They couldnt sharpen up in any areas at all. None.

i don't think i did.

the advantages were still there.

and what the heat needed to do, they did.

coupled with indiana going away from what they should have done.

we'll see what happens in game 4.

Absolutely.

7 games allows for adjustments and counter moves.

The PAcers can goback to the drawing board and throw Miami a curve now.

Miami has been one of the best road teams in the playoffs for the last 2 years.

Winning a game in Indiana was always very possible and people acting like Indy was definitely coming back to Miami up 3-1 was laughable.

my thought was indy should have come out with desperation for this game and win so that game 4 wouldn't be for the series, like it is right now.

if they had won tonight then they could have put pressure on miami to win game 4. tonight all the pressure was on indiana imo.


now its on them again.

I think the biggest counter was James in the post, EARLY...doubles will eventually come, so it's up to the shooters then...


Indiana don't have anything sexy to throw out there.
What other wrinkle can they throw at might?

they don't need to throw in a wrinkle on offense. the offense dictates everything.

if they feed the post miami has to adjust their defense and either foul or leave shooters wide open.

it also slows down the pace because the pacers board well and the aren't long jumpers which lead to breaks like tonight. it also cuts turnovers in half as well. just everything hinges on this but they didn't do it

hibbert had 20-17 and do you even remember him getting the ball 3 possessions in a row?

pacers got fouled in the paint cause that's all miami can do with west and hibbert. so offensively that's money

defensively they can try and trap lebron early. or front him and have hibbert behind the front so that the catch isn't an easy finish.

if they do it they have to do it quick and from the strong side because lebron is excellent at weak side passes.

Like I said refs trying to keep the pacers in this and have been the first 2 games and clear as day in the 3rd day but it didn't matter

miami only missed 4 free throws. indiana missed 14 of them.

more assists

steals for the turnovers.
and indiana got shots up and just missed...

if they go back to what they do a lot of that changes.

full credit to the heat for dictating the pace of the game.

if they both play perfect, miami wins.

the notion that indiana played close to how they have been playing these playoffs, how they can play or even as well as game 1 or 2 is the problem.

Once he develops that fade away and some double moves he's gonna be a tough cover, for taller defenders.

They'll run some switches or as soon as Lebron puts the ball on the floor, they will run a defender at him.

I really don't think it matter much. Miami winning is predicated on role-players making their open looks.

Lebron in the post causes even more problems because then ball-rotation is going to kill the Pacers. The Pacers have played all year exclusively in man to man and not playing help defense. So if they start now, people aren't gonna know where they need to be on rotations and Jesus gonna start getting wide open threes. I would rather have Lebron put up 35 than getting the Heat jump shooters wide open shots.

If they start doubling Lebron they're not gonna win another game. Lebron is too good of a passer to have him feeding people from the post. That's when Miami plays their best ball because Lebron hits them in their sweet spots for wide open sets shots. That's when miami starts raining.

Indiana will probably need to run some switches and get a bigger body on Lebron when he starts going to the post. They'll have to devise a scheme to get George off him.
