Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

cuz robb just wanted to be king of the north. renley/stannis wanted to be king of all seven kingdoms.

It didn't come across that way on the show. I read the books so i won't say anything. But i'm just going to go off the show. And in the show it looks to me like he didn't really want to be king of anything. He wanted to get the mothafuckas who killed his daddy. Waaaaait. Isn't that what Catlyn was doing up at Stormsend in the first place?

Just peeped that scene again on HBOGO, when they first went to attack Jon, shorty got into a fighting stance to hold him down. He knocked her to the ground in an effort to protect her.I don't think they are done yet, dude obviously has feelings for her.

For some reason I'm more angry that Cat/Robb put themselves in that position than I am @ Bolton + Frey...those two dudes just look grimy as hell so I never placed no trust in their characters to begin w/...ppl blaming Robb for reneging on his word and he did but Cat shoulda never made a deal w/ the likes of Frey...never

Oh, and this reminds me .... point 10

10. I never thought this show could produce someone I hated as much as I already hate Joffery, but Bolton and Frey :furious: They've just been added to the list of "If I see the actors that play them on tv, walking the street, I'm fucking em up. No questions asked, no fucks given. I see them .... I'm going HAM."

exactly the most hoe thing you could ever do in life. This Walder Frey fag basically had a nigga moment (Red Wedding). Its like He and Robb were in the club and Robb stepped on his new gators (not marrying his daughter), so to remedy this Walder steps on his gators and send the goons to kill you and yours after the club lets out :smh:

Even tho it was personal...it was also a powerplay on his part as well...I would guess Tywin offered him more than Robb did

he wanted the people who killed his dad, but he also started that convo about the north not needing to bow to a king so far away. after winning a number of battles, and constantly being referred to as 'your grace', the title of king stuck with him.

the dragon bitch annoys the fuck outta me, i don't get why her character is so popular, and while i was shocked about the ending i felt so remorse for rob, u cant go around breaking ur word that u swear in another mans castle, rob was only popular to viewers cause we all liked his father and wanted him to get some form of revenge but if u look at his character he was flawed, he made dumb move after dumb move repeatedly :smh:

I agree. It's like her rise to power has been over the top and predictable. Everywhere she goes you know she's gonna get what she wants and have things work in her favor. Not one setback. Then you add to the fact she's dine nothing to earn it. Just be cute and be gifted shine Dragon eggs??? Bitch was clueless as hell yet has toppled every Empire she's went up against. In a world where there are not many hsppy endings her character arc seems too Disney for the series...

LOL. I guess the loss of her unborn child and the death of her husband don't count for shit. Truth be told she probably has the best claim to the throne of any characters introduced thus far.

In order to be what she is, she couldn't be second in command to her husband... You knew he was gonna die. None of what she's gone through makes her rise to power realistic whatsoever... Shes so beautiful and just, that every one rallies around her to help her cause. She outsmarts everyone she comes up against, gets every soldiers respect yet hasn't done a thing herself really... Man GTFOH...

The power of pussy, even in fiction its the most powerful tool

Just watched the latest episode, haven't read the posts yet. I have chills. I'm damn near crying. TV isn't suppose to do this. Fuck. I'm shook!

You were the one who said "not one setback". That little bitch done lost a lot. Her family was massacred. Her power hungry brother, the only living relative she had left told her to her face that he would let a gang of savages run a train on her if it would get him on the throne. Her husband murked his dumb ass for crossing the line 1 time too many. She lost her husband and her child. Naw, you GTFOH.

Normally, I would have laughed at these. But I just don't have it in me right now. This show has completely fucked up the rest of this day. Maybe this week.

If I had watched this shit in the winter I would've been unhappy for a minute

Can I just add that the completely soundless closing credits what just a brilliant choice? There really wasn't anything you could play over them. Silence was all that was needed. Anything else just wouldn't have been ... right.

RIP House Stark!

Something that hasn't been mentioned yet, but before the doors closed and that song started playing, this episode was really funny. Usually by this time on a Monday, I would have re-watch the episode, but knowing how it's end makes it hard to want to re-watch it. I know I'm not going to be laughing at all the lighthearted shit in the beginning.

Man Jay say you have a school boy crush and call it a day. You think her character arc is normal given the other characters. I don't. But it's obvious you like the bitch and that's why you can't see what isee.

Ya Walder Frey provided a lot of the humorous moments ironically...I'm about to rewatch it now

Take the Starks out of the equation, now give me 5 characters who have PERSONALLY suffered more than she has (mind you I consider Theon a Stark)? Not storylines from the books, strictly people from the show. Your hate is clouding your judgement.

That's because there was silence in living rooms nationwide at the same time.

Watching this with friends last night and them cats was looking at me "like WTF just happened?"

Yep. Very pleased with the TV translation.

I'm curious is the going conclusion that Robb and his Mom didn't see any possibility of this back-firing on them? Especially the mom considering it seemed like she knew this wasn't a dude you screw...

Seems strange...

I''m going to peggy back my question with yours and hope that someone tries to answer it.Because essentially they thought an apology with a substitution would be all that was needed to suppress a blow-up. Well? Anyone?

well at that point it was they either hedge their bets hoping that it all worked out, or not try and be crushed by the lannisters

I think Cat knew in her gut that it was a bad look all the way around. She said as much repeatedly. But...the last time she acted on her own instincts and went against Robb (letting Jaime go) it broke down his hold on his camp, so I think she was just walking the line.

Clearly, they thought it was going to be one way.

My question now is what happens to the North? In the preview clip of episode 10 it looked like Frey & Bolton set fire to the entire Northern army. With Winterfell buried and more than half of the males who were sent off to war being killed, the population of the North just took a major nose dive. Is there even a North to rule over anymore? Or is Tywin just going to dissolve the whole thing and turn it into Casterly Rock II? I would assume that the only Houses left standing in the North are the Freys, Boltons, Karstarks who bolted after Robb executed their lord, and the Eyrie since they never fully supported the war. But they did lock Tyrion in a sky cell in season one and Tywin doesn't seem like the type to forget or forgive, so the Eyrie might be next on his hit list.

I thought Little Finger got the Eyrie.
