has mayweather ever been knocked down in his career?

his glove touch the canvas against Zab but ref didn't see it...other than that nope....

the way he fights he can be dominate for a few more yrs...at 35 he is still a fresh fighter

Yes.

Officially against Carlos Hernandez when he put his glove on the canvas after breaking his hand.

Unofficially he was knocked down against Zab Judah but it was not counted as one, incorrectly so.

yep, his defense is too good. and these fighters cant hit him hard enough. and yeah, zab did get make him touch the canvas but it wasnt called.

Thinking about Zab hurts my heart. Dude could go toe to toe with any great, but would get rocked by bums.

He was beating Mayweather up until that melee in the ring... :smh:

He would halfway focus for big fights and think that his talent would get him the W against mediocre fighters.

losing from a low blow by Amir Khan

why does everyone act like they don't see it

so what he was losing.....still.
I don't think that that was a low blow. He just flopped like LeBron afterwards. He didn't want to continue and was looking for an excuse to end the fight.

go watch Judah vs. Ward

same illegal blows they went back n forth with....right above the pubic hair area

shit hurts. :smh:

Zab was not going to win that fight he was outclass from the start....he is B level fighter he will get destroyed by any top JW or WW fighter...again he has no business in there with a then top 5 P4P fighter Khan

he was there to get beat up & it happen he just use the opportunity to quit he didn't even have a punchers chance :smh:

he was never a focus fighter

even during the height of his popularity especially here in Brooklyn fool was getting into all types of trouble...never focus & his pops Yoel ain't helping either....

waste of talent at one point he was as fast as Floyd but never disciplined like Floyd

:cmonson:
You know Zab started playing because May was starting to pick him apart.
Zab had 5 good rounds.

You're giving him three more than I gave him. He was strong and fast the first two and Mayweather took over from there with Zab getting in one more flash in the 4th (a round he still lost). He was on his way to getting ko'ed before the melee.

The one time that counted probably shouldn't but the time that should have didn't.

Shane almost dropped him, but Mayweather's instincts took over and he grappled for dear life.

Thats the sign of a great fighter to have the ability to clinch from a vicious blow

Showed just how strong floyd's chin is when before that mosely fight niggas on bgol who dont like floyd and cac questioned if he has a chin

And btw shane aint drop floyd stop smoking crack lol

Is Floyd nearing retirement?

I'm sort of new to the sport. I've watched highlights of great fighters, but never got into the sport. So, I know names of many fighters, but that's the extent of it.

He is. He's probably got a couple more fights left but this is the tail end of his career.

Boxing needs to get it's home video/dvd/blu ray game up like UFC. So newer fans can not just see the main event but the whole cards. I prefer boxing but UFC kills them in being easier for new fans to jump on.

I dont get all the love for Zab Judah. He's a good fighter, but he's not in the class a lot of people seem to think he's in. When you look at his wins, there aren't many QUALITY wins.

zab has always been the fighter just good enough to get a match with a prize fighter, start out good in the first few rounds and get his ass handed to him for the rest of the fight. if mayweather, pac, and mosley are/were superstars , then judah is a star.

That in itself is very telling. Mayweather maintained his composure during that whole melee and was still focused on the task at hand. Meanwhile Zab was acting like he's in the streets of Brooklyn.

Zab has Mayweathers talent but not his discipline.

I think it's because of his mix of ridiculous speed and power, his natural gifts are special. When he looks good(mostly against lesser opponents) he can be ELECTRIC. Basically the love is for what he could be, not what he is or has been.

Nah. He never had Mayweather's talent but he did have superior physical gifts (speed, power) but never the skill or heart or boxing IQ to maximize them.

This is not true; the reason why the melee occured is, as usual, Floyd had solved his opponent, in this Zab Judah, and was pummeling him. A round before that, Zab's father had whispered something in his ear (probably instructions to foul Mayweather)...So when Zab fouled Floyd, Roger Mayweather jumped in the ring, the melee ensued and Roger was disqualified...Floyd said in the post fight interview that the ever prescient Roger had told him that he had a premonition that Zab would do something that would force him to jump in the ring... It is time to give Roger Mayweather his due. The guy is one of the greatest trainers of all time. He is also a very philosophical man...

I'm wrong; I forgot the fight was in the 10th round, I thought it was earlier than that.

I do remember Jab winning at most four out of the first seven rounds, particularly the second where Mayweather's gloves touched the canvas. If that was ruled a KO, Zab would have been closer come the 10th.

everytime i see Zab's name.....all i can think of is...

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

i would like to see him retire 50-0

you wont hear no more rocky Marciano shit

Floyd can't beat his KO ratio at this point though :smh:
