Just make sure you bring some Midal and some padded tampoons for Jay Gutless...
You wouldn't want him to hurt his PUSSY again in the playoffs...
Besides, my lady told me that menstrual cramps can be a bitch...
So I can only imagine what they must feel like in the huddle...:lol::lol:

And always remember... when you talk about ELI... you're talking about a 2X SUPER BOWL MVP... and... A FIRST BALLOT HALL OF FAMER...

The Los Angeles Clippers acquired guard Willie Green from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for the draft rights to Sofoklis Schortsanitis, the team announced Monday

Reinsdorf doesn't give a fuck about the Bulls. They are his cash cow but the White Sox are his love. After all the man once said that he'd trade in his 6 titles with the Bulls for 1 title for the White Sox and he consistently acquires expensive players for the Sox. The fact that the Bulls are 1 of the 7 teams never to pay the luxury tax says something. They're the only team on that list to win a regular basis and they're the 3rd most valuable team in the NBA worth 600 million dollars but the luxury tax is a concern. I don't even want to see them go way over but they couldn't buy a 2nd round pick and acquire another young player that could help, they couldn't pick up Watson's option or try to sign another vet like Carl Landry who could help the team without them breaking the bank?

Reinsdorf doesn't give a fuck about the Bulls.....Wonder how many former Bulls would c/s this.

His baby is the White Soxs. He's baseball first, basketball second. been that way for a while.
But when all else fails he'll invest money into the Bulls. You cant be in control of a basketball team thats in a big market and also is in one of the top 5 cities in the country and not be.

Jay Gutless

Gutless? Because of that playoff game? Prior to his injury he went out there and stil balled despite playing behind a shit OL that allowed the opposing D'Lines to put him on his ass multiple times. "Different" at times...but far from gutless.

He's opened up a lot since he's been here. In Denver you could barely get him to say more than 5 words at a time. Despite his lack of footwork and questionable decision making. IMHO...talent wise Cutler is in the top 7 for QB's in the NFL.

As for the Bulls latest soon to be signing...
Nate Robinson is a nice pick up.

Out of all our future new players...im content with the signings of Belinelli, Robinson and even Hinrich. Those are some nice players to have coming off your bench. Im stil looking forward to future signings for our starting 5.

That's what I'm thinking.

People call Jerry cheap because he doesn't want to dip into that luxury tax.

But ain't nobody asking him to spend a ridiculous amount into the tax like Dallas and New York. We just needed to re-sign the crew, add another star and use our exception to get a vet.

The 06' Heat is the only team in the last 10 years to win a championship without going into the tax.

Even the Spurs had to dip into the tax for a couple hundred thousand.

Yeah the fact that the Bulls have NEVER went into the tax tells you something and is a concern if you are a fan

Dude lucky he had Jordan or he wouldn't have any rings

In the NBA you got to spend to win

Like ScottyPiffen said the teams who are winning titles are over the cap and paying the luxury tax

Co-sign. We'll be good once we get Deng and Boozer contracts off the books and then build around Rose, Noah and Gibson. Then when we get Nikola in two years or whatever, shit will be gravy.

True...
But when youre still selling out home games even with a shit team (after the Jordan era)....then what motivates you to do so? He exploited a situation just like the previous owners of the Cubs and even the McCaskey's.

Bears, Bulls & Cubs.....3 of the most profitable teams in sports...but got a history of having shit owners.

But I honestly think he'll dip into that tax in the next 2 years. That is unless they make some sort of trades whereas it all balances out.

Not only is he GUTLESS... He's a DISGRACE TO THE MONSTERS OF THE MIDWAY... :smh:
Now, I understand that the GUMMYBEARS are your team, BUT... He's a stone cold BITCH... and he's the first QB to ever to leave a playoff game with a FAKE knee injury and a SPRAINED PUSSY... :smh:
As far as Nate, Belinelli and Hinrich goes... :dunno:
I mean, I like Nate and Kirk... and Belinelli is ok....BUT overall... This upcoming season is a wash... It's all about POOH COMING BACK... and how he comes back... It's all about him... BUT... THe Bulls have a GREAT coach... and some really good players... So, yall will be fine.

Yeah before Derrick Rose reaching MVP status, I could understand not spending. Even this season, I guess I could understand not spending a gang of cash.

But when these other Big 3-4 teams are forced to break their shit up, in about 2 years, and contracts start expiring, I could see Jerry finally breaking into that tax.

lol..yeah whateva.

I remember when the Giants D Line sacked Cutler about 10 times in one game....did he fake an injury and leave the game? nope. he was slow getting up off that turf...but he still went out there and played. He's far from being soft or a fake.

As for the Bulls.....next season we wont be winning a title....but we'll stil make the playoffs. Prediction...gonna win no less than 50 games and Tibbs wil win coty ....again.

vandam u do know the bulls and bears will finish with a better record than NYC will right?

u stil didn't answer my question.

how many other teams other than the bulls have FOUR 8 digit contracts on the payroll?

i'll wait

Oh no!!! In that game he legitimately GOT ROCKED... BUT... I'll tell you this... The CURRENT SUPER BOWL MVP would have had to be CARTED OUT OF A PLAYOFF GAME OF THAT MAGNITUDE... But... That was then... This is now... We'll see what Jay Gutless is all about soon enough.

Finishing with a better record and having a PARADE DOWN THE CANYON OF CHAMPIONS are two different things...
Now, you have EVERY RIGHT to talk about the Bulls... They've been better than the Knicks for a minute... BUT... As long as POOH ain't playing... We have a shot against them... and GOD FORBID WE SEE THEM IN THE PLAYOFFS...:itsawrap:

And the GummyBears... :hmm:... REALLY!!!!... :hmm:...:lol::lol::lol:
Brandon Marshall... Matt Forte and Julius Peppers DO NOT PLAY ON THE O-LINE!!!
The O-LINE IS TRASH... and if you can't dominate the line of scrimmage... YOU AIN'T WINNING SHIT!!!!... Don't Believe me... Look at the last Super Bowl Champions... Going ALL THE WAY Back to the 60s and 70s... Guess what??? It's NO DIFFERENT TODAY THAN IT WAS BACK THEN... Every Super Bowl Champion dominated the line of scrimmage either defensively or offensively... and The GummyBears have a dominant DE but their D-Line isn't dominant and their O-Line is... :bullshit:

PRAY THE GUMMYBEARS DO NOT SEE THE GIANTS... ESPECIALLY IN THE PLAYOFFS... :please:

And to answer your question... I never paid attention to that... Most owners are billionaires... so whatever pay these players... They can afford it... even the ones crying broke...

Dwight Howard might be traded by the end of the week

http://tracking.si.com/2012/07/29/dwight-howard-magic-traded-week-coach-vaughn/?sct=nba_t2_a10

After a week of pause while the Orlando Magic settled on San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Jacque Vaughn as their next head coach, the Dwight Howard trade rumors seem to be back in full swing.

The latest news is that the team will try to trade their franchise center in the next week, according to a report on Sunday from Sam Amico of Fox Sports, citing multiple league sources:

[M]ultiple league sources predict* the Orlando Magic will again step up efforts to find their All-Star center a new team. Several of those sources told FOX Sports Ohio on Saturday they believe Howard could be traded by the end of*next week.

Howard had reportedly reiterated to Magic general manager Rob Hennigan his desire to leave Orlando, but as talks cooled down for the past week, many speculated the team might hold on to Howard for the start of the season, perhaps beyond the league’s February trade deadline.

If that were the case and Howard remained with the Magic beyond February, he could end up signing with the Dallas Mavericks in the next offseason, a team he said he would like to play for if he doesn’t sign with the Los Angeles Lakers or Brooklyn Nets.

The Lakers have long been courting Howard but Andrew Bynum’s reluctance to sign long-term with another team has proven to be a snag in executing a trade for Howard.

Carl Landry Signs Two-Year, $8M Deal With Warriors

Carl Landy and the Warriors have reached agreement on a two-year, $8 million deal.
Landry signed a one-year deal with the Hornets last offseason.
Landry will presumably backup David Lee at the power forward position.

Josh Howard Narrows List To Five, Near Free Agent Decision
Jul 30, 2012 10:36 AM EDT

Josh Howard has narrowed his list of potential landing spots to Brooklyn, New York, Utah, Indiana and Golden State and is expected to soon make a decision.
An unrestricted free agent, Howard averaged 8.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 43 games for the Jazz last season.

Raja saga rages on

08:55 AM ET 07.31 | Though it has nothing on that of Dwight Howard's, the Raja Bell saga continues. The Salt Lake Tribune learned Monday that Bell has not accepted a buyout with the Jazz, despite the veteran guard saying July 8 a verbal agreement had been reached between the sides and only formalities remained. "We've been given the greenlight by Utah to go ahead and find something that works for us. We've agreed to the terms," Bell said in July. ... Jazz General Manager Kevin O'Connor would not discuss Bell's buyout when recently asked about the situation during Summer League in Orlando, Fla. But a league source confirmed Monday the Jazz have officially offered Bell a buyout. He has refused to accept the deal, though, delaying an already long-delayed process.

The Next Free Agent: Dell Demps

Jake talks about why the next contract the Hornets should look at is not a player, but General Manager Dell Demps.

We’ve spent much of the offseason speculating about the future of Eric Gordon, whether it is legal, per the CBA, for the Robin Lopez trade to go through, or how much cap space the team has. But we’ve forgotten about the big two remaining free agents the Hornets have.

The man that brought the team together and the man that coaches them: Dell Demps and Monty Williams. I’ll tackle Monty later; right now, we’ll look at Demps.

Extending Demps’ contract should be one of Tom Benson’s top priorities.

If there is anything to learn from the Neil Olshey situation with the Clippers, it is best to be proactive when trying to retain front office talent. The last thing the Hornets need is for Benson to either get cheap with Dell or think that one the Saints personnel can handle the position. The Hornets have one of the brightest GM’s in the league, and they need to do everything they can to hold onto him.

For the past two seasons the Hornets have been mired in instability. Now that they are entering a new period under new ownership and are poised to be a young, rising team there needs to be a cohesive plan to keep things on the upswing.

Stability starts at the top. The owner is now in place, but the first shakeup started with members of Benson’s cabinet taking over key roles in the Hornets organization. Obviously there will be changes with a new owner, that is to be expected, but the man who has been the architect of this still-evolving team is too valuable to replace.

Think of the offseason thus far as an interview for Dell Demps. For the first time he has had the ability to put together the team he wants — there is no star point guard to try and appease; no going-broke owner with cold feet; no lack of an owner with who-knows-what on its at-least-29 minds.

And yet, despite the previously mentioned challenges he’s faced, Demps has fully remade the roster. As I pointed out last week, Demps has mainly done this from one trade to the next. While you may disagree with some of the contracts he’s given out, almost all of his trades have come at the expense of minor assets–mainly 2nd round picks. With the recent acquisition of Lopez you can start to see the end result of his moves. For now. It’s worth noting that nearing the start of Demps’ third season, there is not one player from the 09-10 season on the team anymore.

But of course it is not that simple just to hand him a new contract. There are two main reasons why.

First, there is the big black eye of the Whatever-The-Hell-Happened-Lakers-Trade. Without rehashing all of that, keep these thoughts in mind: At the time of the Lakers trade, there is no way of knowing what form of the Clippers trade was on the table. And, Demps truly believed the team he put together from the Lakers trade would be a contender.

Second, it would be hard for Benson to give Demps a new contract based only on the team he’s assembled. Results do matter, and we’ve yet to see this team play a single game. With a year left on his current deal and, presumably, a team option for the year after that, I doubt we’ll see his deal extended just yet.

And even though Demps has done a great job retooling the roster, don’t think it is set. There are still positions to upgrade and moves to make. And I bet the Chessmaster has a plan in mind.

Mac Daddy might been heading to the Bulls also...

NBA Rumors: Chicago Bulls Close To Deal With Tracy McGrady

The Chicago Bulls have certainly found themselves on the wrong end of NBA rumors lately. First, there was the almost confirmed rumor that Nate Robinson will be a Bull. Now it looks like Tracy McGrady, a man who was once good at basketball, could be the next domino to fall.

On the bright side, T-Mac was not awful last season. That is the only bright side. Well, he’s also going to be cheap so that might be the second bright side. After that, it gets ugly. Once again, the Bulls are going after a high volume shooter that does not shoot the ball that well. If this was the T-Mac of eight years ago, it would be fine. Too bad there isn’t a working time machine.

The Bulls are trying to drive their fans insane this offseason. Instead of making smart moves to set the team up for the future, they are going after cheap guys that probably will not mesh together. The Bulls are waving a giant white flag right now. They have totally mailed in the upcoming season and they haven’t even reported to camp yet. That takes some talent.

This still just one of the many NBA rumors out there but this sounds like something that will happen. McGrady was close to a deal with the team last year but that fell through. He wants to be a Bull so if the team wants him, they can have him. Too bad Bulls fans are not getting a say in this matter. At this rate, they could probably run the team better.

LeBron James: Earned Not Given?
by Lefty

Earned Not Given?

So this seems to be the new catchphrase for LeBron James now that he has finally succeeded in winning his first NBA Championship. While Lefty understands marketing and the need to sell t-shirts, did LeBron really earn his first championship?

There is already so much talk of LeBron being one of the greatest players of all time and comparing him to Michael Jordan. Many people point out that Jordan didn’t win his first ring until the 1990-91 NBA season. That is a weak argument.

Michael Jordan faced some of the toughest competition in the history of the game, matching up against the likes of the Celtics,76ers, and Pistons. All of these teams were spectacular teams of the 1980′s. Michael Jordan didn’t leave the Chicago Bulls to play with Magic and the Lakers, Bird and the Celtics, or Isiah and the Pistons. Michael wanted to defeat his peers – not join them.

Michael Jordan failed season after season constantly taking a beating from his arch nemesis – The Detroit Pistons. Jordan never gave up and inched one step closer each season. Eventually Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls reached the top of the NBA.

So what if it took MJ until the 1990-91 season? This should mean that LeBron should be compared to Michael Jordan? Why, because LeBron was 27 and MJ was 28? Lefty hears that argument from young kids who don’t know what they are talking about. It’s hogwash. What logic would apply there anyway? Magic Johnson won in his first NBA season.

LeBron didn’t gut it out with Cleveland. Instead, he took his talents to South Beach. How sweet would it have finally been to earn a ring with the Cleveland Cavaliers? His first, their first.

The true greats of the game have multiple rings. Isiah has two. Larry has three. Magic has five and Jordan has six. Those guys earned their rings playing against one another, not by joining forces and crushing the league. The fact that the Miami Heat didn’t win in their first season together is inexcusable and pathetic. LeBron is still far behind Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, and even his teammate D. Wade. LeBron James has a long way to go. It remains to be seen if he will ever earn the nickname “King”
