Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 3-1)~-~-~

has your fav player won 6 rings?

i'll wait.

I will say this, James has gone through exactly what Jordan went through, and before Jordan got that first ring, he had to go through and endoure more than any player at that time.. People forget that the same things people are saying about LeBron they said about Jordan prior to the rings.... Also this is what made Jordan such a beast, because once the weight is lifted of winning that first win and the pressure is off of having to prove all the doubters wrong, then everything after that becomes easy..... In other words, we have not seen the best of James and nobody knows how great he will become, if he does get that first ring...

Can't wait for the game tonight. I really hope OKC doesn't just fold up and accept defeat.

I need somebody on the Heat to be Andrew Bynum and mention how easy close out games are.

No....we have seen the best of LBJ. He basically used his speed, size and strength to his advantage this year. Thats on of the reason why he has so many paint points. He showed his ass this year. IMHO...this was one of the best years of his career.

BTW...I understand where youre going with the "Jordan Been through this and that" analogies, but let me stop this early on before it gets out of hand...lol. Please let the comparisons stop there... MJ had many things that LBJ obviously lacks.

One of the reasons why I hate Kobe is because he spent most of his career obviously trying to imitate another Man; instead of building a legacy of his own.

Thats one thing that I respect about LBJ....he's never really came out blatantly trying to be like another player. Even though many, for some reasons, consider LBJ arrogant at times....Ive never heard him even mention any of the NBA legends in a manner of which it would seem like he was trying to "outshine" them.

LBJ is a hell of a player....but he'll never be no where near a MJ. Statistic wise he may be up there or better.....but overall....:smh:. LBJ also isnt near the competitive nature or the success of a KOBE (yet)...but stil ..he's one hell of a player and has the potential to outshine a bitch like Kobe..

welp!
Time to go get my snacks for the game. ill be watching this one solo today. I told my girl to come back later tonight after the game is over. The other day I tried doing the good guy thing and watch TV with her....but she ran her mouth damn near during the entire game; and she talked more during crunch time. the more the crowd got excited..the more she talked. No more bitch!

Physically he has always been a beast, but even so far this year you can see that he is mentally light years where he was last year... The knock on James has always been his confidence and nerves, if he wins this year the mental dominance will be unleashed... In Jordan case, he could not get over Detroit and it became a big joke... But once he learned to beat them, he never lost to them again... Jordan did not get physically better but instead his elevation into greatness came between the ears.. The same thing that we may be witnessing in James...

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 3-1)~-~-~

The Heat are gonna see OKC like they've never seen them before. Intense isn't even close to being a fitting word, BUT...

Man I just don't see how the Heat lose this one when it's all said and done. Too much at stake here.

LeBron needs 29 pts to reach 700 pts in playoffs. Would be 5th all-time to do it. Jordan, Olajuwon, Shaq & Iverson were others.

Thunder are 1-2 in elimination games since moving to OKC.

Officials for tonight's Game 5 of the NBA Finals are Dan Crawford, Monty McCutchen and Derrick Stafford. The alternate is Tony Brothers.

Charles Barkley

"If you’re successful, a lot of people aren’t going to like you. That’s just the way it is. I always used to use this analogy: Everybody hates the homecoming queen because she’s pretty. All the ugly girls hate the homecoming queen. And all the dumb kids hate the smart kids. That’s just the way it is. LeBron James, first of all he has to take some responsibility [for] the way he did the stuff last year leaving Cleveland, the decision, coming on stage talking about not five, not six, seven championships. So he deserves some blame, but like I say, he’s a great kid, he’s a great, great player. … If you look at his résumé right now, the only thing he’s missing is a championship, and he’s gonna get that done [Thursday]. And no telling how many championships they’re going to win. … I wish he had stayed in Cleveland, because those fans in Cleveland, man, they’re fantastic. They don’t even have real fans here in Miami, they’re front-runners. "
