Keep ‘em Coming

i can't really think of anything but i'm waiting for someone to post this Stephen King movie that's been posted here before but i can't think of the name of it. whatever it is i wanna see it.

Shutter Island was so sad... :(

*thinks*

Wait. I don't remember the name of it but there was this Japanese flick about these Yakuza and this cop and they go around the whole city interacting and shit. Really good. You get all engrossed in the story, is dude gonna get away, and then you get this showdown. You been expecting it the whole movie, but you get it at the end.

They shooting n shit and you think someone gonna take one to the dome when they pull out fireballs and destroy the earth. :hmm:

Probably the biggest "da fuck?!" moment in cinema I've ever had. Shit threw me so off I can't remember the name of the movie...

Chernobyl Diaries

Shutter Island

Inception

Shutter Island was a good movie. I forgot how it ended but I know it was one of those "you interpret it how you feel" endings. I got to see that shit again.

Inception was good but it had one of those meanings too. I didnt know if the nigga was dreaming the whole time or not

The more I think about 'PROMETHEUS", the more I like it.

EXCEPT...

I was so PISSED OFF with the ending. Only because the script blew a perfect opportunity that could have tied it to "ALIEN". Instead, the film took an existential "Hollywood" ending out to insure more sequels/spin-offs, etc..

I don't want to say any more.
Because some peeps still haven't seen it yet.

too many to name...it seems like a lot of moviemakers run out of steam and just tack on endings

you can always tell which ones when folks walk out the theater quietly just looking at the ground and shaking their heads :lol::lol:

1. The Departed
It's like they were editing the movie and realized that it was long as hell and didn't know how to end it so they said "fuck it let's just kill everyone"

2. AI
The Kubrick ending was great but Spielberg had to rape the viewer of their good movie experience by adding his touch to the story.

3. 75% of all Spike Lee movies
They just end with hardly if any resolution of the issues or even questions for the audience to answer. It's like you half to do all the work to make sense of your time wasted.

4. M. Knight Shyamalan films
Once you figure out the cheap ending about 20 minutes before it happens, it normally cheapens the rest of the movie which is normally good.

yeah i can name these 2 movies but you interpret it that way you want. i don't think either was supposed to have a "good or bad" ending for everyone watching. it depends however you wanna take it.

speaking of M. Knight Shyamalan films
the only one i saw all the way through was signs which was the only decent movie he made. But the whole ending was just flat out dumb.

If you didn't understand how brilliant No Country for Old Men ending was, you need to watch it again....one of the most powerful endings in movie history for me...that movie sticks with me to this day

When the Spanish cat blew up the money truck.

I wanted to throw a shoe at the screen...

The reasoning laid out here for M. Knight is the exactly reason why I hated the end of Inception. The second they introduced the spinning top idea into the plot, I knew that's how the movie would end. And the introduced that into the plot fairly early, which made it that much worst for me.

surprised nobody mentions this yet, great movie, shitty ending, they made him the antagonist at the end, i wanted him to kill jamie foxx and everybody else

:lol:it was like 12 people got merked in the last 2 minutes of the movie.

Why is it disappointing though? There was so much duplicity on both sides and all the rats got exposed and merked. The cops in Nicholson's gang, the goons in the pd, and Nicholson himself the biggest rat of them all. Mark Wahlbergs character found out Matt Damon was the rat in the unit all along that got Leo character killed and Mark took him out.

That tied up the loose ends for me. :dunno:

Departed still one of my favorite movies to this day.

Now I understand what some peoples gripe about Spike's movie ending are. I've heard this before about Spike but when I inquired about more no one could vocalize it. Now I gotta go back and watch all his movies. Any films in particular?

And I wanted to punch M.Knight dead in the jaw for the ending of The Village and Lady In the Water. :smh:

I was thinking Blair Witch, but I didn't think it was worth mentioning because these other movies were ones that were good up until the end and then fall off. Blair Witch was some bullshit all the way thru.

 @ my man crying in the car. I can't even get mad at that any more.

Yeah everybody was getting mekred by the end of the movie. Loved it. Characters I didn't even expect to die, did. Everything came to a head, couldn't ask for a more climatic ending to me.
