I've been saying the same thing since 2004. I have an all MAC setup because of work. If I ever switch jobs, I'm never going back to Macs. Believe that.

I ordered 16 GB of Ram, a 512 GB SSD and an external case for the superdrive.

I want to dual boot it and need to know the best and most functional way to do this. Any mac experts here?

The computer your showing in the photo is fine.... I am using the same one, except I swapped out the ram and when I got it it was a drop box (Apple put the latest software in the box)... been working great for the past 5 years... any issues I did have MAC covered them.... just three weeks ago I had a surface crack that they replaces (known issue).... they don't make the white mac books anymore unless your buying bulk for schools or something.... yes its old but anytime I take the damn thing out it still gets looks and someone coming over to ask me about it and/or converting from Windows...

Anyways, I dual boot windows 7 on my MBP for work. Best believe I can't wait to switch back to OSX when I'm off the clock. It takes some getting used to but OSX is better than windows. Not the quantum leap it used to be over XP and Vista but still better.

I wouldn't dual boot unless you're doing heavy 3D modeling/animation. If not, just set up windows on a VM and use both OSes at the same time.

I'm posting this from my 6 core i7 980x 4.0 ghz (modestly overclocked) Fully functonal Hackintosh with 12gb of ram right now. I paid 750 to build this bitch had it for almost 2 years now..

This computer would cost me almost 3000.00 if it were a official mac.

There are 300.00 i7 laptops that can be "hacked" as well.

I got the i7 2.4 Ghz

I had to search a bunch of best buys to find one cause apple recalled the old models.

I got the laptop for like $2200, the ram for $95 and the ssd for $412

Shit is cool, but I am learning the operating systems. My 2 other macs are power PC versions stuck on 10.4 so all these new keystrokes and shit are weird to me.
