Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

If you're not trying to derail why'd you say it? :D And those kids are a totally different matter to me. I said in my other post. IT DIDN'T EFFECT ME. And neither did those others. I don't shed no tears for whites.

NOW. Does anyone feel that Jon recognized or should've recognized 2 big ass dire wolves and been like Oh... Hey.... that's odd? The only 2 direwolves up here? Summer? Shaggy?

i said that.

Question:

In the beginning of the episode,

When Robb asked his Mother to help him plan the rest of the war...

the map had sigils of all the warring families like a chess board.

I noticed a piece with a man crucified upside down on a X...

does this have ANYTHING to do with Theon????

At now you've all learned. This show will not be the usual cliched bullshit. The good guys don't always win. What's a good guy anyway?

GRR Martin is brutal when it comes to his characters. No character is safe, no matter how beloved. Ned's Stark's death was not an aberration, it's practically the norm. The violence of Game of Thrones has nothing on the emotional brutality ... I suppose it's part of what makes it so brilliant. As Theon's creepy torturer guy said, "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention."

but to fair, it all happened so quickly. jon may not realize until later when he thinks about it. after allas far as he knows, bran and rickon are dead. why would he, in a split second situation, immediately realize what was going on, when he had no real reason to?

cause they're the only dire wolves...

like

they haven't come in contact with any random ones and all of them been all around the little world they're in. only ones they've seen have been from the day ned gave em to him.

i kept screaming at arya to let rob's wolf out. i wouldn't have let them cage my wolf up though. the wolves don't do shit unless their person is in danger anyway. those wolves just chill. id have that motherfucker by my side like it was my son.

I think he did recognize them. He gave a look like 'the fuck?'. I think he knew if he stayed and fought he would've lost and would've been killed. They probably would've searched the area and killed his brothers as they had no problems killing the innocent man for no reason. So killing them wouldn't even be a second thought. Leaving clearly got the wildlings out the area as they probably either chased after him or said fuck it and kept it moving because Jon snows brothers were chilln till night time.

makes sense

This is easily the best season for Game of Thrones, they redeemed themselves, after having a shitty Season 2...

I dont see nothing topping the "Red Wedding" for awhile on TV.....:lol::lol::lol:

I got this above Spartacus.....easily...

Speaking of Spartacus folks can't tell me this recent episode didn't remind them of KILL THEM ALL? That episode even including killing a baby still in the womb! The real difference is we knew in Spartacus shit was going to go down and all the "bad" guys were going to die.

.

All I could think during the post-wedding massacre was thank God. I've always felt that the Starks were too stupid to live. Ned got outsmarted by Joffrey, of all people. And Robb lost the game of thrones a long time ago, he was just too dumb to know it. Like the old guy, better to go now quickly than drag it out.

Co-Sign everything, especially the highlight part. Folks, tried to convinced me for weeks oh Ned, his daughters that's why he confessed blah blah blah. Had Ned Starks been a man of honor, yes i said honor "King" Joffrey would have been outted for being the monster of incest that he was and who know most of this story line would have NEVER happened. Instead like a damn fool, he of all people thought by reneging on his oath as the Hand and reneging on the truth and everything his name and families name stood for he could make a deal with a snake...

FUCK NED STARKS and his ENTIRE FAMILY!!! Only the Bastard I'm mildly interesting in seeing his outcome.

Well, Dire wolves are common enough that when Ned and crew saw them, they recognized them as what they were right off. I think the explanation given at that time was that they usually didn't appear that far south of the Wall.

They were close to the wall in that scene , so it's more likely to see one there than any other place south of the Wall. But you are right up to this point in the story, no other dire wolves have been spotted.

I just think Jon didn't have time to cogitate on it for long as he was trying to keep himself from getting killed or clawed up by an eagle.

Shit was incredibly wicked. Ole po Greywind. Yeah i wanted arya to get to that cage myself. lol. And yeah that's what i'm saying to people. Direwolves aren't normal at all. And if people rememebred in the first episode they said Direwolves haven't been seen in AGES. So seeing 2 of them all of a sudden like that would be mad strange to EVERYONE EXCEPT JON.

:confused:i don't know if you were paying attention but, the reason why ned was imprisoned in the first place was BECAUSE he told everyone in court that joffrey was a product of incest! did you watch that episode?

aite i concede. sometimes i forget the little points. dire wolfs are rare enough that jon should've recognized them.

Naw, he was planning a coup because geofry was not a real Barathian.

What was he promised?
What did he have to do for that promise?
Whom promised him?

What did he lose beyond his life for his role? What monster did he allow to perpetuate and reign?
Everything up to this point was it not because of his decision and foolishness?

You're very wrong on this. Ned was in King's Landing and he couldn't go against Joffrey. He was the hand of the king. He was Robert's hand. Not Joffrey's. Ned was a soldier. He was a warrior. You can't shit on somebody(You can but i think it's silly too) For doing something in an arena where they had no experience in BEING. Robert brought Ned there, Ned followed because of his duty he felt to Robert. Robert wasn't as honorable as Ned was. Robert did all kinds of skirting the edges. I don't think Robert even was a 1/10th as honorable as Ned was. Robert to me reads more like a barbarian king, and Ned was like a Knight of the Round table. Percival as a matter of fact. Ned to me is ALL ABOUT honor. The problem with HONORABLE people is that they're often in a world made up of the DISHONORABLE. And sometimes their honor upholding runs crossways with other purposes.

If my beliefs hold true come true on who i think Jon's mother really is i think that'll be a perfect example for all of what i'm saying here. The Starks are honorable people. Robb is still a KID. He did a stupid thing that cost everything, but as a kid you've got to understand Kid's do foolish things sometimes. Even Kid KINGS. Robb was raised to be like his daddy. Honorable, right just. A warrior. They're not made for politics.

Nah i like that other guys view of the point, it makes sense. And plus i've come to the idea that maybe Jon was just super focused at that point. I'VE got to get away and warn Castle Black...

He is still a Cruuuuuh

Yeah right so you might as well kill him, his mother, and pregnant wife when he apologies and tries to mend your relationship

exactly the most hoe thing you could ever do in life. This Walder Frey fag basically had a nigga moment (Red Wedding). Its like He and Robb were in the club and Robb stepped on his new gators (not marrying his daughter), so to remedy this Walder steps on his gators and send the goons to kill you and yours after the club lets out :smh:

you mean renly and stannis were planning

not disputing that ned was an honorable fool, ijs that shit was more complicated than simply 'telling the world' that joffrey is a bastard of incest. he did that, and was promptly arrested. could he have done things differently? yea, but ned thought that honorable deeds were rewarded. ned was more of a soldier, that follows orders, not a pragmatic general. the only reason he inherited winterfell was cuz the rest of his fam was killed.

you mean renly and stannis were planning

Because he found out geofry was a bastard he was going to remove him from the crown and hold it For Stannis who was next in line to be king. Rennly wanted Stark to make him king but Stark wasn't haven't that shit and said its Stannis's turn so Renly ran off with his army, Stark then tries to get little finger to help him but got fingered instead. So that's the reason he was labeled as traitor not because he told everyone Geofeey is a bastard

I'm not necessarily in disagreement with you I just see the situation differently and IMO Ned should have NEVER been that Naive /w a KNOWN enemy. Consider all that he and his family knew about the Lannisters, consider all that he had discovered prior to his death he was a fool not to have seriously considered betrayal, death and/or torment not only towards his family, BUT all families by the tyrant king that HE DIRECTLY helped secured on the Iron Throne by his lie and subsequent staining of his and his families name. Were you know the one whom said early YOUR WORD IS EVERYTHING in this world? Ned doesn't know this?

Ned Stark choose to "save" his family while fucking everyone else's. In the end he accomplished neither of one and all of the other..

Fam,

What "honorable" solider says fuck the world, "I'm just gonna protect mines" WHILE helping to unleash a monster on everyone else?

What "honorable" solider makes a deal with the devil, whom by this time he knows to be and doesn't expect to get sting?

i agree with that, i was just responding to the point that tical seemed to be making that ned was in the position he was in because he didn't tell the wrld that joffrey was a product of incest.

Man, FUCK that "Red Wedding" shit. That bullshit got me 38 hot, last night. I should have read the fucking book........

I see it more like Robb spitting in Frey's face by backing out of his promise and then bringing his "hoe" to his home.

Everyone by now have heard that Geofry is a bastard and no one has done shit about it besides Stannis. You can say anything you want but it won't mean much without proof

Ned was fuck regardless! However, their are varying degrees of being fucked and IMO he chose the most consequential one, not only for himself but his family and everyone else's.

Any book readers troll their non-book reading friends like I did? Pure hilarity
