Official 2012 Lakers vs Thunder Playoff Thread

 now that was a funny sequence.

Luckily Harden bricked the 3 after the Thunder got the steal off of the human turnover machine.

Where did Wobe think he was? And1 tryouts?

why you not at the game with your daddy?

Where are all these bandwagon OKC cats talking about how quicker, faster, stronger OKC is than the lake show. It's crickets in here tonight.C'mon son. I told you LA in 6. Its too many rings between the cats on the Lakers and the cats at OKC haven't so much as won a HS championship before. OKC will not win another game. The Kryptonite has worn off and it's soul II soul, Back to Life, Back to Reality.:lol::lol:

if westbrook doesn't go to the hoop like he could easily do and keep pulling up for the jumpers he needs to sit down
simple as that.

makes no sense he's past his defender leaves him in the dust then pulls up.......

how about force a big man to jump and dish...like a point guard should

go to the hole and get a layup

shit don't make no sense

You probably should save this kinda talk until you actually have a lead in the series.

The Spurs-Clippers series is a good example of how having a bad coach can totally kill your chances to be successful, despite having all-star talent on the team.

OKC would be going for the sweep if Coach Brooks would change his scheme on defense. Atleast Harden is shooter better to start for the Thunder... Or maybe not (as he puts up another brick from 3)

i wish the thunder had a coach that could make adjustments

Bynum and Co. got that ninja shook. He also is scared of Kobe, so he's become a pull up jump shooter. Since he aint really a shooter, he's falling right into the Lakers hand. Game 1 was fools gold and had him thinking he could shoot like that every night. Everyone knows his strong point is driving to the cup, but he wants none of anything inside the lane. Series over. Kobe again has outcoached his opponent:itsawrap:

im tired of these weak ass coaches with their fucking pep talks
when you hear pop or doc or shit when phil was coaching and they had the little listen in you'd hear some real shit, hey guys you gotta do x, y,z cause this is happening and we need this to happen, this time you do this and we're in good shape

when you hear spo or brooks all you hear is "trust your teammates"
"stick together"
"play defense"

smfh

oh wow did they really call that a foul when durant has been the the rim no less than 3 or 4 times gotten knocked on his ass with no call....

but that was a foul??????

i thought i told you to not comment on any other team
you clearly have no idea what you're talking about
westbrook does this AGAINST EVERYONE it is his m.o. in his game this has shit to do with the lakers
stop it

and now with your wet fucking floor with ice underneath after switching games for the 2nd nba game of the day westbrook is hurt

what the fuck smh

The 2 wins in OKC were both flukes. Game 1 was won because the Lakers were just wore out from the Denver series. Game 2 was flat out lucky. Now you are seeing the both "real" teams in action and it's clear the youth movement is looking more like a college all star team than a playoff contender. It takes more than talent to win in the players, namely b-ball IQ. So in situations where talent is just about equal, the smarter teams will win. That's what you're seeing now. OKC needs another vet in the lineup to ever really contend for anything. Both KD and Westbrook have never been in this situation before and are crumbling under the circumstance. Also, you live by the jumper, you die by the jumper. The only jump shooting team that has ever won at this level was Dallas. And now you know even that was a fluke.

This slippery ass floor is a mine field, tonight!

man they dont need them out there tonight if they knew they couldnt get the damn court ready. Thats some bullshit.

why on earth would they try and play 2 basketball games and a hockey game on the same damn floor. 2 games in one day 2 different floors.... come on

kobe almost got fucked up in the beginning of the game slipping on the damn floor

I didn't know the Staples Center hosts three sports in the same space. I always thought it was configured differently.

I guess I never processed that thought since I don't really follow any of the teams.

Another reason it was stupid and unfair to have the LAL/OKC series have back-to-back games. 3 games in the same arena in one day?

Man please stfu. The lopsided officiating from game 3 is the only thing that has you NOT fighting off broomsticks tonight.

Honestly, do you really think OKC has more talent than LA or were you like all these other cats praying for OKC to magically pull this out? I just want you to honestly ask your self that?

Yes they do have more talent than the Lakers. They are young and building up to a great team.

OKC getting outplayed BUT the the game has not been called consistently on both sides. Why are the refs letting the Lakers get away with double dribble calls? DOUBLE DRIBBLE. Shit that should never happen after elementary school and why are there superstar calls? Speaking of superstar calls, how come KD can't get the superstar love from the refs that Kobe gets? How come Kobe gets to hook the defenders arm and get a foul called on the defender when really Kobe initiated the tangle? How is it pointed out all the time but no changes happen? Fuck the NBA.

This is why the NBA is shit. It's never fun to watch free throw shooting contests. See how many times you can fool the ref, and exercise your "star power" to influence calls.

I agree, last night they was calling fouls on everything. Now they call fouls on every other thing. So inconsistent.

It's the same with ALL sports. The entertainment value of the event will always override the competitive aspects of the game. These games are marketed for stars like Kobe to shine for ratings purposes and because of that it's going to dang near take a glitch in the matrix for LA not to get to the finals. The players play their part, but they are really just pawns in Stern's chess match. Stern is essentially playing Playstation NBA2K12 with these cats. But sometime, like when Dallas beat LA last year there are "glitches in the matrix" and the powers that be can't control the outcomes of games even when they want to. No one knew knew that Dirk was going to shoot lights out for 4 straight games. But unfortunately, there are no Dirks on OKC.

I must've been hiding under a rock but when the hell did Artest become a consistent 3 pt shooter? Dude be squaring up and knocking them down too easy.

The conspiracy heads are back at it!

It's AMAZING how there is never conspiracy talk when LA is getting their asses beat!

Like I said the other day, the Spurs have four rings over the last 12 or so years, and the Knicks having TWO in NBA history pretty much destroys some league wide conspiracy to have certain teams make the Finals.

Hell, when's the LAST time LA and NY played each other in the Finals? You know the ratings a series like that would get?

Shit, we even had a Cavs vs Spurs Finals last decade.

GTFO.

LA win because they always get quality players. They stunk it up in the mid 2000s and everyone enjoyed it. Now they're competitive again, and David Stern is fucking Svengali.

GTFO!
