And the First Lady's speech eclipsed their Presidential candidate's speech. But we aren't going to talk about that I guess.

Is that what they're saying???

Rain was in the forecast so they moved it.
These people will lie about anything.:smh:

They had to say that.

Mitt Romney’s lunchtime speech was delivered from the 30-yard line before 1,200 suited-up business leaders in folding chairs, in a stadium that usually holds 65,000.

Mitt Romney in Michigan: At Detroit’s Ford Field, empty seats steal thunder

<ARTICLE sizcache02867260191796212="3" sizset="0">
DETROIT — Friday was supposed to be the moment for Mitt Romney’s triumphant return to his birthplace, when he would use the cavernous Ford Field to deliver a policy address that established him as the lone Republican capable of both fixing the economy and beating President Obama.

But the event served up fresh evidence for Romney critics who say he can’t rise to the occasion and rally important elements of the GOP around his candidacy.

I was actually telling my mother about this yesterday when the news broke about them moving the venue. That looked horrible on tv when I saw it.
The Democrats had over 60k people ready to fill up that football stadium. Anything else is just another lie.

...and claimed to have 15k on standby.

I'm surprised that President Obama didn't demand to be outside for that speech. With this situation, and the "God and Israel" debacle, this looks really bad for the democrats PR wise.

Now, everyone needs to remember that the Romney's Ford Stadium situation happened when he was just a primary candidate. I wouldn't put too much stock into that if I were y'all.

Michigan is his home state and Detroit is his home city. That's all he could draw?

Think, it ain't illegal yet!

I'm sure YOU wouldn't!

Obama supporters and all the nationally known Dems, Charlotte and the surrounding areas would've had Panther Stadium rocking thursday night especially with that lady Gov from Michigan :yes:

:hmm::rolleyes::smh:

They moved it because of the high possibility of rain. It had been raining here, off and on, all week and was forecasted to rain that evening.
The God and Israel thing was a debacle, you got that right. Democrats need to stop responding to conservative media but this isn't even a serious topic anywhere except for those looking to make something out of nothing.

Just so you know, Senator Obama drew 25k to a Charlotte rally in 2008 so being a primary candidate isn't an excuse.
