How is it that the rest of the GoT world has made no mention of Daenerys' growing army and influence since season 1 or 2? Surely they would have sent another spy since their original one is now in legion with her. If it was easy enough for the older soldier to find and join her ranks, it should be easy enough for the Lannisters and others to keep tabs on her.
They speak of it as if it is unsubstantiated rumor. Also, it may be harder to infiltrate now as before when she was just a child with no loyal following, army, or dragons. Not to mention everyone being too busy with their own personal wars and fears of whitewalkers to concentrate on a child that most didnt think was a true threat to begin with. imo...

No one would send scouts? King Robert was concerned enough to want her dead. Maybe the Lannisters had no knowledge of the Daenerys situation to begin with? After all, Tywin probably thinks he killed all the Targyrian (sp) babies. With the changing of the guard in the South came the opportunity for Daenerys to build her army unchallenged by the other GoT major players. Also, as you said, they are too busy. I need to research just how far she is from the action because it seems that everyone throughout GoT, no matter where they are in the 7 kingdoms, is always up on the latest news.
If i remember correctly even when they held counsel about it with King Robert there wasnt exactly overwhelming sentiment that she was a threat that needed to be killed correct? But it may just come down to her being on the back burner and no one truly having info to verify her progress as Queen. I also seem to remember Tyrion mentioning to his father the "rumors" of a Targaerian with baby dragons but Tywin responding with skepticism.
King Robert saw her as a threat but Ned didn't. I do remember the scene with Tywin and Tyrion. I think that explains it...somewhat. I just watched a vid someone posted above about the history of the Lannisters. Since Daenerys is somewhere near Valeria (I assume) that might explain why the Lannisters have not gone near where she is or even sent spies to confirm the rumors.
