WHILE YALL debating about who was better two sport, deion or bo, ill show how PERCEPTION can taint how you view players. ill show how william andrews was a better runningback. had MORE POWER........he could CATCH the ball out the backfield. he had a similar per yard carry, with WAAYY more games than bo, and they both had careers cut short due to injuries.

bo jackson career stats:

38 games played 515 rushes 2782 yds 16 tds 5.4 yds per carry 73.2 yds per game 40 receptions 352 receiving yds 2 rec tds

william andrews career stats:

87 games played 1315 rushes 5986 yds 30tds 4.6 yds per carry 68.8 yds per game 277 receptions 2647 receiving yds 11 rec tds

As I said in your other thread about William Andrews....he belongs in the Hall of Very Good.

Are you a relative???

Yes,he had a better career than Bo....Bo was a meteor.

whats funny about you trolling me about the hall of fame thing is, IM NOT THE ONE WHO SUGGESTED IT.....i just made REFERENCE to it when talkinga about how good a runningback andrews is. here is a link to the dude that SUGGESTED that POINT about andrews:

Pointless debate. There's probably somebody better than Jordan, Tiger or Whoever but never got that shot. Their shine wasn't bright enough. Many unsigned artists are much better than signed artists. To be mentioned puts him with greats.

Since we talking about the "If only they didn't get hurt" bunch let me introduce the king of the list....

In what world is almost a yard a carry better similar?!?

That translates into using two downs to get a first down with Bo (5.4ypc) vs having to use three downs to get a first down with Andrews (4.6ypc), that fact alone ENDS comparison!

5 ypc is the magic dividing line that separates good from great, Jim Brown averaged 5.2ypc, Gale Sayers, whose career was cut way short, averaged 5ypc, even OJ Simpson, who finished with 4.7ypc had the first 2000 yard season, back when there were only 14 games to a season, had that to set him apart.

As stated earlier, William Andrews was very good, and is worthy of discussion, but to lower the bar for him means a host of other RBs would then have to be reconsidered as well!

Tiki Barber had a better average and a better career yet I do not consider him HOF material so where do you think that leave Mr. Andrews?

Yeah, but finding unsigned artists that are better than signed artists is just TOO easy.

You will be hard pressed to find someone better than MJ or Tiger.

Not saying it's impossible...

...but just far less likely.

Hell, I know SIGNED artists more talented than signed artists who never achieved the success their talent suggested it would.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Reality.COM my ni99a!!!

we need a category... "If Only They Could Have Behaved" - add Lawrence Phillips to the top of that list.

Bo Jackson was what I thought Jim Brown must have been like.
Bo was powerful and fast as hell. I saw both players and I'm here to tell you William Andrews is no Bo Jackson. :smh:

william andrews career stats:

its all in the math - good vs great

Dude - to AVERAGE 1.2yds/ touch more... and to AVERAGE 4.4 yds/ game more as a RB is huge! Its like comparing Phil Simms to Joe Montana... or a batting career of .280 vs.320... Maaaan, just stop it!

Truth.

Would you believe I had the Steve Bartkowski led Falcons as one of my teams in Tudor Electric Football, had the entire starting line-up written down in my playbook, them, the Roger Staubach led Dallas Cowboys, the Joe Ferguson led Buffalo Bills, and the Terry Bradshaw led Pittsburgh Steelers.

Very good career cut short but not on Bo's level.

The differences are Bo Jackson played in two sports on a professional level. I'm not knocking Andrews but his stats don't quite measure up. Plus Bo was feared because everytime he touched the ball scoring was a possibility.

william andrews was nice

but i saw bo play in person when the raiders were down here in la and

there is no comparison...a powerful home run hitter...you almost held your breath every time he got the ball
