Breaking Bad *series finale 9/29/2013

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

did anybody else have a problem with walt agreeing to ship product to the czech republic?

presumably he's using the same precursor chemicals that were already promised (in finished product) to another individual (who is doing walt's domestic distribution and already paid a grip up front).

walt's unilateral decision to work with lydia seems like it would be a huge breach of trust, especially since there was no discussion of cutting in the distributor for a share of the profits.

He agreed to exclusivity in their territory.. Not worldwide..

Him selling in the Czech Republic does not effect their business whatsoever..

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

Him selling in the Czech Republic does not effect their business whatsoever..

think.

if walt is using the precursor to manufacture product distributed in the czech republic, it necessarily depletes the supply of precursor used to manufacture product for domestic distribution.

that necessarily negatively impacts the end cut of the domestic distributor, as there is less product to be sold and less money to be made (domestically).

walt did an end-around on his domestic distributor by partnering with lydia. that wouldn't sit well with me.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

You're thinking too hard.. I'm sure at this point he can afford a barrel or two of more Methylamine.. Lydia has a warehouse full of it.. The eyes weren't on Madrigal like they were when they pulled the heist, this based on the fact that Lydia is comfortable enough to move weight for Walt in the first place..

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

From a cinematic standpoint I loved the flow of the ep...still signs of lazy writing tho...Walter all of a sudden having a change of heart after being in the "empire" business/state of mind for most of this season and after all the writing on the wall to have Hank FINALLY put the pieces together while taking a dump and reading that lil inscription...w/e anyway Walter is about to find out why you just can't leave the game...and to just stay where he's always been @ and out in the open :smh: that Lydia chic turned me on this ep :dunno: smart ass chic...he was about to kill her too but she made herself useful...last 8 eps should be entertaining...hopefully the writing won't be as lazy but we're sure to get some action tho

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

How many here thought walt left jessie a bomb in the bag

It was obvious as hell he was giving him the $$$...this season is far too predictable

Don't even bother  I've always watched the show moreso for the action than the writing although I did fully enjoy season 4

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

yeah, its time to quit. Just work at the car wash.

wtf man i would sell my recipe n leave the game behind ill keep the car wash slowly start opening up a chain of them setting up Walt jr n the baby with a business for life

Ill break jessie off let that man go about his life n the lil weirdo baby killer

Just be done with it walt

Man y'all really think this nigga can just stop and work @ the car wash??? Y'all buggin...dude need to get the fuck outta dodge...he'll have the local dudes he fuckin w/ plus Lydia/Czechs gunning for his ass...Lydia is not to be slept on...she shoulda been deaded after the hit she put on Mike

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

You can really tell that they're trying to condense the story, and rush it along..

This show could have EASILY went on for another 2 seasons.. Sad to see such a great show get this treatment.

Agreed. Thus some of the sloppy writing imo.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

They tried to flip it on viewers by playing the "tense in danger" music but yeah it was obvious he was going to give him his money him not doing it earlier was all bases on emotions and proving a point. Walt still cares for Jesse in his own twisted way and wouldn't kill him unless he had too.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

He was talking about had to kill the 9guys in jail (and the lawyer). Jesse is under the impression that Mike got away.

Idk...I can go either way on that...but I think he knew tho just like Lydia was able to surmise that for those 9 men to fall Mike HAD to be out the way...it also goes w/ him having the gun on him after seeing that it was Walt @ the door and suspecting there was a "bomb" in the bag

Ya after Skylar showed him the $$$ and they showed him @ Jesse door and he started reminiscing I figured he'd square up w/ the $$$

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

What a great montage.

From when Walt was on the couch drinking w/ Hank (not giving a fuck about his story) to the segue to him on the couch about to cook down to the prison killings that shit was beautiful from a director's standpoint

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

So did they ever say why the Mike's lawyer was in jail?.. Possession of a bag of money is illegal?..

more disappointing writing.

it's an administrative forfeiture.

regarding your question of legality, google "in rem".

you forget Jessie has a good heart to a fault.
Walt was very ambigous in his response sayiing Mike is done and Jess assumed the best.

he the only one of the crew didnt had an issue with kiling
he the only one that really gave a damn about the dead kid
at points during the show he as been manipulated by Walt, Mike & Gus.

Jessie when its all said and done got a good heart and easily manipulated. He wants to see to the best in the ppl he works with...

but he aint no fool of course he had the burner when Heinsberg comes a knocking.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

Will return next summer? Talk about trying to milk the series for as long as they can

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

So you mean to tell me the climax of season 5 is a scene from season 4

Hank flashing back was some Usual Suspects shit, and Jr. was walking without crutches. Not what I had in mind but I called it!

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

when hank finishes taking that sh!t tho

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

i'm curious where hank goes following his revealation.
if he goes at Walt he indirectly incriminates himself.

walt greatly benefited from Hank being his brother-in-law. I'm sure alot of ppl will assume Hank was helping out or maybe Walt threats to implicate him.

on top of that does Hank want to destroy his extended family. Marie and Hank dont have kids. Walt Jr... I mean Flynn and the baby are the closet they have to kids. Is gonna throw their dad under the bus?

either way hank will have to tread carefully.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

This is a half season. I think people are forgetting that and making assumptions as if these 8 episodes are standalone.

Let's let the entire season play out first.

For people bitching about the lawyer, I think it's supposed to show that he's just some cheap lawyer who's willing to do what mike wants because he can't get real money any way else, it also shows that while Saul is a "bus bench" lawyer he does know his business and is actually a very good lawyer.

With Mike's lawyer rolling, it's simply a man who didn't think he's a criminal, just doing a job, never thinking he's gonna get caught. 14 hours being grilled and shown all the dirt they have shook him up.

Mike's mistakes all hark back to the half measures episode. This season has been full of Mike making bad calls - so while he's a great soldier, he's clearly not a leader. If Gus sent him to kill Lydia, she'd be dead. He's better at taking orders than making the call himself.

Have you been watching the show? Do you really think Walt gives a shit? Consider the way he approached the distributor. You don't think he'll tell the distributor that "things have changed?"

Or that this is a half season, and we could be seeing the potential fallout from him doing this despite having a deal with someone else.

Could those be the guys the m60 is for? They definitely seem like the kind of guys to be very offended, enough to kill his wife and kids.

I suggest we watch how this plays out instead of breaking down everything without giving the show time to answer these questions itself.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

The writing on this show is actually brilliant. Probably the best written TV show since The Wire imo.

Was walt jr. pushing his little sister around in the toy car foreshadowing something? A few of you on here have said that maybe walt jr. dies, and it's in a car accident. Maybe he has his sister in the car with him. :dunno:

It personally think that Walt Jr was actually high on meth during that scene. I have a feeling that he's addicted to meth, but it's hard for them to tell because of his disability. Plus, he's not getting the attention of his parents.

Its true mike flip flopped his way to getting himself killed.

His agreement was a national territorial one for exclusive rights to his service. His deal with Lydia has zero to do with them. Also, i dont think precursor is a issue. Lydia has access to that as well.

Exactly. Jesse and Mike built a bond and somewhat of a professional trust. I think Jesse would have had more dialogue had he known Walt killed Mike. He is under the impression he got away. They both agreed Walt was out of control. Jesse having suspicion about him showing up unannounced is well within reason.

Re: The Official " Breaking Bad Season 5 " thread

Without reading any replies, let me say that I REFUSE to believe someone as meticulous as Walter White
would leave a book with the initials of the mutha fukka he had murdered just sitting around in his toilet so anybody could see it
I let alot of shit slide, but I call bullshit on that one
