Berkshire Hathaway Inc’s Warren Buffett disclosed on Tuesday that he has stage 1 prostate cancer but said his condition “is not remotely life-threatening or even debilitating in any meaningful way.”

The news from the 81-year-old Oracle of Omaha is likely to intensify the already brewing debate about the succession plan at Berkshire Hathaway, a conglomerate that employs more than 270,000 people in more than 70 businesses around the world.

If there's anybody with enough cash to fight cancer with the best technology on the planet, it's Warren Buffett!

cancer took steve jobs out

He was already past stage one when he was diagnosed.

But still, I'm not suggesting you won't die from cancer because you're rich. That's certainly not true. I mean he has the cash to sample all those controversial and expensive techniques that the US is afraid to utilize with the regular public.

And the main reason for that is because he waited another year to seek alternative treatments that didn't require surgery before properly dealing with it.

That said, stage 1 isn't that bad. that type can typically be managed, long enough that he'll die of natural causes before it becomes a problem. The key thing with prostate cancer is to catch it early.

yep and at last minute wanted to get it dealt with after the alternative treatments were not successful.

co-sign.
prostate cancer ain't shit if it's caught early enough.
I'm sure his was caught early. Guys with money like Buffet get detailed health check ups at least 2 times a year.

I wouldn't be surprised if Buffet makes it to 100. The fact he made it to 81 tells you he was blessed with great genetics at birth. Couple that with his money and he should easily make it to 100.

Just looked it up. Stage 1 is a near 100% 5 year survival rate. It's easily survivable with proper management.

yeah jobs took it to the shamans right off the diagnosis and fucked w/the docs after that shit got on his ass extra hard, from what i understand.

EASY

This one is easy. He'll beat it and get over it. My grandfather was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1997. He beat it and was cured and lived another 16 years :smh:
