No prob coco. I used to LOVE mac.. but I realized that their products are decent but their marketing is BETTER. With all the pretty colors and sleek packaging Its really easy to get tunnel vision with mac..lol. When it comes to variety of colors they will win every time...Quality wise? There is better stuff out there.

IMHO:
Primers: derma blend>> or Makeup forever
Liquid Foundation: Makeup forever..period and goodnight LOL.
Face powders: derma blend, or smashbox >>>>
Finishing powders: makeup forever>> or smashbox
Concealers: derma blend..period ..something lighter? Makeup forever..Mac used to be competitive here but they discontinued their best concealer. :smh: Something very light weight? Smashbox
Shadows: Color wise you cannot beat Mac with variety. Quality wise I prefer Urban decay..and they don't test on animals. Urban Decay has the best palettes.
Eye liners: Liquid/gel- bobbi brown >> Pencil: Make up forever, urban decay or stila >>
bronzers: Mac >>> bobbi brown or too faced, tarte
brows: too faced
Lips: Gloss: Boxom, lancome
Lipsticks: mac = colors , Givenchy, boxom
Mascara: Lancome PERIOD...LOL.

If I could stop being lazy after hanging out late last night, I could probably get up and go out and buy me some new goodies. But my body isn't having it, but I have everything in my phone. I even have to get new brushes, because I've been procrastinating on that for a while now.

I've been trying to make it to sephora all week..its only 10 min away. I want to try that gel rihanna uses. Her skin glows under her makeup!

I did go last Sunday and bought the urban decay Ammo palette, I think is what it's called , and my daughter used it and asked could she have it, and of course I said yes. So I have to stop in the mall tomorrow and will pick up something else, but she loves it so far.

get a PPID card... you gotta ask for the application for it @ a MAC PRO store....:D:dance::dance::dance: get that.... fill it out & IF.... you have a business card that displays ya work / have a portfolio with you of some of your work.... you good money.... those things arent hard to make up these days.... outside of that... you can come up on an entire make up line working trade shows like FSO in atlanta or other convention shows like it that feature products & services for women.... representatives from those lines usually holla @ me AFTER the show is over for the night... they dnt mind GIVING it to you cause the potential / possibility of them reaping the reward off their investment is grate...

ppl with products that they believe in want ppl that are good @ what they do to test their shit out..& give them feed back...

MAC also has MAC bootcamp... these are various types of make up classes afforded to you via that PPID card.... the classes are worth it! If you have to pay for them... ijs...

any ladies into conturing?

ive gotten so many mixed reviews on it for dark skin

ive been told we shouldnt because its a "white" people thing

ive been told we should only use a dark shade for the cheek bones and forehead...and ive heard we should only use a light shade for under the eyes and cheekbones

ive also been told just to use blush

im not too interested in nose conturing but i like the way it makes your cheek bones look...anyone tried this?

from a photographer's prescriptive who is husband to an MUA, my opinion is that contouring is necessary. in photography via post processing, contouring is necessary for skin. highlights next to shadows give skin a look of depth

this website will find the drugstore dupe for a high end shade. Its pretty epic. I used it to find a match to my studiofix nw45 and the site found a drugstore brand that matched very closely. It also gives you info on coverage and categorizes it by brand. I am going to see how it does with lipsticks today
