No hate at all, Im a big Shaq fan but I hate when celebs get degrees because it's easy for them. Theres no way I could get my degree like Tyra and Shaq did. That shit is basically paid for by them. It just pisses me off when celebs do that shit and its so easy, but if u and I do it we have to bust our asses. I watched my mom get her Degree working at 3am and taking classes in the AM and interning in the evening. So, excuse me if I don't give a shit if Shaq buys a degree.

I feel ya though cause I was like ya moms, I had a school year where I slept at work on 3rd shift. Had my CC stolen by juveniles on my unit.

Yeah man, I was just talking to my cousin a few months ago, about some of the stuff he did to get his doctorate

And this dude just pops up with one all of a sudden.

If he was really working towards his doctorate he would have been saying he was working towards it years ago, not being a sheriff and all that other bullshit. You're not insulting MY intelligence with that shit.

Everyone talking about the validity of the degree needs to really think about how at Universities like Harvard and Yale

There is grade inflation a B magically get turned into an A on transcripts and they rarely give out C's because rich mommy and daddy may stop giving to the school....

So what do you call a valid degree when that bullshit is going on, esp at the Ivy League schools?
 
I may have missed it, but WHO on here has evidence that he didn't EARN this?? not TALK, but evidence... I heard about him working on this 3.5 years ago... Again, bullshit degree, maybe, but... .what degree ain't bullshit. The smartest woman I've ever met wasn't in undergrad, or MBA school, but a physics 'professor' at a community college where I took a non-credit summer class during undergrad years.

It does not mean much...What was his desertation?

Remember, there is a system to college education:

The Bachelors degree is designed to teach you the fundamental principles of a subject

The Masters degree is designed to specialise you in one are of that subject to the fullest extent of the known knowledge

The PhD is allow you to make an original contribution to your area of study;

The most important area of the PhD is the desertation, otherwise PhD level courses themselves are the same as Master level courses.

If he did were 16 classes, or 48 credit hours, why did they give him a PhD?

I did 39 credit hours plus a Theses for my Masters degree, why am I not seeing the wisdom in what Shaq has done??? I had to sit in every single class I did, take quizzes, do homework, write exams in front of a professor, and do labs in a lab environment...

How can you do a PhD by correspondence? I have cheated for 2 women and 1 man in my life; one woman whom I took classes for, the other I wrote all the papers for. The guy came from a French speaking West African country, was having a hell of a time with English, and the only way he got his As was that I wrote all his homework and papers at UT Arlington for him. The bitch is now an arrogant pharmacist in Houston, married to a white woman, driving a 2010 Mercedes Benz, and behaving as if he is the one who crossed the ocean in a single engine plane in 1927. I do not talk to the bitch.

Brother I feel u worked two jobs one full time and one part time. It took me ten years to get my bachelors degree.fukk the ones who get it paid for and then think that's an accomplishment. Love me some tyra but she didn't have it that bad.
