All I know is Pacquiao and Marquez have signed up to fight for the 4th time...and I don't want to see that shit !! I do believe that Floyd should be #1 until someone beats him....:dunno:

Should be Floyd but he fights so rarely. Pac-Man needs to retire. Andre Ward may be the new #1.

Floyd should be number 1. Where is Adrian Broner on the list?

Broner shouldn't be on the list yet. He's still too early into his career and hasn't fought anybody yet. Plus that shit he pulled coming in over weight for his last fight was a joke this. I like his potential a lot though. Floyd not being #1 is a damn joke though :smh:

Exactly

Should be Floyd but he fights so rarely. Pac-Man needs to retire. Andre Ward may be the new #1.
Right on all 3 points

Floyd should be number 1. Where is Adrian Broner on the list?
Broner needs to fight and beat asome top contenders before he he will be considered for this list.....He does have potential though

Never understood how Pac can be top 5 but can not decisively beat Marquez? Broner needs to fight better fighters first and not come in heavy lol kid got skills though. Nonito Donaire needs to fight Rigo IMO to stay on that list.

number 1 should be andre ward..dude cleaned out the 168 division and just beat down the man at 175....floyd shouldn't be on this list..fuck the zero...the inactivity is some bullshit

I agree with vacating #1. Floyd is the best fighter, but he hasn't fought in a grip and I feel like that #1 spot should also be based on activity, not saying anyone beats him, but he can't lose if he doesn't fight and no fighter should be rewarded for being undefeated when they aren't regularly fighting. There actually to me is a more compelling argument for Ward at #1 than Floyd, as he has been very active and has beaten a lot of top competition...

The rest of the field I totally agree with, especially Moreno at 10.

Broner hasn't beat ANYONE yet to deserve a rating even in the top 20 IMO... He has a lot more work to do before he is considered an elite fighter in my book... a great talent yes, but hasn't fought the level of competition to be mentioned in the same breath as the fighters in this list right now...

This list is pitiful and even racist. Cotto was virtually unbeatable when Mayweather dominated him with ease. What about Victor Ortiz? Ortiz was almost like a Mike Tyson and Mayweather just easily beat the shit out of him. The only reason they put Ward so close now is because he's light skinned. The Ring has been on some racist shit ever since Oscar de la Hoya took it over and they refuse to put any dark skinned brothers as #1 on that bullshit list. Think about it. When was the last time you seen a dark skinned brother #1 on that list? Shiiit. Probably fuckin Jack Johnson or somebody like that wayyy back in the day.

Your statement about Ward made an almost ridiculous post extremely idiotic... Go back to Lurking Dude... frankly you really don't have shit to add to any intelligent discussion obviously...
:hmm:

Who has he beat? He never been tested. He never beat a champion for the belt. If im not mistaken every belt he has came from a fight for a vacant title. he needs to move to 135 or 147, he has had problems making weight a few times. He keep talking shit to Robert "Ghost" Guerrero (147 champ) but the problem dont want that problem :lol:

:smh: I don't understand how he is tied with Floyd for number 2. Pac unofficially loss to Marquez and officially loss to Bradley. How the fuck does that happen?

Also, with as much hate on this board that Manny garners, no way in hell he should have been dropped completely from the top 10 after that bullshit loss to Bradley... :smh: I know he's tied for 2, but there have been arguments he should be dropped completely...

:smh: I don't understand how he is tied with Floyd for number 2. Pac unofficially loss to Marquez and officially loss to Bradley. How the fuck does that happen?

So, tell me how his 'unofficial' loss to Marquez should count against him  As well as validating his bullshit loss to Bradley... I respect your opinion but honestly, that some real hypocritical shit you just typed my Dude...
:hmm:

Whatever. When's the last time you seen a dark skinned brother as #1 pound for pound in boxing?

Thank you. I rest my case. Next victim.

I'm going against my original statement, but your stupidity keeps drawing me in... So, Floyd is a fucking red bone?!?!? He has been universally recognized as #1 pound for pound for years?!?!?!

Leave the thread Dude, you are basically trying to make an argument that makes no damn sense what so ever... Simpleton ass Nicca!!!

:smh: I don't understand how he is tied with Floyd for number 2. Pac unofficially loss to Marquez and officially loss to Bradley. How the fuck does that happen?

Seriously, I believe Floyd's inactivity was equally weighed against Manny's bullshit loss to Bradley, and both were weighted equally, thus the tie... That's my take anyway...

:hmm:

One of them should count at least is what I'm saying. Marquez was robbed and then Pac was robbed, but if you don't want to count what happen to Marquez against Pac then by that same logic you have to count the Bradley loss and vice versa. There isn't a logical way to say he is equal to Floyd based on however you look at those fights. Ward should be #1 till Floyd fights again. Pac could get the #10 spot.

He fought... then went to jail and that equal to a loss? It would be one thing if he took a year long vacation and you decided to put a fighter getting it in like Ward above or equal to Floyd, but a motherfucker with a loss whether you count it towards Marquez or Bradley shouldn't be in the top 5 when you got other people winning.

That said, Floyd should be #1. Cant say its his skin tone tho. Probably his style, mouth, time off etc; powers that be clearly not on his side.

Floyd fought in May!!!!!!!!!!! Beat Cotto ass went to jail, got out a few weeks ago. Manny lost his last fight and they're tied???? Bullshit!!!!!!

One thing I did notice too, is these rating have political agendas... I think keeping Manny and Floyd close is also an attempt to keep them both relevant to each other, and to help assist in making a fight between the two because even with Manny's loss and Floyds jail term, they still represent the biggest money fight out there. It's going to be hard for Ward to ascend to #1 because he doesn't have as big of a public profile, that's why as good as he is, he still fights on regular cable.

It also helps explain why they keep the HW's so far down, even though they are dominant in their divisions, they don't garner much in the way of american dollars, so they rank them, but not in a 'relevant' ranking... Bradley undefeated and #8? It's really not too smart to take these rankings as based on skill or even at times body of work, record because based on overall performances over the past 2 years, you'd have to rank Ward-1, Floyd-2, and possibly the HW's in the top 5... will never happen though, too many dollars at stake...

I like it. I think Ward should be number #1. He has proven it in the ring more than anyone else in the top 4. Manny is declining and pbf is still fighting people that don't pose much a challenge, sergio still needs that next big win. Tonight we get to see where sergio fits in this list.

Undefeated Andre Ward behind PacMan?

It depends how you look at it. You can look at it like a casual fan and find bias. Or you can view it as a boxing fan and see the recent controversial loss to a top 10 pound for pound fighter play a role in it. I like Ward. Dawsonwas a challenge but not a top 10 fighter. Ward has it all. He needs help and time to be consider number 1. Even though I think he is there now.

Everything you said is on point accept the comment about pbf me personally would not be mad if they named Ward #1 the man has not lost since he was 12 years old (and said he still thinks he won that fight lol) and as far as Sergio tonight we will see I'm up in the air on that one.

And as for Floyd it's not that the fighters he's facing aren't posing a challenge he is just so domonating he makes A & A+ fighters look average against Marquez he domonated an A+ fighter one who arguably beat Manny Pacquiao. Against Mosley who use to be an A+ but at the time was still a solid A fighter he domonated 11 out of 12 rounds, Victor Ortiz another A fighter :smh: no comments on what happened there and in his last fight against another A+ fighter in Cotto he had to dig deep to eventually win a convincing unanimous decision.

The fighters he's faced would have been easily favorite over most other fights.

Shane hasn't been a A level fighter for years. Victor was never ever an A level fighter. Cotto, was finally exposed as a B level fighter. He never has beaten a top ten fighter. I truly believe PBF carried that fight. Lol, I'm sure he will admit to it one day. Ward had just been on an incredible streak. The only thing lacking is a victory over a top 10 fighter. I said him against Sergio made sense to me. But maybe after Chavez Jr. wins tonight. Chavez and Ward can make history.

this list is downright laughable

and why are bgol niggas acting like Floyd hasnt fought in years?

he just fought in May against a quality opponent
