You can do it online.
Brazil tourist visa fees for citizens of United States
Takes 15 business days $180.00 + $49.95 = $229.95
If you love Asian womendozens of bars on Fields Ave and then more on Perimeter Rd. that have a lot of girls dancing inside already half naked or in bikinis...2 discos similar to Classicos (High Society + Skytrax) but a lot of non-working girls party there too...more variety...cheaper prices...I did my homework cuz I was supposed to go last summer...but the flight is expensive...nicer hotels too...the only place that's better in terms of offering you more choices in women is Pattaya (Thailand)...the expression I've heard ppl use to describe Angeles City is Sosua on steroids...I must go

I have used visahq 6 times for visas... 2 of the 6 times have been online. Either in person or online, you still need to give them your passport. Trying to get a visa yourself can take hours and hours of waiting in line at the embassy visa office. I just pay the extra money...
the brazilian consulates don't do visas on the spot. If you visit a brazilian consulate you have to leave the passport, pictures and travel date verification, and they will mail you back the passport.
Anyway that is the way that i did in their new york office a couple of years back, don't know if they have change the process.
thanks i`m mailing my shit off tomorrow....
jus wanna make sure before i give up my passport....
another thing i had a problem with was the travel date verification...
how do u do that when u dont know exactly when u are going....
if u reserve a flight they want u to pay for that shit...![]()

Brazil has a consulate in most major US cities. I got my visa in NY. It's on 6th Avenue near 47th I believe. I remember because Del Frisco's is right up the street. lol. looks like they changed a few things since I got mine. You used to be able to drop off your passport and get your visa the next day. According to the site it now takes 5 days, but I heard they're issuing 10 year tourist visas now. I have a 5 year.awight i sent for my visa today...
let y`all know how it goes....![]()

Sosua?? is bullshit compared to Angeles City.![]()
ok cool. I'm prob going later this year. have fun. It's different from Sosua. Sosua doesn't even hold a candle to Rio. Since the changes however the monger night life has suffered a bit. Brazil now requires more get up an go to have the same amount of fun. I think that;s one reason why a lot of guys prefer Sosua. Brazil just requires more thinking and work. I mean right from the start. Most dumb asses would fumble around for years w/ the visa process if they ever got up the initiative to get it done in the first place. Dudes will ask me 500 times how to get a visa. When I got mine I read the info online, went to the consulate, applied and had my shit the next day. I was on the ground in Rio dolo 7 days later. Pretty simple atleast I thought.yeah i`m in va...aint no dropping shit off....lol
the closet spot is in dc...so i jus paid the extra and mailed it...
hopefully everything goes smooth....
i`m trying to go early nex year....

any of eewwll's old brasil threads is chock full of info...
as far as brazil being off the chain, try getting opinions on ppl that have been there recently...it used to be the 'wild wild west' but they are really 'cleaning up' the place in anticipation of the world cup and olympics, so it ain't what it used to be. then again i've never been to dr so i can't really compare. but i will say that i have great memories of brazil...just was a little less 'oomph' every time i went. your mileage may vary
