No. He liked me. And one of the attacks used against me was my skin color, hair so on and so forth. It's beyond hs as well. Even now. Women will hate on you because of skin tone. Even if it was 3rd on the list, Think about that. It shouldn't happen. and it's still seen TO ME, as a disadvantage. And it wasn't ever a "turn down", i'm not the type to speak like that. But again. I see it as a disadvantage.

Hell the worst disadvantage is when i was in the work force and whites would for some reason feel comfy enough to think they could talk about black people to me.

I'm brown-skinned but have so-called "good hair." I remember being a kid and having my mother, cousins, and other women fawn over me because of my hair. As an adult, I've had a few people ask me if I had a "kit" in my hair, or speculate that I wasn't "all the way black."

But this "light skin/good hair" shit is still very much alive in the black community, although it varies depending on where you live and what circles you role in. I'm still in awe of the "educated" black people I've met who are still on that bullshit, as if they have no consciousness whatsoever. I believe what WTGGT has to say because I've seen light-skinned women get hated on. Hell, a lot of the hate directed towards Beyonce is based on this. But I've also seen light-skinned women who think they're hot shit due to their complexion, or due to the niggas who have gassed their heads. However, I think the popularity of interracial dating has humbled those types of sistas. Why go light if you can go white (or Latina or Asian)?

I haven't known too many brothers on this color shit, so I'm surprised by the comments in this thread. It seems like gay niggas are the only ones who harp on it.
 
The reverse is true. Which is why i said in the beginning how if elt. And what i experienced really was no different than what we do to 1 another period. Light skinned women, DO think they're the hotness and often because of being light skinned. And i find it disgusting. I find it disgusting because i know where it comes from. And i know that people have adopted that white supremacist view of themselves. And it's actually a mix of heart breaking and infuriating.

I can't recall a light skinned man ever reveling in that he was light.

As a female, if I am nicely dressed and have my hair done nicely I generally fear very little police fuckery but that was proven wrong a few months ago and it was REALLY bad too :smh: What sucks is that CACs feel comfortable enough to come and ask you any and every idiotic auestion about Black people and make all types of broad sweeping incorrect assumptions about your "ethnicity" or whatever. Then you have super ignorant "brothers" say shit like "I always wanted a pretty light skin ting like you" or whatever other similar fuckery. Then same guys or other Black people automatically assume you "think you are better" and have no problem being extremely loud about it too when you were just sitting in the corner minding your own business. Not all its cracked up to be and a real fukkin pain in the ass oftentimes.

I stayed getting bullied by my own because of my dark nature. Till this day the dumbest shit I have ever been told was to go back to Africa by my own. The crazy thing was they wasn't much lighter than me. I can't front shit hurt deep. I got into way to many fights behind it, to the point that I was kicked out of two schools for violent behavior. I hold no bitterness though, I'm dark because while those clowns was spending their summer vacations in the projects, I would spend my summers on the beautiful beaches of Antigua absorbing the sun like I was muthafuckin Superman!, eating Mangos that I picked from my grandmothers back yard. its all love though!
