I think Cat knew in her gut that it was a bad look all the way around. She said as much repeatedly. But...the last time she acted on her own instincts and went against Robb (letting Jaime go) it broke down his hold on his camp, so I think she was just walking the line.

I get it but this doesn't explain slipp'in to this disastrous degree. How did Robb ever win a battle again? Geez!

My question now is what happens to the North? In the preview clip of episode 10 it looked like Frey & Bolton set fire to the entire Northern army. With Winterfell buried and more than half of the males who were sent off to war being killed, the population of the North just took a major nose dive. Is there even a North to rule over anymore? Or is Tywin just going to dissolve the whole thing and turn it into Casterly Rock II? I would assume that the only Houses left standing in the North are the Freys, Boltons, Karstarks who bolted after Robb executed their lord, and the Eyrie since they never fully supported the war. But they did lock Tyrion in a sky cell in season one and Tywin doesn't seem like the type to forget or forgive, so the Eyrie might be next on his hit list.

not necessarily. The Freys broke customary by killing their guests after they broke bread and salt, I'm sure alot of people would take that likely. Rob had no reason to not trust the Freys, it just happened dude was bitter and decided to side with Tywin. All these different houses have some sort of beef going but they will work together for political gain, its not like they are buddies and pals

I agree that the Freys broke the customary deal but it was only after Robb broke his deal...Im not saying what they did is right,because it wasnt but Robb's inability to listen to people didnt help either..

You dont kill the lord of a house and then expect his banner man to follow you,that was plain dumb...He could of kept him as a hostage,until after the war ended

Littlerfinger betrayed Ned as soon as he could, especially after Ned choked his ass for having his wife at his place in KL. In my opinion littlefinger pulls a lot of strings in he realm
