Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

eewwll you are conceding to my point, you just don't know it. My whole thing is this: refs always make messed up calls. I expect them to make a bad call before a good call but as the SUPERSTAR of your team you shouldn't take stupid fouls to even get yourself closer to being in foul trouble. How many times did Jordan, Magic, Lebron foul out? Not many because even WITH THE STUPID FOULS FROM THE REFS they don't or didn't do anything to increase those fouls. Durant is a great player and he will learn his value, and that is not to take cheap fouls during the game. Let's forget about the refs for a minute because the weren't the cause of his 3 stupid fouls tonight.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

OKC just lost tonight, weren't they in the lead at times in the 4th? What happened to make them lose that lead IN THE 4th?

If it wasn't for Wade's blunder the game would have been over a long time ago..

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

KD is a better shooter, but there are things you can do to disrupt his game (shit it may not work, but at least you can get him to work hard).
And I am telling you guys as long as Ibaka is a non factor and KD is forced to play one on one vs James, Durant will continue to be in foul trouble...

When Lebron switches unto Durant, Durant beats him to the hole but runs into Bosh who deters his shot. And on the offense, you just have Lebron post him up. You take Durant out of the game you can let Westbrook kill the team. It's just that tonight Hardin had a rough night. This was just a bad game for the Thunder.

No, they trailed the entire 4th quarter.

They lost the lead in the 3rd when Durant and Westbrook were on the bench.

No. I am not. We are arguing about whether refs make bad calls. They do.

They just happened to make a majority of them against one team tonight.

I saw 3 and 1s where the miami heat player was not even touched..

the Wade reverse layup for the and 1. He was not even fucking touched at all.

So that is not even a cheap foul. That is just another one of a long list of horrible calls.

Even player commits legitimate fouls. However, Durant has had multiple illegitimate fouls called against him over the last two games.

And dont even give me that shit that it goes both ways.

I was the one after game 2 saying that the refs CANT call that OBVIOUS foult that Lebron made on Durant at the end of game 2..

however, that was a dumb ass foul by Lebron that would have tied that game and likely sent it to overtime.

HOWEVER IT WAS NOT CALLED.

That is my damn point. The calls arent going both ways. You are calling ticky-tack fouls on one team and not calling critical fouls on the other ..

go back and look at my posts after game one.. I was the person yelling that you cant make that call to end a game..so I dont have a bias towards any team..

however, OKC is consistently getting the short end of the stick man... that shit is not cool at all..

The officiating has been horrible at best over the last two games.

Every damn players makes dumb ass fouls.. one team is just getting away with them and the other team isnt..nothing more. There were a lot of and 1s that werent called againt Miami.

shit..Wade got his pocket picked AND he fouled dude on the layup... if you go by the way the game was being called against OKC..
that would have been a stupid ass foul by Wade but it wasnt called! now you might get it...damn

As I mentioned before, Durant was suckered into taking those shot.. The Heat took advantages of KD tendencies and overplayed him (for those non players, favor one side while guarding) and with the over play, it forced him either left or right, but into the teeth of the defense, where Bosh was waiting... KD problem is once he puts the ball on the wood, he doesn't pass nor does he dribble more than once... So once he is release he is like a missile only capable of going strait forward, making it easy for Bosh to help out at the hole, or a player to slide in his path challenging the charge... Until KD learns to pass or dribble better, the Heat will continue to exploit this weakness.
Note I saw this flaw before the series started, and I am surprised it took this long for teams to pick up on it.

It's like Durant doesn't know that Lebron is setting him up. :smh:

The next game should be good.

They need more ball movement and better picks, where Wade or somebody else has to switch up on Durant (KD kills Wade with his length)

He can't take the ball to the rim anymore. Lebron is leading him right into bosh who's deflecting his shot. It's going to be a tough finals for him

Not EVERY SUPERSTAR, forget the players we are talking about the face of the teams Lebron and Durant. Lebron doesn't make does stupid fouls in the open like Durant. You are 6'10" and Wade is 6'3", what the hell are you doing biting on a pump fake??? Foul the put him on the bench. 4th foul, why are you reaching in to stop Lebron when he has a clear path to the bucket???? 3rd foul. Take out these fouls and it doesn't matter what ticky tack fouls the ref calls, HE IS STILL IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's my point. Stop whining about the calls aren't even, they will never be when a driving team faces a jump shooting team, act like you know basketball man. DAMN!!!!!!!!!

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

its funny how someone shooting 50% from the field is somehow having a tough finals lol

offensively they cannot stop kd whatever you're conjuring isn't preventing him from scoring

he had 4 fouls little minutes
25 points 11-19 from the field

where is the difficulty? and he missed a few shots he normally makes lol

just stop it

KD is having a great finals, thats should never be questioned... What I am suggesting is that his play has been contained, so that his shots are difficult and so that he is not able to make his teammates better.. Durant is going to get his points, no matter what you do, they key is to put pressure on him by making him play both sides of the ball, and put the pressure on him by getting into foul trouble, by constantly going at him and attacking him..
That said, OKC could have still won both games, so that ought to tell you how great of a player KD is.

that sounds good and all but that's not what's happening.
they can't guard him, once he gets the ball its a wrap which is why they bump shove and body him (with no calls) to try and prevent him from touching it.
whenever bron is on him he goes around him... this isn't bron funneling him to bosh.. suggesting that as if kd isn't just going around him... he is. bosh made 2 plays.. kd has been going around him for 3 games... that theory is done at this point of my post.
getting into foul trouble, he gets bullshit calls on him that's the problem. the real fouls he committed are fine but if you're gonna sit here and tell me that kevin durant committed an offensive foul while in triple threat position sweeping through and then coming back

but think its right that the league supposedly cut out the punp fake lean into the person and get the foul called... though that's really the only consistent move dwayne wade has...

then i don't know what to tell you, its a lost cause

He got a charge, a few blocks and even a air ball during a crucial possession... But the biggest thing the Heat was able to do was force the ball out of Durant hands by playing him physical and tough...
As far as the cut and lean, it is still called especially on a big guy guarding a guard... (big men are trained never to leave your feet vs a guard outside the paint..) I guess KD sort of forgot he is damn near 7 feet, and will get called for that..

Please. I have probably forgotten more basketball than you have watched. So please we should not even go there.

Not only are the fouls horrible and add up to a discrepancy in free throws.

They also dictate the psyche of players. You have to become tentative because you are if you put a body on a player, you get the call against you. I have seen Durant fight against Lebron in the paint and get the call against him. However, Lebron is able to make the same play on the defensive end and not get called for the contact.

Those types of calls... not just on Durant... begin to dictate psyche.

I saw several and 1s where Miami Heat players were not touched. Again I point specifically to Wade on the fast break where he made a layup and was not even touched. We are not talking about questionable calls where there is slight contact. We are talking about calls where a player was not even touched nor did the opposing player even swipe at the player.

The refs are setting the tone of play and handicapping one team.

And as far a biting on a wade ball fake... Wade has one of the best ball fakes in the game and gets crazy elevation on his shot.. he is going to get you with it sometimes... not matter how tall you are you are going to have problems contesting wade on a shot because of his elevation.. Durant is going to foul players.. all players are going to get caught up in fouls... however, the questionable off the ball calls are extremely suspect when those are hardly even called against superstars on this stage.

I would be saying the same shit if the refs started calling questionable off the ball fouls on Lebron... and Lebron HAS gotten away with fouls in this series... stop talking that dumb shit about dumb ass fouls because Lebron almost lost the game for his team with the dumb ass foul against durant in game 2 that was NOT called.

All I can say is that the ref were being consistent, that pump fake shit, well didn't the Celtics feast off of that play vs the heat, and don't let me get to Kobe with that shit... Does Wade do it a lot, sure he does, and when it happens against your team, it is very annoying.. But its one of those plays that goes both ways... As far as KD 5th foul, that blocking foul on James on the fast break, well those things go both way also, but Harden caught Miller with that same play were it was called on the defense...
Only thing I can say, is the better you dribble the more they tend to favor the sliding ball carrier... Out of control or poor control usually results in a charge.... Something Durant should have been called for and fouled out, last game.

Well obviously you have forgotten more basketball than I know but I am not gonna sit here and argue about fouls being called or the lack of. Fouls get missed and some don't get called, yes it changes the way you play but that's what being a professional is all about. The celtics were able to body the heat the whole series, you know what happened, THE HEAT ADJUSTED. Can't keep whining about fouls being called , eventually you have to play ball. At the end of the day we are not on the floor so who knows. If Durant isn't whining why are you?

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Durant doesn't appear to know Lebron is just letting him slide pass him. And like road said by the time he's getting ready to drop that floater, Bosh pops his trolling ass up.

We are going to see if he adapts in the 4th game.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Durant got into foul trouble because he cant guard James one on one, however James has no problems guarding Durant on islolation.. This is one reason why I said at the beginning that it wouldn't be as easy as people think it would be for the Thunder..

That shit is not true at all. Do y'all actually watch the game or do you spit cliches all the time

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Stop with all the foul and ref nonsense. Durant made some dumb fouls early. If an NBA player is going to foul than they must make it count. The worst fouls are on fast breaks and reach ins. Durant got called for his first foul for reaching in on a Lebron fast break. There was no need to foul there. His second foul came on him using his body to try and contest Wade baseline shot. Why was this a stupid foul? Durant is 6'11 and his height and extension was enough to contest Wade's baseline shot. His third fould was a blocking foul trying to to a charge on Lebron.

Those where three easy calls to make and nothing controversial about them. Every player in the NBA will receive a questionable call throughout the game that may not go their way. This is why it is important to not commit silly fouls early because now the player is at risk of a questionable call hurting them.

One questionable call does not put you on the bench. Stop acting like it does. But when you commit three dumb fouls previously that questionable call is magnified. Durant had one questionable call all game long and somehow the refs were scheming for the Heat. I repeat, Durant had one questionable call.
