now after she moved to NY ????:lol::lol:

As a friend from Dallas said she is living the life now. Saying when they came out to visit Amy flew to pick them up on the jet and the women said their time there felt like an episode of "sex in the city".

:lol::lol: The Nets are focusing more on her than their free agents

dwight is a combination of stupid and unlucky. He wanted his money and a select few teams too and unfortunately he got caught on the otherside of this new CBA where sign and trades have been removed. He has no control again for another season at the minimum and him making demands isn't helping his case.

Ninja got a decent lookin white broad tho :hmm:

Lots of people, huh? lol

Nah, I said we need him to defend Lebron and it was taken out of context. He ain't "the Lebron stopper", but he defends Lebron well.

Deng's a great defender, but it's come to the point where he uses all this energy on D, that it causes his offense to suffer. His defense is appreciated, but we need a 2nd scorer more. We need an offensive talent with decent D because Thibbs can probably make a decent defender into a good one with his system.

We already gotta get rid of one of either Deng, Noah, or Booz just to stay out of the tax, and we can't seem to get rid of Boozer via trade so Deng is next on the list.

I dunno what kats are talking about with that "Lebron stopper" BS. But let's not forget before the Thibs era, Deng was looking like a damn near bust and many wanted him gone. Two seasons later he's become the player he was expected to be. Unfortunately the Bulls don't want to deal with another injured core player next season so, :itsawrap:. And the Bulls front office LOOOVES that brotha. So the fact that they're shopping him should give a clear indication that they're going to make drastic moves. They're gonna blow it up and build around Rose and Dwight. Boozer is GONE, one way or the other. I'm not a fan of amnestying but hey, he's not getting paid like Gilbert Arenas or Stoudamire.

EDIT:
Now that I think about it, Dwight is friends with Boozer...Maybe he should stay, until Dwight resigns.

if he REALLY wanted to go to the Nets he would not have opted in and would be getting ready to sign there July 1st

exactly

I love how Dwight's camp is flipping it saying that the Magic threaten to trade him to the Lakers and he opt in because he didn't want to go to LA. Stephen A Smith and others are reporting but it makes no sense.

You go to LA you walk away and go to the Nets. He really fucked himself because the Nets have nothing to trade

Is it possible that Dwight says he wants the Nets because Adidas wanted him to go there?

I'm just going by this supposed "Adidas doesn't want Dwight and Rose on the same team" excuse.

it makes ZERO sense

LA would not have traded for him unless they knew for sure not only would he opt in but sign an extension as well

Orlando would not have been able to move him unless it was to the Nets

Like I said stupid and unlucky. He seems to wanted everything (that lets be honest a ton of players got in S&T's) and made every mistake possible to fuck it up. Then this New CBA is set to make leaving a team an absolute choice between guaranteed money and leaving for better a situation.

Well of course Adidas wants him in NY. Remember Adidas leak the Dwight shirt. And will actually have an Adidas store in the new Nets Arena and have open a Nets/ Adidas store in China and Russia.

As D Town and even Stephen A Smith said Dwight doesn't want a team where the expectations are high or has a history of winning.

(What does that say about my team :lol:) anyway the deal is this the Nets fit his ego. He could have stood his ground and kept his trade request but he backed out of it and resign. Claim loyalty and now here we go again. Orlando gets rid of their coach and GM and he still wants out

As Dwade tweeted

wadeloyalty.jpg

Dwight wants out of Orlando as the Magic Insider said Dwight doesn't want to be in Orlando if his neighbors are winning championships

it makes ZERO sense

LA would not have traded for him unless they knew for sure not only would he opt in but sign an extension as well

Orlando would not have been able to move him unless it was to the Nets

I mean I never seen nothing like this. He had two choices.

He had Dallas or BK.

Two rich owners.

Dirk Deron and Dwight made too much sense.

Deron and Dwight okay that is more for marketing sense.

If he didn't want the Nets he still had Dallas. He screwed himself he had two teams ready for him.

If he and Deron felt hmmmm Miami is too strong. Lets go to Dallas that way we will only see them in the Finals.

I'm sorry a team with Dirk Deron and Dwight is better than the Thunder to me.

He mess up. My fear is this Deron resigns Dwight keeps saying he wants the nets. AND THE NETS DO THE SAME SHIT AND SIGN NO ONE AND WAIT FOR DWIGHT TO BE A FREE AGENT ALL OVER AGAIN

we thing that isnt mentioned enough about Dwight is that he really wants to be the good guy and didnt want end up like Lebron. He was pressured into opting in with the Magic and it seemed like he regretted it almost immediately.

Even if Orlando does deal us Dwight, Dwight ain't guaranteed to sign his extension with Chicago and the front office ain't blowing up the team if Dwight doesn't guarantee he's staying, not that Dwight's word means anything now anyway.

Put that on top of Dwight having no interest in Chicago. I think it's been mentioned maybe once of him wanting to come to Chicago before last year's trade deadline, but that was probably just to make another deal look better or some shit. I don't think we should waste anymore time trying to get Dwight in a Bulls jersey.

Dude's a buster anyway. He would rather spend his prime years and talent being a posterboy in a big city than be a champion. Nigga don't want a ring, he want a Wheaties box.

That's where he fucked up. You can't be the oood guy and leave. At least if he was straight up about it people could have respected him for being upfront.

Heat and Thunder bout to have shit on lock for the foreseeable future

Whoooooooa has kyle lowery been traded u seen his tweets

dont know if anything is official but it looks like the Rockets are trying to make moves

http://tracking.si.com/2012/06/25/kyle-lowry-trade-houston-rockets-nba-draft/

The Houston Rockets are trying to swing a deal that will give them a Top 10 pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft, ESPN.com’s Chad Ford and Marc Stein reported Sunday night.

Citing sources, Ford and Stein reported that the Rockets are talking with both the Sacramento Kings about the No. 5 pick and with the Toronto Raptors about the No. 8 pick. The Rockets have two first-round picks — No. 14 and No. 16.

The deal breaker, though, could be point guard Kyle Lowry. Ford and Stein reported that the Raptors are significantly interested in the 26-year-old Lowry, but it remains to be seen if the Rockets are willing to part with him.

The Raptors have been especially fond of Lowry, who has been regarded for months as a borderline untouchable in Houston but more recently has publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with Rockets coach Kevin McHale. Whether the Rockets are indeed prepared to part with Lowry, as talks with the Kings, Raptors and other teams continue, figures to be one of the bigger stories of draft week.

The Rockets reportedly have eyes for Connecticut center Andre Drummond, who is regarded as the draft’s premier big man after likely No. 1 pick Anthony Davis from Kentucky.

Rockets have been DESPERATE for a center ever since Yao had to retire

Looks like Drummond is their guy

I hope he is traded and the Rockets resign Dragic

I don't want the Mavs to get Dragic as some sort of consulation prize for fucking up if we don't sign Dwill fuck that

Just let the team suck then

And watch the Lakers who whoever power up with our 2013 1st rounder

Houston is stock piling picks to go after Dwight

The Houston Rockets's willingness to trade for Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard even if he refuses to sign a contract extension with them--to trade for Howard on a rental basis, so to speak--is one of the NBA's worst-kept secrets. And as Chad Ford and Marc Stein report jointly for ESPN.com, the Rockets haven't given up on renting the superstar: they're looking to obtain two top-ten picks in Thursday's NBA Draft in order to create a strong trade package for new Magic GM Rob Hennigan to consider.

If Houston can parlay its assets, perhaps budding star point guard Kyle Lowry and its 14th and 16th overall picks, into two high-lottery selections, then it could turn around and offer those new picks, as well as expiring contracts such as Samuel Dalembert and Kevin Martin, to the Magic in exchange for Howard and one of the Magic's bad deals.

As Ford and Stein note, this trade would be a tough sell for Hennigan, who only took the job Wednesday and may not be looking to trade Howard just yet. And for him to even consider such a transaction, the Rockets would have to wheel and deal themselves in order to get those high draft picks, so the possibility of a Howard trade to the Rockets looks slim. But it's early in the NBA offseason. Stay tuned.

My Sixers need size and to figure out a way to get Monte Ellis from Milwaukee. Bye bye Iggy. You muthafucka you!!!:angry::angry:

That the same thing ive been saying all along......

If he really wanted the NETS then why not just do that shit...

Now the nets have less to offer the magic. STUPID!!

The 2012 NBA Draft is four days away, which means executives are working the phones and the rumor mill is churning. In the days leading up to the draft, teams are doing their due diligence and gauging interest in their players, which is how talks heat up and rumors surface. We’ve already seen one trade in the last week, and more deals will likely follow. Here are some players who could be on the move:

Luol Deng – The Chicago Bulls are weighing all of their options and could trade Luol Deng prior to the draft. Chicago would love to move into the lottery and they’d be willing to part with Deng if the right deal came along. The Bulls are upset that Deng is representing Britain in the Olympics rather than undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist. Deng has heard the recent trade rumors and has accepted the fact that he may be dealt in the near future, according to sources close to the forward. Chicago would love to add a young star that could develop alongside Derrick Rose. The Golden State Warriors, holding the seventh pick in the draft, have expressed significant interest in Deng. When Britain’s national team started their training camp in Houston this week, Golden State’s East Coast scout Speedy Claxton was in attendance to take a look at Deng.

Kyle Lowry – In May, Kyle Lowry publicly stated that he wouldn’t be able to co-exist with Houston Rockets head coach Kevin McHale next season, saying that he would have to be moved if McHale returned. Now, Lowry may get his wish. The Rockets have gauged interest in Lowry and discussed a number of potential deals involving the 26-year-old point guard. Houston would love to move up in the draft or acquire a star player, and they would be willing to package Lowry with their first-round picks (No. 14 and No. 16) or Samuel Dalembert if the right deal comes along. In the past, Lowry was off limits in trade talks, but that no longer seems to be the case. It’s very possible that Lowry is dealt and Houston re-signs restricted free agent Goran Dragic, who emerged as a starting-caliber point guard last season. Lowry may realize that his days in Houston are numbered. On Sunday, he tweeted, “It’s been real.”

Andre Iguodala – The Philadelphia 76ers nearly traded Andre Iguodala in the days leading up to last year’s draft, but ultimately decided not to make a move. Now, league sources say Iguodala is on the trade block once again. The 28-year-old could be moved this week, with Philadelphia weighing their options and considering a move into the lottery. The 76ers met with several top prospects during the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, including Andre Drummond, and they may be willing to part with Iguodala to acquire a top pick. Philadelphia seems ready to turn over the reins to their young core of Jrue Holiday, Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young, which means Iguodala could be on the way out.

Josh Smith – It’s no secret that Josh Smith wants the Atlanta Hawks to trade him. The 26-year-old demanded a trade earlier this year, but Atlanta wasn’t ready to part ways with their star forward. Smith has grown frustrated with the organization because he doesn’t feel they’re committed to building a contender. He wants to win and he’s not sold he can do that in Atlanta. While the Hawks weren’t ready to move Smith at the trade deadline several months ago, that could change now that he’s entering the final year of his contract. If they believe he’s going to leave as a free agent after the season, they may trade him to ensure that they don’t lose him without receiving anything in return. If Smith’s departure is inevitable, Atlanta may cash in before it’s too late.

Rudy Gay – If the Memphis Grizzlies decide that it’s time to part ways with Rudy Gay, they’ll have no shortage of potential suitors for the small forward. A number of teams have inquired about Gay including the Charlotte Bobcats, Toronto Raptors, Golden State Warriors and Brooklyn Nets. The 25-year old is owed $53,666,790 over the next three years, but executives continue to express interest because of his potential. Gay’s name has been discussed a lot in recent weeks, but it’s unclear whether Memphis is looking to move him. League sources believe he could be dealt if the right offer comes along.

Pau Gasol – The Los Angeles Lakers would like to move Pau Gasol for a top draft pick or star player, but that’s easier said than done. Los Angeles has shopped the 31-year-old, but the general consensus around the league is that they’re asking for too much in return. There aren’t many teams that want to pay Gasol $38,285,850 over the next two years, especially since he’s coming off of a lackluster postseason in which he was inconsistent and averaged a career-low 12.5 points per game. Jim Buss recently went on the record to say that the Lakers aren’t looking to make major changes. In reality, the team would love to move Gasol, but his trade value is at an all-time low.

Jamal Crawford – The Portland Trail Blazers are actively shopping Jamal Crawford. If they don’t find a deal for Crawford by draft night, they will lose him for nothing because he will opt-out and become an unrestricted free agent on June 29. Portland extended the deadline for him to opt-out so that they could shop him and try to facilitate a trade. If they’re able to find a trade partner that Crawford deems suitable, he’ll opt-in to the final year of his contract and make $5 million next season. Several teams expressed interest in Crawford leading up to last season’s trade deadline so it’s possible that Portland finds a last-minute deal and receives something in return for the 32-year-old guard.

Jameer Nelson – The Orlando Magic may be looking to move Jameer Nelson by draft night. The Magic extended the deadline for Nelson to opt-out from June 14 to June 29, just like the Blazers did with Crawford. This could mean that Nelson indicated he was going to exercise his player option, giving Orlando no option but to facilitate a trade if they want to receive compensation for the veteran point guard. However, the two sides agreed to the extension before the Magic had hired a general manager so it’s possible that the decision was delayed so that Nelson could meet with the team’s new GM and discuss his role with the team before choosing to leave. The reason for the extension is unclear, but one thing is certain: Nelson’s future in Orlando is up in the air.

Another Hall of Famer to Heat?
bos_u_rayts_576.jpg

MIAMI -- The celebration isn’t done yet, but the Miami Heat’s plans for the future are under way. All champions want to repeat, and of course, the Heat already have expectations they’ll do so. Oddsmakers have installed them as next year’s title favorite.

What are their plans to attempt live up to it?

With a banner going up, their roster of stars and their attractive location, the Heat will be in play for some potential impact free agents, including Ray Allen, Lamar Odom, Steve Nash and Andre Miller, to name a few.

The Heat also have a first-round pick, No. 27, this week that they are expected to use on a backup big man such as Fab Melo of Syracuse, Andrew Nicholson of St. Bonaventure or Festus Ezeli of Vanderbilt depending on who might be available.

So the rich get richer? Maybe.

In the playoffs, the Heat discovered a formula that worked very well. They moved Chris Bosh to center to fill a longtime void. They played LeBron James heavily at power forward and played Shane Battier there as well. James’ numbers playing what essentially was a new position in the league -- point power forward -- saw him average 30 points and nearly 10 rebounds a game in the postseason. The Heat also proved that using the combo of Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole at point guard was effective. Overall, it was a jackpot.

Going forward, the Heat may look to add to their wing position to make it easier to have James play more minutes at one of big man spots. There are some veteran point guards like Nash, Miller or even Jason Kidd out there, but the Heat likely have more of a need for a shooter. Adding Nash, for example, would create incredible star power but also would require the Heat to potentially revamp their offense and lineups that they’ve spent two years figuring out.

Enter Ray Allen
This is why Allen could be a nice fit.

Allen had surgery almost three weeks ago to remove bone spurs in his ankle. It’s not clear what his recovery timeline is, but Allen said -- within earshot of the Heat’s locker room at the end of the conference finals -- that he was planning to continue his career.

According to multiple league sources, there is mutual interest between Allen and the Heat. The most the Heat can offer is a contract starting at $3 million per year, which is known as the taxpayer’s midlevel. Allen could get more money elsewhere, but the Heat offer an attractive portfolio that goes deeper than cash.

But before you consider how Allen might look in a Heat uniform, take a moment to get a more well-rounded view of the situation.

A big issue is just how much money is the team is willing to send to its competitors in luxury-tax payouts to add Allen or any other free agent. It is a championship team as is, and its payroll is ballooning even without adding players.

The Heat are one of the teams that will test the mechanics of the new collective bargaining agreement, which places a heavy burden on the big spenders in an effort to control competitive balance. This season the Heat will write a check for about $7 million in luxury tax. They are in position to have the third-highest payroll in the league next year at nearly $80 million, and that’s before signing a free agent. That will cost them $10 million in tax in 2013, and they will have to pay millions more in revenue sharing that also will go to their rivals, including the Oklahoma City Thunder. In the '13-14 season, when the new enhanced tax takes effect and the Heat already have in excess of $80 million committed, they are looking at a potential luxury-tax bill between $15-20 million. And just to repeat: That’s without signing any free agents this summer or next summer.

As Heat owner Micky Arison said in December, “We can keep the Big Three together, but they have made it expensive. ... It was a bad financial deal for us.”

Good news/bad news
Basically, the Heat are in a good news/bad news situation. The good news is they have James, Dwyane Wade and Bosh under contract for two more seasons (all three can be free agents in '14 or ’15 or ’16), and there was no hard cap installed that will force Miami to break up the highly paid stars. This has now been proved as a championship core, and there’s no reason not to keep it together.

The bad news is those three earn so much money, a combined $52 million next year and $56 million in two seasons when the new tax kicks in, that it makes adding onto the roster penal. Especially when Arison is also writing checks to contribute to the revenue-sharing pool. This is why he was one of the owners who voted “no” on the new CBA.

Arison is one of the league’s wealthiest owners and recently was estimated at being worth more than $4 billion. The Heat are in the process of negotiating a new local cable deal, and Forbes reported last week that this deal could be worth more than $80 million a year. The Heat quickly denied an agreement was done. That said, just assuming Arison is going to continue to spend freely because of his personal wealth isn’t a guarantee.

“That's the way fans feel, that's the way players feel, that's the way coaches feel,” Arison said before this season about operating in the red just because he can afford it. “The only one that feels different is people who run a business, who expect to get a return on their investment."

Arison was one of the owners who pushed to create a luxury tax in the first place and has a reputation for being a fiscally responsible owner. He cut his coaches’ salaries by 20 percent during the recession, for example. Last summer he cut his staff’s salaries during the lockout even though the Heat were coming off a profitable year and had all the season-ticket money for this season in their coffers.

Is he willing to sign a player like Allen if it could cost him potentially triple the money in 2013-14 when he already has a championship team?

Mike Miller's replacement?
Some of it may determine what happens with Mike Miller, who has three bulging discs in his lower back in addition to some other issues. He’s said he will see doctors and make some decisions in the next couple of weeks. Miller might need two surgeries, one on his back and perhaps one to his foot, this summer. That would bring the number of surgeries he’s had with the Heat to six since 2010.

The Heat have several options with Miller. They could:
Let him have the surgeries and rehab. He’s a useful player; he just scored 23 points in the Finals close-out game despite those injuries. It's hard to say he can’t play anymore after watching his shooting display.
Use their amnesty option for the three years and $18.6 million left on his contract. Miller has privately prepared for this for months. Arison still would have to write the checks, but Miller would be removed from the payroll and the team would save millions in luxury taxes and potentially carve out room for a new player. If Miller departs in this manner, Allen would be an excellent replacement.
Work out a buyout of the rest of Miller's contract that would limit the Heat’s spending and tax liability. He hinted at this possibility by saying, “I couldn't picture a better point to go out on top like this as a champion. But we'll see. We'll visit the doctors and see what parts work and don't, and go from there.”
Request a disabled player exception if the surgeries might keep Miller out an extended period. They could get a $2.9 million coupon to sign a free agent for next season. However, this would add to their tax and payroll issues.
Get Miller declared permanently disabled and have his contract removed from their books if league doctors agree. But they couldn’t do it until a year after he’s played his last game. That could help the Heat financially in the long term but not short term.

Regardless of what happens, the Heat are in a strong position heading into next season. There may be other veterans near the end of their careers such as Jermaine O’Neal and Grant Hill who also will look to join the team because of their contender status.

They’re not going anywhere for a while.
