Jerry Jones might be pushing Garrett to quit

I assume you can't read. The article is speculating Jon Gruden as the replacement.

The same Gruden that won a Super Bowl with Toney Dungy s team....

:smh:

The Dallas Cowboys are a fucking mess....and the moves that Jerry is making is more digging.....

Firing Rob Ryan...Da FOH....

naw Tex, Gruden is the shyt on Monday Night Football, i'd actually miss his game calling. y'all have to get somebody else.

Tight ends play is the LAST thing that needs to be evaluated.

Jerry's actions are becoming more bizaare with each passing season.

Right!

This nigga has fired a running back coach and now trying to fire a tight ends coach

Fuck outta here!

He won a superbowl with Dungy's team but played against a Raiders team he built.

I think Jerry is getting pissed that Garrett doesn't want to give up play calling.

I wouldn't be surprised either way right now. Jerry is on the warpath right about now.

The problem with Jerry is that he's one of those bosses that's real nice to you, chill out with you, overlooks your fuckups until one day he's had enough, flips out and starts beheading people left and right.

It's easy to get comfortable and forget that your job is on the line. If Jerry was always in ruthless mode it would be different.

That's hilarious! LOL! And I get it because I'm the exact same way.

Yeah but hes been making a lot of stupid play calls.Even in that season why did he stop running tha ball??
Barber had 8 carries for 124 yards in tha 1ST HALF when we lost to tha giants. He got like 2 carries in tha second half.Poor decision making if you ask me and it hasn't changed 1 bit.Why is your offense only able to start going in tha second half???Yeah we won some of those games but we can't ignore tha obvious.

Well I believe a lot of the Cowboys offensive problems are from execution. They simply don't execute as consistently as they need to. The running game was the worst i've ever seen it last season. Shit was better when we had Troy Hambrick and that's saying a lot. Demarco can play but man the O-lines run blocking was just piss poor and to ask your OC to compensate for that shit? I don't even know how Romo even threw for 4900 yards with that offensive line.

Garrett's offense is pass happy. I can't fault him for not wanting to run the ball with Felix Jones and Lance Dunbar as his backs. When Demarco was out there he was running the football unless we were down then of course you have to pass out of that deficit.

The same Gruden that won a Super Bowl with Toney Dungy s team....

Firing Rob Ryan was one of Jerry's best moves these past 4 years. If he continues to make moves like that i'm willing to think Jerry may see the light before he croaks.

Man Gruden is such a idiot on Monday Night Football that I can't even believe that nigga was even a head coach or has a Super Bowl ring. He says some of the most stupid shit.....

Don't kid yourself. Coach of the Cowboys is the highest profile job in football. Holmgren would take tis job tomorrow. Man genious woud too. Billick would oo. Gruden would too.

The vultures are circling waiting for Garrett to gtthe ax.

Mangini, Gruden, Holgrem.....them niggas are salivating to coach us. Especially Mangini the way he dick rides us. Even stubborn ass Bill Parcells was willing to come here.

And replace him with who?

Witten was all pro before Garrett showed up, watching Marty B leave & turn into a legit go to guy who doubled his career TD numbers in 1 season outta Dallas pissed Jerry off. Marty was HIS guy...

My main problem with Garrett is that he had recievers not know what they were doing and couldn't even line up without a lot of problems, not to mention the penalties.

If you can't do shit else, you should be able to have 11 guys knowing where to line up and what to do.

Got Damn,

Dallas fans why don't Jerry sit his ass down and hire a real GM to run the team? This owner meddling thing for how many years? can't be productive to a teams success.

That's Garrett's fault though? Its Garrett's fault Jason Witten getting false start penalties and he's a TIGHT END? Its his fault Dez doesn't know what routes to run?

I'm not gonna give the receivers a pass on that shit. Players have to take some form of accountability. Garrett has to take some as well. But i'm not blaming Garrett for niggas not knowing where to lineup.

Jerry believes as owner he should run his business. At the end of the day to us its football and to Jerry its a business. He ain't sitting down nowhere. He's gonna be laying 6 feet before he does that. On one hand I can respect that. I'd be the same way. If I own a business i'm gonna run my shit and fuck anyone who has something to say about that shit. But of course the fans are the ones who are suffering through 8-8 seasons. But its whatever. I've almost gotten numb to this shit. I'm gonna always root for the Boys but i can't invest as much energy in these niggas just to watch us lose the last game of the season and not get into the post season.

It's Garretts fault for running people out that don't know plays or can't line up.

If you run these plays in practice and people don't know what they are doing, either put people in that do, or call plays that your team runs well.

As the leader, it's on you.

So you gonna sit Miles, Dez and Witten? Because those were the main culprits. Committing dumbass penalties and not knowing where to be lined up at.

The same guys who had NO PROBLEM the year before but this year they all of a sudden lost their football IQ? I'm not trying to make excuses for Garrett but one thing i've noticed we do as fans is we overrate this teams talent and we let the players off the hook.

Like the O-line for instance. They suck. Yet, we blame Jerry even though he spent money on these niggas who were playing for teams last year? Jerry cuts the check and niggas don't play to their potential?

You think the offense needs to be simplified? Dez runs 3 routes. He dominated with them 3 routes too. I don't know if if the offense needs to be simplified. I just need them to block and not commit false start penalties.

Jeff Sullivan ‏@SullyBaldHead

Not entirely sure of his job title, but looks more and more like Tony Sparano could be joining the Cowboys staff in the next few days.

Offense was a lot better here when we had Todd Haley and Sparano. Not sure if I want to go back to Sparano but you can't deny how much success our team had when he was here.

At the same time if in doing something wrong I have no problem getting help

Serious help

Not getting opinions and then doing whatever the fuck I want to do

I'll always be a Cowboys fan but if this whole movement falls through I'll probably be at the point of no return

Completely numb and hopeless as long as Jerry is around

Fam, there are some coaches that don't play that shit. Jimmy Johnson could have those guys lining up and running plays or he would run the shit out of them in practice.

Now, tell me, what were the consequences of making those dumbass plays?

There weren't any. That's the problem.

If you knew getting false starts would have you running until you puked on Tuesday, you would concentrate a lot more. Hell, look at Doug Free. For two years he sucked and nothing changed. They sat his ass for Parnell and all of a sudden his ass was able to concentrate and do his job.

Why did it take two years to hold him accountable?

I don't know whats up with dtownsfinest but he seems like he is ok with any and everything the Cowboys are doing

Even through all of the bullshit

You say you aren't making excuses for the team, Jerry, Romo, Garrett, etc

But I've been seeing a lot of them since the season has ended?

If you are one of the most profitable owners in sports though are you really not succeeding though? Because like I said above, this is a business to Jerry. And you know Jerry wants to win. But he wants to do it on his terms. He wants to do it and get full credit for it to shove it to his doubters. I think it all goes back to Jimmy getting the credits for those rings he got.

I think Jerry does get opinions though. Whether they are "yes men" or not he gets some guys opinions. I believe so anyway. The question is are those the right guys? That's why I sort of laugh when I see people wanting Stephen. Man Stephen is right now sitting back letting Jerry do all this shit. And probably gets input from Stephen as well. I have no faith in Stephen either.

Didn't Garrett do that with benching Free like you said? Didn't he do that by bench Dez Bryant for Dwayne Harris? Witten stopped the false starts. I disagree about Garrett not holding players accountable.

And for the record, my problem with Garrett is him as OC. As a head coach I think he's doing what I want my head coach to do. He gets the best out of his players and when they are down they never give up and always fight back.

R u serious?....So Jerry is holding onto GM in order to make all of rmthe business decisions.....c mon man....

It is pure ego.....

I somewhat am to be honest. I feel this team was going nowhere with Rob Ryan. We just weren't. Rob Ryan was fired. Our running game was trash. Skip Peete was fired.

We sit here and talk about how our offensive line is trash and to quote Code Piranha...."you can't build a team without a offensive line....". But we want Garrett fired despite him not having one?

We trade 2 1st round picks and spend 50 million on Brandon Carr so Rob Ryan can play press and man. We SETTLED for Bernandeau and Livings meanwhile we spent money and draft picks on Rob Ryan so he can get the players he needs in here. And what does Rob Ryan do? He doesn't play any press. Doesn't blitz anyone. Just sits back and plays conservative and watches the Deadskins torch us TWICE.

I'm not satisfied and i'm not even happy about who we brought in but fact is, this team still has Romo, Ware and Witten in their primes and they don't have time to sit around and wait for Rob Ryan.

Them going back to the 4-3 allows for Ratliff to play like a traditional tackle and allows for Demarcus Ware to rush the passer ALL GAME as opposed to playing coverage.

Well that's what I was leading too. He's running the Cowboys like a business because of his ego. He wants the credit for the success. The sole credit. When the Giants won those championships who's name do you hear more than anyone else? Never the Mara's. Its always Jerry Reese. And that's what Jerry wants. Its plain as day. I get what he's doing. It ain't changing. Its just not. We can sit here all day and discuss this but it ain't happening. You know what's going to change it? Its going to take us going 1-15 or some shit like that. 8-8 ain't gonna do it. Because in Jerry's mind 8-8 means we are right there. A position here and a position there and we'll be okay.

So Finest, in your opinion, Garrett put a disciplined team out on the field?

If we're talking about the WHOLE season? No he didn't. The team came out there 1st half of games and committed stupid turnovers and seemed unfocused and unprepared at times. When they would be losing by 14 points then the team would no longer drop footballs, commit turnovers or commit penalties. There would be a sense of urgency. So its kind of hard to answer your question but i'll keep it simple. No he didn't.

But my disagreement here is that you seem to want to give the players a pass for not coming to games prepared or committing dumb penalties because Garrett wasn't harder on them? I've never heard of Tony Dungy having guys run sprints for committing penalties but they rarely did and his teams would never be confused with being not disciplined.

Dungy would not let you keep making mistakes. You just wouldn't play.

If it's up to the players to discipline themselves then why do you need a head coach? Why do you put the blame on the players for making mistakes but give the credit to Garrett for them playing hard?

I don't think its up to the players to discipline themselves I think its up to the players to take responsibility for when they fuck up. When its 3rd and 20 and Garrett calls a running play I don't blame Demarco for not being able to run for 20 yards and get the 1st down. I just believe in everyone should be held accountable including Garrett.

And what do you credit for why this team comes out of second halfs playing better football?

Alright let's say that's correct. Not sure if that's true or not because the offense looks the same to me but you could very well be right. Maybe its more simplified. What's the reason for the defense coming out of the half playing better?

I didn't really see them play that much better. They would get a stop or two, but the offense had to score touchdowns.

This next season is gonna be weird man.

Did yall see how on the CBS preshow how they were talking shit about Jerry?
They were saying how a coach needs to pick his own staff and Cowher was sitting there agreeing.

Jerry is a running joke in the league right now.
If we don't make the playoffs or go 8-8 again, Jerry will do something drastic.
It will be more than firing Garrett or throwing money at a bigtime coach.

I bet he steps down.

Especially if San Fran gets their 6th championship or NE or GB gets another chip.
It will make winning another trophy, imperative. He'll lose his shit if we don't improve and its all his fault.
