Yeah but Neds death ws only one character. Tonight two major characters were killed along with an important secondary character who was pregnant ( so technically for characters ) all in one episode in a very dramatic way. That shit was way more shocking than Neds death in some ways.

The Freys served them food as guests. The laws of hospitality state that no harm can be brought upon a guest when they break bread. They made sure that they had a scene where everyone grubbed down. Catelyn thought they had nothing to fear since they ate food. When the Rains started playing and they bolted the door, the writing was on the wall and shit was too late.

Remember she was raised by her half crazy brother and she's just now getting some real mentorship from Barristan and Jorah. So its gonna take awhile for her character to develop into being a strong leader and she will make mistakes along the way. Also she.needs time for her dragons to grow.

The second problem is that she is way over in a whole other can continent so she can't really impact the story that is going on Westeros yet.

ain't no imaginary dream sequences in this story, get that outta ya head as far as starks go, you still got bran, rickon, jon, arya and sansa.

keep in mind, that this season only covers a lil over half of the third book, which is very pivotal for the overall story. tons more shit will happen, but you won't get to see it till next year.

When I was listening to the books,last year,I would nod to sleep,because her story is boring as hell....

Ill admit that she has her moments but 99% of the time,it has no impact whatsoever on the story..I know...I know...GRRM is going to tie her story together but all she does is worry her dragons and freeing slaves...

I would rather them go into Bran's story line more but I know that shit wont happen..
