Fuck this show!
I wasted too much time watching Season 1, only to see the writers write themselves out of a corner by killing the Black dude, who was TOTALLY obidient to the Osama Bin Laden dude, and lettin the CAC live. Then, that 'oh I remember' just as she is being sedated, was fucking wack.

1st episode was slow but i aint mad cause they had to setup the new status quo.
i wondered how they were gonna get Carrie back in the game and they handled that very well. Based on last season she an ability to connect with female informants

Carrie is a disaster but a brilliant one. Seems to me his wife is taking his new career path to her head. I also like the way his daughter spoke up and out the middle east and what she knows. I think he'll end up confiding in her as the season progresses

Dude...I was just talking about this very topic with my Girl the other day while watching 'Durham"

in my experience most teenage daughters go through a phase where they hate their mothers but are still close to their dads. I think the show depicts that pretty accurately but i dont think she one those typical sitcom kids with a comeback & a smart off.
During the arguement she tried to defer to her father keeping her mouth shut and was shocked when he came out as a muslim.
and yeah his daughter is the most honest relationship he has. Unlike his wife she didnt judge him for becoming muslim and got in trouble for inadverently defending him. She is the reason he didnt blow himself up & she was there for him to bury the Koran.
i dont blame his wife for some of her reactions, although she comes to be very oppuruntinistic but her daughter who is the 'bratty' kid handled it much more maturely than she did. She was the one acting like a brat

yep it was only a matter of time before that tape came into play but who knew by the 2nd episode. The assassanation attempt and tape reveal could've easily been season finale clifffhangers.

Saul too smart to make a move on Brodie without investigating the validity of the tape
my guess is that its that drunk marine that for some reason doesnt trust Brodie. My guess is he is spying on Brodie and catches Brodie praying to Allah in the woods. Brodie tries to stop/explain and he ends up dead.
