Re: Kobe's OUT

He is coming back. He'll get the best surgery and go take a sight seeing trip in India where he can't be tested for "banned shit" to make his shit right......

He is too old to play that Rose "sit out a year play fair" shit....

and if he did that
i wouldn't be mad one bit

Re: Kobe's OUT

Kobe already come up limping a few times tonight. Coach ran him into the ground.

Btw... they called a foul on that play too...smh

Re: Kobe's OUT

Nor would I.

A lot of cats see this as the end; Kobe sees it as an opportunity. He is that fucking vicious. Score 23ppg after this, at his age, and win a chip...........

don't know about winning a chip but i would not be mad if he took hgh and whatever he wanted to in order to come back long as he quit before the season.

somebody needs to get rid of mike shanahan QUICK before he ruins rg3

Re: Kobe's OUT

Everyone here knows I am not the biggest Kobe lover, but for the love of the game it is sad to see him out.. One thing about playing like its game 7 every single game, players tend to have to go out every single min thus leading to injury and fatigue.. However, I'm sure if there is a player who is able to bounce back at this age it has to be Kobe..

PRO BASKETBALL; Achilles' Tendon Injury Ends Wilkins's Season

Dominique Wilkins, needing 25 points to reach the 20,000 mark in his career, sustained a season-ending ruptured right Achilles' tendon in the second quarter of tonight's game between Atlanta and Philadelphia.

Dr. David Apple, the Hawks' team physician, said Wilkins would be out for six to nine months.

"I'll be back," Wilkins said after the game. "When I heard it pop, I knew what it was. First thing on my mind was my season was over and I started thinking about next year.

"I knew it was pretty bad."

Apple said the 10-year veteran would undergo surgery in a few days, adding that 99 percent of the time the operation and recovery is successful.

Earlier today, Wilkins was named a reserve forward on the Eastern Conference All-Star team. It would have been his seventh appearance in the All-Star Game. Wilkins was second in the N.B.A. in scoring this season with a 28.6 average.

He had hoped to cap the day by becoming only the 17th player in N.B.A. history to reach the 20,000-point plateau -- the 21st including players in the defunct A.B.A.

Que was a shell of himself after the surgery ...

Re: Kobe's OUT

I never liked the Lakers or been a Kobe fan but seeing him play no player in the league was playing with more heart. If his career is over the NBA is stuck with a bunch of soft players that's all trying to be best friends.

Tru Dat. Somewhere David Stern is crying in the car. He was setting up the Lakers to take out OKC in the first round of the playoffs. Now that that made-for-TV mini-series (no pun intended) pilot is ova and he may have to find a way to keep folks awake during the first round of the playoffs if Utah squeaks in...

They are going to be on his ass looking for that shit, people already trying to make him out to be the Ray Lewis of the NBA...

Re: Kobe's OUT

Karma, when you cheat as bad as the NBA does for them, the universe will work the rest out.

:hmm:

man. get. the. fuk. outta. here. with. that. bullsheit.

calls don't go for the lakers any more than they go or any other team. u mutha fukas be reckless talking like the entire laker roster is a junior variety team from the suburbs and that the league conspires to put them on top.

WHY tha fuk would an organization that reaps hundreds of millions of dollars in profit per year risk that profit by showing fans that the game is rigged? nobody would watch if they thought the game was fixed. so was 'karma' working against derrick rose when he went down? why did 'karma' knock out d-wade? guess all that cheating to get them into the finals all these years finally took a toll on those two dudes, huh? :smh:

League ratings will decline with no Kobe in the league. They can hype up master flopper if they like but the interest won't be the same.

DR did you watch the game tonight?

Re: Kobe's OUT

DR did you watch the game tonight?

yeah man. i was like :( then i was like  then i was like

but when kobe went down and started limping off the court i was like :scared:
cause w/o the mamba it ain't lookin good for us against either houston or san antonio.

man i'm dreading that spurs game too :smh:

it's like the lakers have flashes of a championship caliber team at times. but at other times they sleep walk, miss assignments, don't communicate to each other, don't hustle, etc. and sometimes it seems that i care more about those dudes winning than THEY do. and when they play like that, kobe gotta come through and provide the spark by putting a foot in their azz and doing his thing. but w/o that sheit, i fear they may just fold up like lawn chairs

Re: Kobe's OUT

Dang. That's not an injury I wish upon anyone.

The MRI will show how bad it is but he could easily be out for a year and never get back to 100%. Even if they squeak into playoffs they won't be contenders. Think about what this means for the Lakers organization and future. D'Antoni's job might be in jeopardy, Howard could easily go up on the trading block. This could be the start of the post-Kobe era for LAL.

Re: Kobe's OUT

D'antoni....:angry::angry:

yea D'antoni fucked the whole season up with his coaching.....should have been cut his minutes and pound the ball to his big men....that man is a warrior that you mentally can't stop and thats what made Phil great...he would have never let Kobe play 40 minutes....DA said fuck it let his ass play....and its going to cost him his job

Re: Kobe's OUT

But I thought Mike Brown and the Princeton offense were the problems.

Jimmy is about to have the Lakers looking like the 80s / 90s Clippers if he keeps these bad decisions up.

This injury makes Howard long-term stay more probable.
