Is "tout" something WWE came up with trying to act like its some huge social media movement?

From my understanding they are a major investor in tout so they are trying to push it.

By the way I love when Lawler is sure of some shit that he's wrong about. RVD cashed in his MITB in advance and then beat Cena for the title.

Come the fuck on. Of all wrestling cliches, I fucking hate 'ref is knocked out' the most. I don't even like Cena and I'm calling bullshit.

CM PUNK !!!! CM PUNK !!!! CM PUNK !!!! CM PUNK !!!!
[will smith voice] That's how you end the show. From now on when you end the show, that's how you 'pose to do it [/will smith voice]

This takes me back to the days when all you needed to do to get over as a heel was beat down Rocky. HHH, Stone Cold, DX, Brock....anyone that wanted heel heat, just whip the Rock's ass on Raw and you were an instantly the WORST villain.

Now I need Punk and Bryan to tag together.

Say what you want but Rock has always been great at selling a beatdown. Muthafucka acts like he's shot and can't use his lower extremities. Cena could learn that from him.

I'm not getting hype for a full heel turn just yet. They could easily come back next week and kill all the heat off by saying the Punk was doing what he thought he had to do. We all known they exceed at fucking these thing up.

Great ending minus Big Show and they now have a hook for next week. This was the best Raw since the one after Mania 28 but it also showed how the past is better than the present. DB had an outstanding night and Punk turning heel was great but i felt like DX was just a bunch of old guys reliving their youth(btw was X-Pac about to rape Trish?), Taker/Kane is always great to see and they do come off like brothers. AJ becoming gm signals that they've jumped the shark on that angle, but all in all i give this Raw a solid 8/10 plus i got to hear Dude Love's theme which is always a win:dance:

Hi everyone. Just wanted to check in & offer my congrats on the 1000 episode of Raw. I was not asked to appear but I have a few thoughts .. As for Degeneration X, the most powerful group in the history of the WWE, I am very proud to have been a part of that .. And if you’re not down with DX, I have two words for you: SUCK IT! XOXO! … I am very proud to have played a role in the history making event that Raw is. I have many found memories from my time there … To all the WWE fans, Thank You for welcoming us into your living rooms each week and into your lives. We are who we are because of you.

Mabye if you werent getting your back blown out by random guys you would of been on there, then again Steph might not of wanted you and HHH in the same ring together

I'm suprised they were able to get Billy Gunn on board

Billy's been very public about his burying the hatchet with HHH over the last few years so I'm glad they invited him. It wasn't going to be a DX reunion if it was just Shawn and HHH again.

I hate that they have basically toned down Michael Cole, about 6 months ago Cole was dogging the shit out of Jim Ross but now they all buddy buddy and shit

I love it. Cole had become a huge distraction and the shit was getting worse. Since they've dialed him back, his commentary has been much better and the focus has been back on the wrestlers in the ring.

Raw was eh. Some golden moments, some typical shitty moments and some good building to the future.

Punk back as a heel? We'll see. Of course he can pull it off but he's been the only other guy who's allowed to get over and we all know how they do heels in WWE.
They need to go somewhere with Big Show. Is the Cena feud still on? What next?
I was feeling bad for DBryan but he looks to be getting a big payday with Charlie Sheen at SummerSlam. I would prefer a match with Rey Mysterio but I'm okay with Bryan getting paid.

No Austin? Hogan not even used in the opening video? I guess Steve was occupied because no way they snub him (unless he made a porn movie). Where was Edge?

Damn Swagger:smh:. Just quit. Put on a mask and be a member of Aces and Eights.

I was thinking Kane was going to interrupt the wedding based on Smackdown Friday but this was unexpected. Not better, just unexpected.

So that counts as Cena cashing in? They still couldnt make themselves book him to lose, even with outside interference.

Dave i don't see how you can question this because Punk had become just as bad as Cena and was in danger of becoming irrelevant by the end of 2012. This Rock feud is exactly what he needed and guarantees him at least another year of the spotlight, as for Bryan how could you feel bad for him seeing as he had an all around outstanding night. I feel bad for AJ because that gm angle just made her jump the shark imo, the main event was bad but the ending was great and now i can't wait for next week.

One of the main topics of conversation among wrestlers last night before Raw 1000 was an incident involving WWE champion CM Punk at the St. Louis airport.
According to several, there was a fan that Punk refused to sign for due to the way he approached Punk. The story making the rounds was the same fan had approached Punk in a similar fashion before, which led to Punk turning his requests down immediately and bluntly.

After Punk's refusal, the fan and possibly a second person became verbally abusive towards Punk and according to one source, loudly made a threat. Given it was so soon after the incident in Aurora, CO, a number of airport security soon descended upon the scene.

Punk and other WWE personalities who were arriving at the same time, including Ricardo Rodriguez, all stopped signing and taking photos. You can imagine the response from fans, some of whom were waiting for hours, to that happening.

Both Punk and Ricardo took to Twitter, noting that one bad fan ruins it for everyone. Punk actually apologized to everyone while Ricardo noted that some fans can go immediately into "creepy mode" very quickly.

One source believed that the fan had been identified and WWE security was going to try and find him and warn him about his behavior, although whether they were able to do so in an arena the size of The Scottrade Center, I can't confirm.

In speaking to a few WWE wrestlers this morning, they noted that it's not unusual for fans to be waiting for them when they arrive at airports or even be waiting (one wrestler described it as "stalking") in the early AM when the WWE crews are preparing to check in for flights. For the most part, they take it as part of the business and if fans are polite and aren't pushy, they will sign within reason.

No such thing. Punk was the clear number two face, number one among older male fans and has the longest reign in recent memory. He would be in the exact same spot come Royal Rumble (though I'm sure he would have dropped and regained the belt by then). He was in no danger of being irrelevent, not at all.
I liked the idea of him possibly facing Rock at RR (unless he puts Rock over, that would suck) but doing this now when you know Rock's not a full time guy makes no sense. They just turned their number two face without their being a solid #3 to take his place. So now they're just going to spin their wheels until Rumble?
I don't feel bad for DBryan, I was. There was no reason for him to take a Rock Bottom unless he was going to get his heat back, which he won't. We can't complain that they don't book strong heels and overlook when a top heel that' over gets killed for no reason. Now that same heel is about to get demoted because Punk just turned.

Show fucking sucked cept for APA and heel Punk. Rock puts over ppl while Hogan buries them.

I was glad to see Bradshaw come back with Ron Simmons in the APA than as JBL.

STEVE AUSTIN WAS NOT AT RAW BECAUSE
by Dave Scherer @ 12:23 PM on 7/24/2012

Steve Austin posted the following on his website

The reason I did not attend RAW 1,000 was because I underwent a major knee surgery on my left knee on July 2, 2012. Dr. Neal ElAttrache of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, CA performed the surgery.

The surgery was a complete success. I am currently three weeks post op. I began physical therapy a few days ago. I had a world class surgeon and a great medical team working on me. I am now working with a top notch PT team. I am still on crutches and will probably lose the crutches in another week. Then I will be in a custom knee brace much like the braces I wore in the ring for 9-12 weeks.

Dave you're sounding like a lot of the smarks on the boards i've been visiting. Punk had become a bore and needed to switch it up which is a good thing, he was the #2 face but was sacrificing his edge in the process. Bryan taking the Rock Bottom was a fun moment and there's no need to get his heat back, getting Rock Bottomed is an honor just like getting a Stunner or Tombstone. You have to stop thinking in old school terms because those rules have been killed off a long time ago. I think Punk should go over Rock at the RR because i could see them letting Cena win and setting up the rematch at Mania(which we don't need to see again).

Why would I stop thinking in the old school when that's the thinking EVERYONE wants to come back? This "new school" booking is the thing everyone find boring to the point where fans aren't even watching the shows, just reading spoilers and recaps to see if they missed anything.
There's nothing honorable about burying your top heels. Just because it's Rock doesn't make it okay. It's not like Sandow getting killed by DX, he's new and this won't hurt him long term and HHH is a big fan so he might even end up putting him over in the future.
Punk was in the best position of his career and coming off two great feuds (Jericho and Bryan) where the only problems were booking because the matches were excellent. The idea that he was becoming irrelevent is just insane.

I think Punk should go over but I have a hard time seeing that and they will book Rock and Cena for the title at Mania. Maybe Punk can get the Undertaker match (though I've had a feeling since he came back that was Brock's spot). Punk will be worse off in the long run with this heel turn than if he had stayed face a while longer.

While I was glad Punk turned heel ( I guess he did, WWE knows how to fuck up some shit ) You bring up a good point UD...Besides Cena who else right now can Punk feud with on the roster ? probably Sheamus but he got the thing with Dolph Ziggler, and you might say hey what about Rey ?? sorry he's involved with Del Rio ...I really cant think of no one off the top of my head ...this might of been a case of bad timing by creative especially since Orton wont be back for Summer Slam and their are clearly more heels than faces on the roster right now

Everybody turns (except Rick Steamboat) so a turn was coming but with Orton out and it looks like they're slow-turning Jericho, this doesn't make much sense.
The best we can hope for is he doesn't become a cowardly heel like everyone else. But it's not a good sign when he needs help from the Big Show to beat a guy he's already beaten a number times, even after said guy has taken Show's finisher once.

I can't even beef about the face/heel ration being so lopsided now because Mid-South/UWF used to have so many heels, they feuded with each other all the time but the current WWE heels are such pussies, they're still at a disadvantage.

It was nice to see the Rev. Slick back on WWE tv, even if no one knew who he was.

was I the only one thinking that the wedding props were going to fall down every time Slick was moving ?
