What other races practiced racism

What are the races in Uganda?

:confused::confused::confused:

The indigenous Africans and the Indians.

So "Indian" is a race?

I thought it was a nationality?

African is a race?

So I guess American is a race according to your perspective.

Isn't American a race too?

:hmm:

The premise of your argument seems to revolve around what you deem to be a race.
They ain't African, they ain't negro and they ain't white.....so you tell me, what are they???

They are non-white.

There is white and non-white.

Whites don't care who the fuck is non-white in terms of classification.

Why is it so difficult to pinpoint races other than white?

Cause white is all that matters when it comes to race.

White is the basis for organization in creating and structuring racism.

Just ask yourself why you have so much problems identifying races other than white........

I don't any difficulty at all.
You're the one that admittedly has difficulty identifying them.

I've said before race is an arbitrary definition.

I only know Negro and Caucasian if those are the correct terms, which is why I said, I'm sure you can google it.

Earlier you said you only know "negro" and "caucasian" but I can google it.

Then you said Hutu and Tutsi

Then you mentioned Africa and indian

Now you are saying you have no difficulty at all.

So far you said the races are made up of:

1. Negro
2. caucasian
3. Hutu
4. Tutsi
5. African
6. Indian

Those are the ones you mentioned.

Would you like to leave the list as is or change it?

You're struggling with one, that being white, when white is a colour..

Indians practiced racism against the indigenous Africans.
I've made no comparison with anyone else's racism, it's not a competition!!

in the case of indians in ugandan ..pls tell me how racism was practiced..

Becos..in the case of american/european racism as the question was asked "

Forced slave labor
segregation
dehumanization
political suppression
military oppression
lynching
employment discrimination
housing discrimination
DISPLACEMENT
family and societal breakup
rape

all backed and sponsored by the government!!

pls show us the ugandan equivalent racism

The practice of White Supremacy is the disease that gave birth to classifying people into races when we are all part of the human race...

look in the census how do you classify Hispanics as a whole then ask for Hispanics non white

I told you it's not a competition to see who suffered the most.
I'm not making that argument and that was never the topic of discussion.

NO THE HELL THEY WERE NOT !!!! if you knew the history you would know that the tutsi were the ones to oppress the hutu from before white people came. you would also know that in the 1970s the same tutsis committed genocide against the hutu. look up the burundian genocide. those fucking tutsis are snakes.

Shows you don't know what you are talking about. When did colonialism begin in on the Continent of Africa? :smh:

Kanya "Hate is Baggage" you let racism eat at you like a cancer :( What is you're objective when you make with these threads?

Because if some doesn't speak on it then people gives no fucks about it. Thus it creates ignorance and people forget the true history of racism.

Its one if those things that people will think "things are just because"....and that can not happen.

Not speaking for Kaya. That is just what I get from his threads. Educational

It doesn't bother me at all...Is it to show everyone outside of black people are racist, and there's no way blacks can be the same? I will ask you the same question are you racist? Do you hate everything that's not black?

Please STOP!!!! :smh::smh::smh::smh:

That genocide came AFTER tha Tutsi were placed over tha Hutus during Rwandas colonization period. Before being colonized they had no hostile relationship. They may have bumped heads here and there but never to a scale of mass violence and killings.

For the dialogue it inspires, obviously. I think Brother Kaya does a great job, I normally agree with him I'll admit, yet he does put things in a simple perspective thats telling when it irks ppl. You came into a thread just to wonder about its intentions? Do you have anything to contribute to the conversation?

For the record, now that yall got me typing I agree with the brother above that said white supremacy is the root of all this, indeed, it is, brother!

That's the thing. Most black don't hate other races period. No other race can hate like the white race. Blacks are the most forgiving race. We stay trusting all others but our own kind. See the backwardness in that?

So do you consider yourself prejudice or racist?

The terms prejudice and racist are not interchangeable. That are NOT the same, ask any sociologist.

Unlike prejudice which is between individuals, Racism is embedded in the very fabric of a society. Those who are receiving the benefits and privileges of Racism can afford to be oblivious of its structure because they are unaffected by it.

Yes I wondered about the intentions.. So where do we go from here? They are evil devils, got that...So now what should I do? It's like some of you feel like being black is a crutch.

Dealing with a system so powerful one must attack it educationally and economically.

Personally for myself I am attacking racism by going after the media and the perception of Blacks. My intentions is to kill negative stereotypes and bring forth the the humble fabric of Blacks in America.

I have a plan set in stone and I am working on a monumental feat. And it WILL succeed.

My plan will not end racism, but it damn sure will wound it. I promise and mark my words. I will not fail in my goal.

I can not stop ignorance but I damn sure can educate on a global scale. I already do it with my website.

I love my skin, sir, always have. i live in a dumbly segregated seat of power on this planet and i know well my place in it. We, ie humanity, need to be frank and forthcoming on this subject so that we may well move pass it. No matter where you, in particular, believe this evil (racism) comes from if you acknowledge it exists, then it must be eradicated. For the betterment of all people, no?

Got it bruh, and I'm not trying to be a smart ass I'm just trying to find some clarity. I love my blackness and never felt inferior to any man. But the more I come on BGOL, it seems like I never actually live the average black man life. I know I'm probably going take some heat for that, but it's the truth.

i think this is where you might have it confused.
i for one certainly don't feel inferior to white people.
the whole reason racism exist is because they know in their soul that they are in fact inferior to us.

so it comes from a place of hurdling barriers and coming out on top as a challenge that we can accept and win.

when we speak on white folks we not worried or scared about them we're being self aware.

being self aware is not being afraid.

and there is no set way to live as a black man we're capable of having any type of life there is.

some of us are above average some are not. some of us harness our gifts and use them and some of us just let them waste away.

when i speak about stuff like this i speak thinking of all of us as a team.

i'm doing great but what does that mean to everyone who is not? and who am i to not try to fight and or help those who either cannot, don't know how, or are learning how to stand up for themselves?

i'm not malcom x i wish i could be. i wish i could die and give up my life and everything to advance us to a place we need to be. but im not strong enough for that at this time. so i do my little part and hopefully enough of us do our little parts until we make something big happen.

A collection of crumbs does NOT make a meal nor is it sitting at the table.

"being black is a crutch" shows that you are content with your crumbs.

There is an economic system underlying all of this shit.

A system that is structurally created to benefit one group.

Us benefitting is a consequence and definitely NOT by design.

Yet here in 2013, you are questioning my intention because I asked a question white people frequently cite, so that we can collectively see how the goalpost is being moved.

Yet, you have NOT answered the question.

Yet, you have NOT given your perspective.

You serve in the military advancing white imperialism...... even white people will tell you that, I don't have to be black to tell you that.

You are a pawn but a necessary pawn in this game.

But while you are playing the game please stop with this "massa we sick" mentality.

Many black soldiers before you have served and their country didn't give a shit about them and still doesn't to an extent.

So stop your bullshit.

It doesn't bother me at all...Is it to show everyone outside of black people are racist, and there's no way blacks can be the same? I will ask you the same question are you racist? Do you hate everything that's not black?

UR QUESTIONS: Is it to show everyone outside of black people are racist
MY ANSWER : No but to keep the memory alive and put the perspective on what why and hows alot of the sufferings of our people has its roots in RACISM:yes: and the better and more we understand it, the better we'll be able to rid ousrelves of the parasites that contribute to that detriment of our people..

UR QUESTION: nd there's no way blacks can be the same?
MY ANSWER" it might b possible for black people to b racist but we havent been racist yet and if we decide to reciprocate the Hate for the Hate that was rained on us. We cant call that REVERSE RACISM ,:smh: it will be called RECIPROCITY : dealing tit for tat..and so far black havent even done that..
..so..for us to be racist we would have to hate , subjugate, rape, murder, enslave, discriminate, and nearly exterminate ur people (whites) solely based upon the colors of their skin without any precedent to the hate(no history of them hatin us b4 we hate them)

UR QUESTION: are you racist? Do you hate everything that's not black?
MY ANSWER: NO IM NOT RACIST, HAVE NEVER BEEN,AND HAVE NO INTENTIONS OR THE WHEREWITHAL AND POWER TO BE.. I ONLY REACT TO IT

..PS.. PREJUDICE AND RACISM ARENT THE SAME THING

U CAN BE PREJUDICED WITHOUT BEING A RACIST ..
BUT U CANNOT BE RACIST WIHOUT BING PREJUDICED

Thank you Bro, you hit the nail on the head.

We come into this world, programmed by society as we age and at some time we had to start questioning the assumptions we hold and come to new truths.

Else how is humanity to progress?

Questioning our assumptions should be par for the course as adults so that we leave a stronger foundation for our youth.

Good Stuff!! I agree with everything above.

Just wondering, what is the "average black man life?"

What make you different that any other black man? Just curious.

I think looking at some of the way most members on BGOL describe their interactions with people of other races is different from my own experience. I left home at seventeen, and stayed with a white family for almost three years when I joined the military. This was back in the mid 80s. I didn't have to deal with big city issues growing up, so that why I say it wasn't average.
