i can live with any other player beating me on a jump shot; i can even live with lebron taking a jumper to beat me.
but i'll be damn if i open-up the lane like a hooker's legs and allow lebron, THE BEST COT DAMN PLAYER ON THE PLANET, to take a lay-up to beat me.

running by a jump shooter is more effective than lunging at him to block the shot.
how often do you see anyone actually blocking a jump shot? but running by them or putting a hand in their face distracts them.
