~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 3-1)~-~-~-~

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

The Heat is a defense team first. OKC is a offense team first. What wins championships?

Wade on Westbrook... Battier on Harden... Lebron on KD... Bosh on Ibaka. Spo better not start a small line up (Battier at the 4).

The Heat had to beat the Pacers and Boston majority of the series w/o Bosh. If Bosh was there, I think both series would have been done in 5 games.

Thunder has the edge on both sides of the ball and they have HC advantage. Only person that can fuck them out of this is Westbrook.

We normally always agree but you know damn well that OKC is not a better defensive team than Miami

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

Yeah this is good early commentary on this upcoming matchup I hope it stays this way than turn into one players personal sexual orientation, who's boinking who's girlfriend, players girlfriend mama got fat genes "so this is what shes going to look like in five years", that crap last year against the Heat especially with LJ's girlfriend was ridiculous, it noticably had an effect on his game which took away from the Heat's game. Back in the day I personally hated Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Reggie Miller because they always destroyed the knicks in playoff battles, but you didnt hear all the personal nonsense. Unfortunately anybody today with access can post a heap of trash and it ends up manifesting during playoffs, let's grow up, watch the game, and let's see who's got the better game this year it should be a good playoff

Some of you dudes should refrain from posting in basketball threads. I can understand picking OKC because this is a close series but the reasons are ridiculous.

The 2 most complete players play for Miami. Who has OKC faced with that kind of versatility. Since last year the Heat are top 3 defense...

Can somebody remind me when the Thunder all of a sudden became the 1989 Pistons on defense??? They are like the Spurs they exposed. They play OK defense but its masked by their offensive ability.

And dudes comparing them to the Mavs....... Smh. Carlisle is a defensive coach and Mavs were a far better defensive team than OKC is... But OKC knows that because the Mavs beat them before they beat the Heat.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

Okc in 6 is my pick. Better bench, better bigs.

Miami might become the buffalo bills of the nba great team but no rings.

Okc is just a more complete team up front and on the bench. Kinda like Dallas last year. if Miami thought Dallas was tough wait till they see Okc a younger Dallas team. Damn Okc is ballin too.

Miami in 7

I hope you niggas know this is the new bird and magic finals matchup these cats going to see each other in multiple finals for prob the next 5 yrs or so

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

All this talk about defense is just going to ignore the mismatches in OKC's favor? The thunder are a good team with 3 legit scoring threats (one of which has the mismatch at PG) and a ton of Bigs. Hell even battier isn't a clear advantage cause OKC has Thebo who is just as much a pest on D.

I mean you can say who did the thunder face in the west in the playoffs that played Good D and I can ask you who did the Heat meet in the East that played a good enough offense to test the Heats D anyhow?

Knicks Injuries like crazy so Melo was it (again...)
The pacers tried but Granger wa their only reliable option outside the paint
Celtics tried and shit if Ray Allen was as reliable as he was just last year who knows.

They will win it this year. The first of 3 at the least four at the most.

The East is and will belong to the Heat

That's a longshot. Heat doesn't have a Splitter to hack.

As a Heat fan i am 50/50 about the Heat chances

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

You a Hawks fan gtfoh

I keep telling you I am a hard core heat Fan... I went to their 1st ever game. Also i lived in Miami from 1978-1980 (my moms ran back to Ga after the 1980 riots) and 1983-1997 Class of 1994 Miami Northwestern. Just because I am hard on the Heat does not make me a non fan.

Please stop giving the heat multiple titles when they haven't won one title yet. Kobe got 5 titles. Let the heat get one before we crown them champs.

OKC in my opinion is a younger more athletic version of dallas last year.

They had bosh last year when they played Dallas and still lost.

Maybe Miami will learn from last year and make adjustments...But this going to be a tough ass series.

OKC in 6!!!

It baffles me how people really forget this. Bosh is a top 15 player in the league and people wonder why The Heat struggle when he was injured?

Damn so now OKC is defensively even with Dallas last year? The same damn team that beat them?

I swear some you dudes don't even watch basketball.

This series comes down to Lebrons effort. Since OkC is somehow the 11 Mavericks.......let's break it down. The Mavericks had Marion and Stevenson gritty perimeter defenders to bother Wade and James... They didn't stop Wade at all for the most part.

Far as Lebron he didn't simply didn't try. I believe Marion and Stevenson and Chandler got in his head to
The point where he didn't try.

Who does OKC have that can do that? Thabo can't guard Wade or Lebron, KD hasn't shown that yet either. Who's going to bully the Heat? Perkins could but he doesn't have the game to back it up.

One thing I do agree with is that if 2011 Finals Lebron shows up(or doesn't show up) the Heat will be done in 5 or less.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

:lol: None of them gotdamn teams you mentioned from the West play defense.

ibbjsrqnyv_Iqng.jpg

And none of them gotdamn teams on the East got an offense like OKC..my point was that OKC has had to play much better quality opponents than Miami and Miami barely made it..

The one thing that beats the Heat are "tough teams" Teams with players that get up in their face. Like Boston they bully Miami a lot. The Bulls.... the 11 Mavs bullied them. Chandler, Marion, Stevenson, imposed their
Will.

OKC just seems too nice.

So the Spurs don't take that series if Harden is injured in that series?

The Heat mirrors OKC's offense and augments them Defensively.

You say they barely made it but ignore Miami had to adjust without Bosh in their lineup?

Just stop it now :hmm:

OKC does not have a mismatch on the court vs Miami. Miami does not have to double anyone on OKC. OKC can't match up with Miami without doubling.

When it comes to scoring, no team in the NBA puts better scorers on the court than the Heat. OKC is a jump shooting team that does not score in the paint. Miami is a team that lives in the paint.

To me the key to the game is simple. Can OKC get quality shots and can Westbrook perform at a high level by playing smart basketball.

Coaching is was cost the Heat. If Rick did not implement the zone defense the Heat would have been up 3-0 and probably would have swept the Mavs. Bibby missed about every shot that a starting PG could possibly miss. Miller was injured along with James Jones. The zone defense is what beat the Heat. When the Mavs played man to man the Heat would consistently get big leads.

Durantula vs King

Westbrook vs Wade

X -factors

Bosh vs Harden

On paper it looks like a classic

I think OKC has the better "team". But Lebron been animal style lately.

I'm Going OKC in 6.

My prediction when the lockout ended

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

Miami hasnt been playing great defensive ball lately man.. Outside of Lebron and Battier, they have been very slow on rotations, getting back on defense, etc...

OKC might just sweep them boys but if not in 6

put the dope down... this is going 7... the problem is that OKC has the home court advantage...

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

All I know is this shit gonna be good. Either one of these mufuckas can take it.

This^

No Bosh, no title. Now that he's back I don't see how people think OKC is going to just run Miami off the court. I hate them but I'm not delusional. Cats r speaking from emotion and not basketball sense.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

It's gonna come down to D-Wade playing at a high level. He can't get outplayed by Westbrook because we can't double him and hope to win. Heat in 6 but I wouldn't be surprised if OKC sweeps if Wade shits on himself like he did in those early indiana games.

Against Indiana and the Knicks they did. I don't think people understand 2 things:

1. The importance of Chris Bosh

2. And how good Boston plays the Heat.
