Nearly nobody goes platinum anymore. Hell, whats Nicki and Drakes current albums doing number wise?

Drake and Wayne both Double platinum but Nicki just went gold a month ago. .People not going platinum in any genre.
Drake is close to 2 Million sold with both of his albums..
Nicki is Plat on her first, and RIAA issued her a Platinum plaque for shipping Plat on the new one..

well its rawse who started this whole shit. he went from jeezy aint dropping, he is going to be push back to he aint going to sell period
. then jeezy went gold in 2 months, album didnt get pushed back all that tough talk for nothing. matter of fact his own album got push the hell back. now let see if he can outsell jeezy. if he does that then he won.

Lose My Mind was nearly a year old when that album came out. HE got pushed back. Lose My Mind dropped so long ago that Plies was relevant and by the time Jeezy album came out Plies had become ghost. Now the ironic shit is that Rawse too is getting pushed back but I think his was more of a result of not getting a buzzing single. Jeezy had a buzz single and still couldn't drop because Def Jam has higher expectations for Jeezy than they do Rawse being he's gone double platinum.
And let's call it what it was. Jeezy album sales got boosted because he came out in the 4th quarter of the year. Everybody know album sales increase that time of the year. The nigga did 300k and ended up selling 600k. That tells you right there. You sell 300k you gonna be 1 million sold in 7 or 8 months.
Nicki is at 600,000. Not platinum. Drake 1st album sold 1.3 million to 1.5 million. His 2nd album outsold it by a nice margin putting him towared double platinum.

what you talking about is before ross opened his mouth the beef wasnt even that big then. im talking about after rawse opened his mouth. and you can say what you want he still sold 600k. it shows that after all that time people still have interest in a jeezy album. let rawse drop his album and the same time and he still wouldnt outsell jeezy. he should have kept his big mouth close end.jeezy won

But he got boosted by holiday sales. Had Rawse dropped 4th quarter like he should've he would've got boosted as well. That's just real shit. I'm not anti-Jeezy. I fuck with Jeezy and Rawse music. But I just call it like I see it. You talking about some "he should've shut his mouth". I don't know nothing about that shit. They both had problems with each other. I'm fans of both. I can acknowledge that Jeezy did well with the 600k and that Rawse isn't the seller Jeezy is but in music he's more relevant if that makes any sense.

I didn't either and I don't understand why to be honest. Drake's last album had far more hits and felt like his popularity was even bigger and he somehow outsold it with this album. He even took a hit to his popularity a bit.
Yep.. Ive never understood the logic of the RIAA giving plaques based on shipments..
