Breaking Bad *series finale 9/29/2013

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

Walter White one man army....holding off whole organizations of crimnals without one gat
Got a zillion dollars in a STORAGE ROOM ain't nobody even think about following this dude

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

It is.. Minus the bulk of THIS Season..

Arguable. Nobody said it best.... we're at a mid-season break now.... there's still quite a bit of story left to be told.

Hey brah pas some of that crack cocaine you been snorting

What's on TV right now that's better or even in the same ballpark in terms of character development, gripping storytelling and great dialogue? Game of Thrones almost doesn't count since it's an adaptation from an epic book series (although Weiss and Benioff have done an amazing job with it).

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

Without reading any replies, let me say that I REFUSE to believe someone as meticulous as Walter White
would leave a book with the initials of the mutha fukka he had murdered just sitting around in his toilet so anybody could see it
I let alot of shit slide, but I call bullshit on that one

2 ways it happens:

walt is so fucking big on himself he just doesnt give a fuck. He doesnt mind splashy money (with the cars & money), he wants cat to know his name and respect. Coulda been a function of his overblown ego which has been an issue the last few seasons.

or

It could've been a legit oversight. Walt in a million years wouldnt think someone could make that connection other than Hank. Shit (no pun intended) was a perfect storm. He has so much shit going on that with the moving, deaths threats, beef with Skylar, war with Gus, kid problems and empire building he legitmately forgot about it and the message.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

This man destroyed the entire laundry to cover up any evidence...from the very start he has been METICULOUS in covering his tracks
That book probably has Gale's fingerprints all over it...and it's just sitting there for ANYBODY (even his son) who takes a shit to pick up??

to echo Cran....meh

there is no great dialogue or gripping storytelling, right now Suits and Boss are a better series than breaking bad

I actually like Suits and enjoy it quite a bit but to say it's better than Breaking Bad?!

That's downright delusional bruh. There's no accounting for taste though.

I've been meaning to watch Boss.... started and stopped a few episodes in. Will need to add it to my rotation soon.

Criminals make mistakes. Thats how they eventually get caught. Prisons are built for and filled with criminals who have made minor mistakes (in the scheme of things) resulting in them being convicted.

there is no great dialogue or gripping storytelling, right now Suits and Boss are a better series than breaking bad
So you have a problem with the writing and believability of BB but you think Suits- a show where partners in BigLaw allow for the illegal practice of law by a pseudo associate who never went to college let alone law school- is a great show?

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

a'ight..so it appears..that the Walt Whitman book of poetry may not have been given to Walt by Gale Boetticher..his former lab assistant...but by Gretchen Schwartz..his former college sweetheart...whose maiden name is "Black"...and went on along with her husband/Walt's college buddy.. Elliot Schwartz..to start Gray Matter...the billion dollar company...

that better explains what the book was doin' in his home...

This was me initial thought. The word "other" led me to believe it was from her. I didnt think Gale until reading the fella's here.

Wow...ok...that would be a cool explanation  did you remember that? I wonder if Walt will get the chance to explain that to Hank or if Hank will just run on the assumption of it being Gale and not even question Walt? Damn gotta wait damn near an entire year

nah...i was readin' about it on another message board...

then i looked up the wiki page for breaking bad...

actually this could work either way...either hank runs with his theory that Walt is Heisenberg...or he asks walt about the book and the inscription in passing..and walt tells him about..and he drops it...

It's the small details that slip through the cracks.

The book is in his house, the initials aren't enough. It's a small oversight but not sloppy writing.

You guys are so critical for what reason? Does it make you feel like you're outsmarting the show?

SHIT HAPPENS. In real life and in tv. People change and fuck up (mike) the most meticulous person could leave something like an inconpicious book in a location he wouldn't think someone would ever look.

People keep complaining before they let the series play out. The show never introduces something without going back to it.

Ya it could go either way  the more serious issue tho is gonna be Walt's business partners...they not gonna take too kindly to his retirement

Bcuz some ppl are critical! Why does that bother you? Does it make you feel dumb? No I doubt that...everyone's entitled to their opinion...move on

I just saw mike in beverly hills cop the first one

Didnt realized he was in that till today

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

I thought Hank was broken when all the witnesses were killed

I wonder if he's going to asking Skylar questions, she won't be able to hold shit in.

Walt has way too many people knowing about him now. He's meeting and getting involved too much. That's how he's gone undetected for so long.

Did anyone talk about his cancer being back? Is he like fuck it now?

That money

Anyone think Jesse is going to go back to using? Wasn't he off everything? Will the $5 mil save him or push him over the edge?

I agree, but now the thought is planted and it never has been before.

did anybody else have a problem with walt agreeing to ship product to the czech republic?

presumably he's using the same precursor chemicals that were already promised (in finished product) to another individual (who is doing walt's domestic distribution and already paid a grip up front).

walt's unilateral decision to work with lydia seems like it would be a huge breach of trust, especially since there was no discussion of cutting in the distributor for a share of the profits.

He went from killing her, to wanting even more money and partnering with her.

It was obvious as hell he was giving him the $$$...this season is far too predictable

Damn sure was. It was anti climactic other than Jesse not sure what Mr White had planned since they didn't leave on good terms.

Did jessie know about mike being dead?

At the end when they was talking walt said to jessie he had to do it ,"

Im not sure

T-Dog did you fall asleep :smh:

there is no great dialogue or gripping storytelling, right now Suits and Boss are a better series than breaking bad

Boss is overrated, and I find it average with Kelsey Grammar providing good acting to cover for it.

and I like Suits, it's probably the best at this moment

But saying it's better than Breaking Bad is like saying Patrick Willis is better than Ray Lewis. You're forgetting about the previous four seasons. This season doesn't negate that.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

No, it's just shit that could play out as the season goes on. It makes me feel dumb to read these replies, yes.

You didn't see all the Drug paraphernalia he had on the table?
Even walt gave him a smirk look when he saw that

Dale i think you the one falling a sleep :smh:

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

That excuse will work

What was that he moved off the table...looked too big to be a a crack pipe so I'm guessing it was some sort of homemade bong?

The excuse would be a damn good one but only if Hank questions Walt directly...knowing him he'll snoop around and find out shit about Walt which would be fucked up cuz it'd be on the strength of the coincidence of the chic having the same initials as Gale...that flashback convo was such a pivotal one tho I'm surprised it took so long for that to pop back into his head...you don't just "playfully" accuse your brother-in-law of being a big meth cook then just tuck that shit away

He was using weed

There's a difference in using weed and meth in case you didn't know T-Dog :smh:

When you're a former addict they don't want you to use anything, liquor, weed...because it can make you weak for other things and take you out of your normal frame of mind.

Yeah, it was a bong

Yeah, and Hank is like a Pitbull. Once the thought is there, I doubt it will get out of his head.

That's why if he goes talking to Skylar :smh:

or ask him about gambling and a case he's on casually to see Walt's response.

or check in to the financials of them and the car wash.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

Why are you saying the cancer is back? I saw him go in for a scan (routine post cancer checkup)did i miss something else?

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

sloppy is being generous.

mike ehrmantrout was able to walk forward to the swings and leave the park on foot with his grand daughter?

that's horrible. :smh:

so 2 units (with 2 men sitting on his vehicle) didn't have his photograph or a description of the target?

but they knew what park he was at, that he was with his grand daughter, and they knew his vehicle.

bah.

He went the other direction and left his granddaughter behind.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

To continue on T-Dog

Jesse is finished with the show

He's not cooking. He has his money. He thinks Mike's gone. He doesn't trust Mr White.

Something and some storyline has to keep him on the show.

Andrea :dunno:

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

Walt was planning to poison her after she gave him the names

Lucky bitch

Walt is an evil cac

Watched it with pops. Soon as we saw that scene I said - "Did he have some RYSIN for her too?"

Pops replied - "Nah ... I think that's a small microphone or recording device."

Appeared to be that later on ... given where he stored that other joint in his living room previously, as well as whatever he was storing in the bedroom in last night's episode. Appeared to be recording the conversation with Lydia ... and recording future interactions with Skylar moving forward (bedroom). He probably recorded that serious talk he had with Jesse in episode 6 or so ... whatever it was ... prior to Skylar coming home and the 3 of them having that awkward dinner.

The big dent in the towel dispenser

and him washing his face to gather himself.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

It personally think that Walt Jr was actually high on meth during that scene. I have a feeling that he's addicted to meth, but it's hard for them to tell because of his disability. Plus, he's not getting the attention of his parents.

I thought the same thing. Something about him seemed more off than usual.

I think many of us are still hoping he discovers that Walt was behind the season 4 poisoning of Brock. That way they can square off again as they did with their tense, dramatic scenes last year. The fight ... Jesse putting the gun to Walt's head, and Walt telling him to go ahead and pull the trigger if he was man enough, etc.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

No he didn't the creators of the show said that he left with his grand daughter.

Cool, Complex. Thanks for the clarification. I need to get caught up with the Breaking Bad Insider Podcast. I'm behind a few episodes.

Been listening to a shitload of the:

- BREAKING GOOD
- THE ONES WHO KNOCK

podcasts. Those joints are quality too. Got subscriptions for them.

And then he's reminiscing with Jesse about the past and acting like nothing ever happen.

Remember, Jesse is his only friend.

Who would he go too first if he gets bad news :dunno:

Eisenberg would have just dropped off the money, laid a guilt trip on him and bounced.
