good ass match between Punk and Cena

crappy ass ppv other than that but Orton/ Ziggler was good also

JBL and Cole on the announce table :suicide::suicide::suicide:

get well soon Lawler :please::please::please:

Good but not a great match and that ending was complete bullshit, the match was slow and boring at times but a quick way to get the crowd live is to kick out of finishers. Overall this was a decent show although the PTP should be tag champs, but that ending brings the show down a couple of points.

Why do the writers at WWE continue to think it's a great idea to fuck up a rare and epic match with some fuckery resulting in a draw?
:smh:

didnt know mark henry was a pallbearer at michael clarke duncan's funeral..

Just a way for them to avoid giving Cena a loss and a way to justify them fighting again at Hell in a Cell.

they need to quit it with these same old matches...Raw needs to elevate some more talent or something, I get tired of seeing Cena in every damn main event at a ppv

Thing is, he isn't supposed to be. He hasn't had a title shot in a min but Vince wants to shove him down your throat. I like Cena I feel sorry for him, he busts his ass for WWE and Vince won't make him turn. Dude can put on a good match but once you become a main eventer in the WWE you have to have a limited skill set to stay healthy

:yes:A clumsy, obvious way to do that. Like just having Punk and Cena ONE LAST TIME wouldn't be enough.
Punk's a heel now, let him beat Cena through some kind of cheating but let him beat Cena. That would at least validate Cena's ridiculous "You remain champ through any means necessary" promo from Monday. Right now, he's still a guy who's been champ most the year by clean pinfall victories.

It doesn't help that Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio are one violation away from getting fired, they had a crazy rash of injuries this year, and they keep jobbing out young guys like Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, and Drew McIntyre.

ROH is okay but when your top stars are leaving for greener pastures you have to do something. When Cornette was in charge of SMW it was good, the same can be said about OVW but his stint in ROH is missing something.

ROH has had to change from the all high spots company to a more balanced wrestling company and it's been a hard but necessary change.
Now with Steen as champ and guys like Rhino there, they have a strong but not very deep roster stocked full of young guys with potential and tremendous upside. Unfortunately for them, just as some of these guys really start to come into their own and get really good, they'll get picked up by WWE or TNA.

TAMMY SYTCH ARREST UPDATE
by Mike Johnson @ 12:27 AM on 9/17/2012

Shortly after being released from jail in Connecticut, Tammy Sytch took to her Facebook page and wrote, "Cheat on a good woman, You get choked out."
Sytch also wrote that she was contacted by the Dr. Phil Show to "tell her story", and followed that up with "decision, decisions."

Sytch would later remove the statements and ask everyone for privacy regarding the domestic issues last week with independent wrestler Damien Darling which led to her being arrested three times in three days.

Sytch also publicly went to Darling's Facebook page, writing that she still loves him.

Sytch was released into her sister's care as her sister stated to the court in CT that she would be heading right to a rehab facility in New Jersey.

WWE noted that they would continue to support Sytch, who was last under contract to them in 1998, despite her "continuing to make poor choices" following her most recent rehab stay

:smh::smh::smh::smh:

WWE's willingness to keep helping her is the one good thing to come out of Linda's Senate race. The very last thing they want right now is another high profile death of a former WWE talent.

I stopped watching the second Cena won last night. I had no idea they did that wack 2nd ending. I thought Cena winning with a Rock Bottom was bad enough, but leave it to WWE to go one step further.

John Cena Injures His Ankle at WWE Night of Champions
Date Added: September 17, 2012
Story By: Marc Middleton
- John Cena revealed that he rolled his ankle early in the match against CM Punk at last night's WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view. Cena commented and posted the following photo:

"Wild night tonight, nuthing to do now but move forward. This is my left ankle. It was rolled early in match... Thru all the bumps and bruises, a heartfelt thanks to all those supporting #riseabovecancer thank u."

:lol:What match did you watch? Ya Cena hate is strong, Cena ain't the one who did the Rock bottom. Punk did the Rock bottom. Cena kicked out of it. That match was good the finish could've been cleaned up a little, because Punk has beaten Cena clean numerous times. I do hate when a dude becomes a heel and can't beat Cena without a meteor hitting him.

My thing is if you want to continue the storyline, USE PAUL FUCKING HEYMAN!! He stood there the whole time and didn't do shit! Make Punk use knucks or something, have Heyman ring the bell. That'd keep Punk's heat.

That match was great, I can live with that finish, that shit was match of the year candidate next to HHH vs Taker/ Punk vs Bryan/ Punk vs Y2J.

So they'll continue to support a woman who tried killing her man, yet they fired AW for making an outdated joke that no one picked up on:smh:

Yep. Punk and Cena have great chemistry. I'm a little shocked to see them pull out the old "double pin" finish.
I wouldnt use Heyman as an old school, cheating heel manager though, at least not with Punk. That would take him from a guy who's won all of his matches for the last year clean to a guy that needs help.
So they'll continue to support a woman who tried killing her man, yet they fired AW for making an outdated joke that no one picked up on:smh:

Makes sense. It's purely a PR move. Like I said, if Tammy Sytch pops up dead of an overdose, the headlines will be "WWE Diva dies of overdose" and they'll be back on CNN defending the company.
If there was a rehab for AW's mouth, they would pay for him to go too.

I personally thought the match was a little slow. Cena and Punk have good chemistry, but these matches are starting to get repetitive. And we have at least one more match with these two coming up :smh:
I do agree that Heyman should have been used more. Why else have him there at all?

When you're going to work a long match, you have to start slow and build to the finish. I'm glad to see it because there are way too many matches that go from 0-100 for a 5 min match.

the fact that they won't turn Cena because they are worried about his merchandise taking a hit is some bullshit...you can't keep Cena a face forever, I know before he became popular he was a heel but not now...hell every wrestler have done heel at least once, Taker, HHH, HBK, Orton, Punk, Jericho, Sheamus , Austin, Hogan, Flair, Batista, Kane, Daniel Bryan, etc..... but not SuperCena, the only person that can take two GTS plus a Rock Bottom and still kick out

Name your M.O.T.Y candidates then

Taker v HHH and that's the only one so far imo, the atmosphere alone makes it the best match of the year.

Well if you only get 5min then you have no choice but to from 0-100 quickly. Personally i thought they rushed to the high spots because people weren't reacting as loud as they thought they would.

As they are now, with heels rarely made to look too strong for too long, turning Cena just isn't smart business. They just need to make him a better face.

Taker v HHH and that's the only one so far imo, the atmosphere alone makes it the best match of the year.

That was a good slow match but there were better matches through the year, one was on that same show (Punk/Jericho).

I don't. They're both veterans and don't really rush to spots to get reactions, thats really some indy stuff right there. Cena rolling his ankle probably made them change some stuff up in places.

Her and Scott Hall

They have spent a LOT of money on Scott Hall. I'm surprised he hasn't popped up on a celebrity rehab style show.

I thought it was really, really sad when Sean Waltman said the morning they called him to tell him about Randy Savage's death, he thought they were calling about Scott.

That was a good slow match but there were better matches through the year, one was on that same show (Punk/Jericho).

Im not talking about best wrestled match. Taker v HHH had the kind of emotion that no match this year has been able to match, Punk v Jericho was very good but not great.

I just felt that the match dragged and didn't get going until they started kicking out of each others finishers.

The build is where the emotion came from. They book damn near everyone else like shit but HHH and Taker they've gotten right all three times. But I never thought, even for a second, that HHH was ending the Streak so that negates a lot of the emotion for me.

CM PUNK DISCUSSES HIS NEW DVD, ISSUES WITH THE ROCK AND MORE
by Mike Johnson @ 2:32 PM on 9/17/2012

WWE champion CM Punk was interviewed by The UK Sun over the weekend, discussing a number of topics, including:
The Rock: "Anybody that doesn’t want to wrestle The Rock is pretty foolish. He’s not around a lot, so to get an opportunity to wrestle him, it’s a slim chance. I might have a shot at him at the Royal Rumble if I get past John Cena, and that right now is my goal. The Rumble is a while away, but hopefully I stay the champ until then."

The Rock’s return: "Rock being back, I guess, puts a lot of eyes on our product. In that respect it’s a good thing. I have a lot of pride in what I do, and I’m proud of the WWE, and their superstars and divas that are on the road 365 days a year. It’s a very cold business, it’s a very ‘what have you done for me lately?’ business. When somebody walks in and gets afforded opportunities that people are in line for and people are busting their ass for, you’re damn right I’m going to get pissed off about it. It’s only logical; it isn’t sour grapes. It isn’t whining. It’s a fact. I said it, I was vocal about it. I said it to his face. That’s just the kind of guy I am. Listen, if I disappear for 5-8 years and I come back, I only hope there is someone as angry and as hungry, with a chip on their shoulder, just like me, to tell me the same thing: ‘Hey, I can do everything you’re doing, and I’m doing it every day.’ I don’t hate The Rock, I don’t hate Dwayne. There honestly aren’t any hard feelings, there’s nothing anything personal. It has motivated me to work harder and to prove everybody wrong. That’s what I do."

His DVD: "I definitely had the last say in what matches went on there. When I saw the story and how it edited together, I wanted to pick matches that accentuate that story. I watched it with a couple of friends of mine. It’s pretty bizarre; it’s like I’m at my own funeral. It’s all these people I love and respect on there talking about me and seeing my entire career on a WWE DVD. It’s surreal."

JERRY LAWLER UPDATE

We'd like to take this moment to wish Lawler nothing but the best as he continues to recover

Let's hope King returns soon, because I'm not looking forward to another Cole/JBL team up. Not after last night.

He's not back for a long stretch because he's got his mountain climbing thing he's doing so even if he comes back and works tonight, it won't be for long.
Why they didn't just use JR last night and going forward, I don't know. Hell, use Matt Striker. He's learned his lesson about being too smart, he'll dumb it down. They have plenty of guys on payroll who are familiar with the current roster they don't have to bring in guys like JBL.

INJURY UPDATE ON JOHN CENA
by Mike Johnson @ 6:58 PM on 9/17/2012

As of an hour ago, John Cena was scheduled to be physically involved on Raw and was dressed and ready to go without any sign of a limp, despite rolling his ankle very early on in the Night of Champions PPV main event against CM Punk.

Frankly, unless he's going to be wrestling in the opening match tonight, he should stop coming out in his jean shorts and kneepads. Wear some fucking regular clothes. If they can steal anything from TNA let it be their top guys wear their own clothes (and not just Alberto).

JIM ROSS BACK ON TV TONIGHT
by Mike Johnson @ 6:24 PM on 9/17/2012

Jim Ross will be part of the broadcasting team for tonight's Raw, joining Michael Cole and JBL on the three hour broadcast.
Ross is not back full-time and is expected to just help fill the gap brought on by Jerry Lawler's health issues

Yay, JR! Boo JBL!

IMPACT REMAINING LIVE ON SPIKETV THROUGH END OF 2012
by Mike Johnson @ 5:56 PM on 9/17/2012

As we reported last week in the PWInsider.com Elite section, Spike TV and TNA have come to terms to keep Impact Wrestling as a live broadcast through the end of 2012. Certain episodes will be taped in advance if the broadcast falls on a holiday, but beyond that, they will be live

:bravo:
The show's been better but more importantly, the Impact Zone audience is much, much better.

I need them to fix it so that the set lights dont make the HD go to shit during the entrances so I can clearly watch Naomi's ass in hi def
