{--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 4 - Pacers 3--}

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

The Heat better win tomorrow or I am going to get very upset

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

My expert analysis for the rest of the series... :D

Miami will win the series, I believe in 7 games.

Miami is NOT the better team, the teams are actually very close man to a man, except for LeBron, who is the XFactor, for the following reasons:

The Heat have the advantage, of having LeBron, but not because he's the best player in the world, which he is, but because out of all the players to take the floor, he has the most unique ability to feed off of his teammates, and figure out how to best use his skills to compliment them as well as lead them (See Game 3).

If he can get just one player to play to their potential, the Heat are tough to beat. One thing the Pacers have shown is hella heart and resiliency (see Stephenson's performance in game 4), but the way Paul George has played in the past two games has to be troubling. Hibbert will get his done, but you can't expect Stephenson to play above himself for the next 3 games, as Miami will adjust defensively.

Once LeBron finds his niche, be it in the post or slashing, it's ball game, as long as he has a role player compliment.

I look for Bosh to cancel out Hibbert, by pulling him away from the basket (Miami started this in game 4 and got away from it).

Miami has more options with LeBron and Bosh than the Pacers have. Their only chance is to pound it into Hibbert and hope the Heat role players keep shooting bricks...

That's my take, and I didn't mention Wade, because he is injured, and while he will give you a spurts of a few minutes each, his ability to be an elite guy and control games is over...

Heat in 7 games, close games, but with the media attention on the Refs right now, they will not play as big a part in screwing up the flow of the games...
:hmm:

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 1--}

I still think the Heat need to tighten up their defence(which is the more important issue)

I'm pretty this been discussed to the fullest, but I think the Heat players pick on too many silly fouls. Yea the refs call bullshit, but it don't seem like the Heat is locked In on defense. Wade being slow is fucking killing the defensive scheme. Lance is outplaying him, which shouldn't happen, even if he's not at full strength. Wade having his moments but at this point they're to far apart.

Lebron your the MVP, much is asked of you. Maximum effort is needed over these next TWO games. If I could ask one thing of you it would be too, look back at the following games:

You vs Boston last year playoffs
You vs Indiana last year playoffs
Jordan 55 point game
Kobe's 81 point game

Great games, but I'm more focused on the pace of the field goal attempts.
Offensive schemes dictate the flow often, but players can also, by attack the defender, within two seconds of receiving the ball. I'm not talking about run and gun, calculated quick attacks.
Granted Mike and Kobe pull up jumper seems to go in at a better rate, but that's because they're shooting guards.

Mario just keep up the good work, but you pick up three dumbass fouls a games.
I'm just saying!!!

Spo - nothing kinfolk, nothing

Bosh - talk to Coach Spo, maybe he'll listen to you about letting the offense flow thru you on the MUDDA FUCKING BOX...

Birdman - relax, relax on defense, gather yourself then go at it again...

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

I don't want to hear Miami Heat fans say shit about bad officiating STFU!!

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

:lol::lol::lol:
The post was cool... :cheers:

It's just the expert analysis part that had me goin... :lol:

Yeah, had to add a swerve... I really see the rest of the series playing out like that though... I have no hate at all for LBj or the Heat, I just believe he is going to be the difference, if he gets a little help! He can do the most with a little out of anyone else in the series...

Plus a Pacers/Spurs finals?!?!?! Cosby show reruns would get better ratings than that series!
:smh:

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

Damn, Bron sent tapes to the league. :eek: Refs stepped in some shit now. :dance:

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 1--}

To be fair... Joey isn't the ONLY culprit... :smh:

Derrick Staford is fast becoming one of the worst in my opinion... :smh:

Haywood Workman is FUCKIN BLIND AS BAT... :smh:

There's another Black ref, I can't remember his name... but he's terrible... :smh:

If you ask me... The BEST ref in the game... might be... Violet Palmer... :yes:

I hear people complaining about officiating but what about the game 2 last series between Bulls and Heat? The Heat won with their superior talent but fagget ass Scott Foster was still laying it on thick with the bogus ass missed calls:angry:. I am glad Noah and Gibson and later Thibbs snapped the fuck off. Scott Foster is a certified sensitive bitch ass cac who was named in the book of cheating refs. Why he is still a ref is criminal in itself. Scott Foster needs to be in a court hearing the phrase "will the defendant please rise".

On the Miami side of things I still see them winning this series somehow. Why because they have the best player in the league. However why in the hell is Lewis, Miller, and Anthony not playing:

1. Rashard Lewis is at least bigger than Shane Floppier and is a legit shooting threat. Being bigger he could use some fouls on West plus West will respect his shot. Spo is a straight up asshole for not playing Lewis:smh:

2. Mike Miller could give them a good 7-10 minute stretch and he is a legit shooter. Once again Spo is an asshole.

3. Joel Anthony could bang and use his fouls equally against Hibbert and West. Spo is an asshole.

On the Indiana side I think they are good enough to win and have proved it by dictating tempo the Heat minus the blowout. The question though will they be able to continue to dictate the tempo? Give the Pacers due for slowing the game down into a half court grind and stopping Miami from running. The only real weakness and it is one that is a glaring one is that they have zero shooters on their team. That will probably be their undoing because Lance and Hill are streaky at best but not pure shooters. Even if they were to advance not having Danny Granger who was their best shooter will be even more apparent against the Spurs. Once again I say their lack of pure shooting could be their potential downfall vs. Heat or Spurs.

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

Scott Foster looks like he has a gambling problem... :lol:

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

funny its THIS game that they review there have been some seriously shitty officiated games this playoffs

Basically.

But when I heard about LBJ getting in foul trouble & getting fouled out....when before that game the refs were scared to call a foul on him all season...I knew people would start talking about the refs.

Funny aint it?

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

it all works out in the end

Good points tho

Its funny how people see things. Spoelstra and the Miami Heat have not been the ones who have gone on tirades against the refs or have been the one trying to massage opinion in press conferences.

You know what they said. We misexecuted down the stretch.

I have never believed in a shortened rotation simply because of playoffs. I believe in a game by game reason for doing things

as for the worse officiated games................i'll bite.

what were they

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

The main problem is that Indiana big men were very physical in the paint, and if the Heat fought back they were called for a foul, if they didn't Indiana manhandled them... The worse foul was the one called on Bosh after he got thrown to the grown and injured. Shit I saw several plays where there were two Heat players were on the ground and no foul called. They could not even box out with out getting shoved out of the way or their bigs going over the top, but when they tried pushing back they got the whistle.. Another bad call was at the end of the third when LeBron was being heckled held and slapped bringing the ball up with a few secs left in the quarter, and he tried to defend himself by shrugging off the slaps, and he is called for the foul..:smh:
Blown calls are one thing, its part of the game, so is allowing teams to play physical, just as long as the calls are consistent, but that fuckery of allowing one team, especially a bigger more physical team to virtually maul the other and yet tick tack calls are called on the other team for defending themselves, well what happens is what almost happen twice in the game, you get players injured and fucked up..
I've never seen so many players on one side knocked to the ground and yet they were the ones being called for fouls..
Look I can accept and put up with a whole lot of bullshit, but once the game gets so fucked up your star players are getting injured and called for fouls for getting thrown to the floor, well to me thats when basketball is no longer basketball, if they going to do that shit, call it another name, cause it sure isn't basketball to me.

The play Bosh got hurt on was not a foul both players were leaning against each other and Bosh just dropped and Hibbert dropped bc he had his body up against him. RR before this series you were shocked bc I said the refs controls the games but all the sudden you are against the them? In the past when I saw heat players all over the floor it was from flopping.

But they called a foul on Bosh.....
I heard what you said and you was referring to individual calls, and I get it, teams who are agressive to the paint tend to get more calls than pull up jump shooting teams, thats baskeball 101 from the start. So I get most of the calls Indiana gets.. What I, and many other are complaining about is how Indiana, the bigger team was allowed to be physical, and even rewarded for their agression while the smaller team, the one who needed it the more was punished for their speed and aggression. It was to the point where half of the Heat starter were thrown out or ready to be thrown out, while two of them almost got injured...
How is that even possible, the team that is getting beat up and injured is also the team that is in foul trouble..:smh:
If you want to let them rumble then let them rumble, but don't say its ok for one team and punish the other...

Come on man the NBA is gonna make sure this series end in 7 games so they will make that extra money. Just watch and see how game 7 goes.

What they are going to do is wind up getting players seriously hurt...:smh: Thats where I draw the line at!

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

I don't care what everyone is saying it's not a player in basketball that drives hole and has more moves then Rose.

Notice how he and just about everyone who drives to the hole hard wound up injured..:smh:

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

the burden of proof is on you you said he shoots 38 percent from outside of 9 ft.. I thought you were going to hit me with an advancded chart or something showing me proof and your eyes ? is the proof... why not 37 percent or 39 don't hit me with your eyes bullshit

Do you really think most wing players are shooting 50 percent midrange ? consistently ...

I could post some advanced stats ,but I'll wait.. before I do

what percentage do you think is good from say 10-15..ft 16-23 ft ?

and name a few players you think are going that
Sorry for the delay brickwall. Totally forgot about our exchange until i went back in this thread.

I have no problem with having the burden of proof. I merely asked if you disputing a fact before proceeding. It was actually a opportunity for you to adjust your stance and concede the point that the guy is a terrible shooter. And actually i was wrong. After doing a quick google search, i discovered that my initial figure of 38% was far too generous. He is actually hovering around 35% outside of the paint. That my friend, is atrocious. No wonder you attempted to assign a 3point argument to me in efforts to mitigate the damage.

http://stats.nba.com/playerStats.ht...plitsShooting&MeasureType=Base&PerMode=Totals

Now, lets not try to spin this into a comparative analysis of what i think "most swingman" shoot or what i want him to shoot. Lets deal with basic facts of this exchange between you and I first and foremost. Here is a basic recap:

1. I state that Wade is a terrible shooter.

2. You state that my assertion is a myth and offer his 50% fg% as proof.

3. I inform you that a shooting percentage should not be confused with shooting ability and offer food for thought that he is significantly lower than that from outside the point.

4. You assign a three point argument to me while asking for proof.

5. I clarify my point and debunk your accusations that i first mentioned 3point prowess.

6. You again ask for proof, and plant a subtle escape route in the event that you are wrong in the form of laying the foundation for a comparative analysis of his putrid numbers in order to explain away his futility.

Sound about right so far?

Cool. Now explain to me on what planet is a starting so-called superstar shooting guard shooting 35% from outside the paint NOT an abomination?

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

Scott Foster looks like he has a gambling problem... :lol:

It's a fact that he does. He was exposed when Tim Donaghy got busted but David Stern tried to brush it under the rug and paint the picture that Donaghy was "a rogue official working alone"

:smh:

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

100 free throws. Even worse officiating.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Niggas got gifted a title and in here and other places in America complaining

Oh wait, most of these people weren't Heat fans then :lol:

Re: {--Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers - East Conf. Finals 2013--Miami 2- 2--}

General thread question.... with all the talks about how bad the refs have been, can anyone point out specific cases where the bad call favored the Heat and were against the Pacers? If they have my bad, wasn't going to look for a needle in a haystack to find one but all I hear is about the LBJ call and the Wade call.... So, is the officiating bad or is it just that there were some call against the Heat that Heat fans didn't agree with?

Just curious :confused:

Hmm...I wonder where we've seen this before? :idea:

Oh yea, the Bulls v Heat last series when we were getting injured yet tossed out of games left and right. Oh the irony.
