Its not the same situation but the Knicks needed to change their offensive philosophy several games ago.

the players just stand there. and once most are chased off the 3 they're useless sans melo.

I'm talking this series against a defensive team like the Grizzlies who play a similar style to the Pacers.

KD shot better than 50% in two games so far and also put up "Melo" shooting percentages, 10-28, 10-27.

I'm using that to establish that the lack of his superstar running mate is a contributing factor to his slight regression.

Melo's a victim of being out coached and not having that second guy to take some pressure off him. Look at the spacing of the Pacers series. Their bigs play off the paint because they don't fear anyone down low and we don't put shooters to spread the floor.

Melo has played like poo but he doesn't deserve this blame. Woody earned this.

On a normal team yes... but, with the Knicks, yeah, Felton brings the ball up but once the ball hits Melo's hands, HE controls their flow. Too many ISOs, he is a offensive stoppage and there is no flow once he gets the ball most of the time. That's worse when he's shooting 25-30 shots a game and hitting 40% of those shots. In addition, he gives you NOTHING ELSE!!!

It's next to hilarious hearing everyone putting the blame on the entire team, role players who were put in to be role players, and giving free passes to Melo because the role players aren't playing like superstars? Makes no sense what so every. The reason they can't get in a flow is because there is no drive and kick, and when you are missing 60 percent of mostly jumpshots, how the hell are you supposed to get those off bounce rebounds against a bigger team...

And everybody Melo guards has a defensive mismatch, therefore Paul George is having a monster series... you can't hide Melo defensively in a series like this, and he's getting owned offensively AND defensive... Yeah, a true superstar at his craft...

Ground Hogs day in the playoffs for him, yet again... :hmm:
 
I wonder what the line is on Game 6 with the Knicks at home. I'm betting they fold and I'd put money against them at this point.

It's simple, Charles Barkley was right. We don't rebound, haven't all year. Pacers are horrid offensively but the get rebounds. I'd love to see a graphic of 2nd Chance points between the teams. We have no one that can bang with Indy.


My annoyance is that we keep trying to. I've been saying this shit since game 1. You beat Indy by making them play your game not the other way around. Starting Kmart was desperation and played right into Indys hands. Go small, stretch the floor, draw Hibbert out of the paint with Stoudemires jumper and watch the layups come.

No, they keep going right at the pacer big men like some assholes. Especially Melo and JR.

In theory your approach to how the Knicks can win is correct... however that shit only works when your parameter players are making shots, and they aren't... Plus, Woody's stubborn ass keeps your best parameter players on the bench too damn long.

Also, please stop caping for Melo... He is the face of the franchise, the STAR of the team, and at the end of the day, win or lose he HAS to perform better... When you want to be the man, and you fuck up, the blame rests on your head...

If the Heat lose, nobody is going to blame Bosh, Wade, or Battier, they are going to dissect and over analyze LeBron's play and find ways to blame him... This has been proven before (the first year in Miami)... If Melo wants to be known as a superstar, he HAS to perform like one, regardless of how his lesser teammates play. To blame them for his bullshit, is weak ass thinking IMO...

Man living in NY I meet some of the most delusional fans on the face of the earth... For one, how is it you meet someone for the fist time and just assume that everyone is a Knick fan... You know how many kats just meet me and they start talking we going to win it all this year, bla bla bla junk... Mind you I root for the Heat but I also live in Brooklyn and we have a team out there, you know!! Next they really believe in the shit they pop, they really believed the Knicks was going to win it all, shit I love the Heat chances and sure they are favorite to winning it all, but nothing is written in stone and any team can be beat. There was folks even on BGOL talking as if they knew with out a doubt Melo was going to win the MVP, these people would look at you like you was crazy if you suggest someone else was going to win..:smh:

I never speak ill of any fan who follow shitty teams, remember I am also a NY Mets fan and for years the 49er was doo doo and ask any 9er fan here they would tell you I rode with them back in their dark days...

Alright I dig that fam, and I meant nothing disrespectful with my posts. Delusional people in general make life "interesting" but I see most Knicks fans as having stockholme syndrome.

It's a deep loyalty to the team that reps your city, state, area, but failing to discuss issues objectively is what is puzzling.

Look, I love this team and HATE the ownership and culture of MSG. I can't walk away from them because it would never been genuine because if it took 60 years for them to win a chip, on that 60th year I'd be smiling.

BDR and several others been bailed so I guess it's possible but I ride with this shitty franchise until the wheels fall off.

And sorry about the Mets. The 80s were epic as a youngin in NY, especially when the Yanks were shitty lol
