Just finished Lockdown and it was eh.

I can't believe they didn't put the strap on Storm. I like Roode as champ, I do but this was his moment just like Bound For Glory should have been Roode's. I don't want to hate on being unpredictable but sometimes you gotta pull the trigger.
They did their thing in the main event but I think they did the wrong finish especially when neither the tag titles, tv title, or KO titles changed hands.
Lethal Lockdown was fun but the finish was really slow until Garrett delivered the El Kabong.
Joe/Magnus vs MCMGs was well worked but, as I thought would happen, it was their first match and they haven't developed any chemistry yet. That's why I would have gone with one last match with Joe/Magnus and Crimson/Morgan. Those two teams had chemistry and it would have opened the door for MCMGs to get payback on Mexican America on ppv.
Velvet and Gail was okay.
The KO tag match was a waste of time. I love EY and ODB and Sarita and Rosita but having the KO tag titles on a man when they have a strict no man on woman contact makes it ridiculous and pointless.

I actually had no problem with Roode retaining. Storm looked strong here, but Roode is such a good heel champ that he should ride with it.

The only one that should have changed hands was the TV title. (unless they plan on putting it on the Pope). Devon just doesn't do it for me as a champion.

Garrett could give out $100 bills during his matches and he won't get over.

Joe/Magnus should have retained, IMO. Let them feud at house shows to work out the kinks. Also they should rehire Jesse Neal and reform Ink Inc. They need more tag teams.

Velvet and Gail was okay
I have no idea who Velvet is sucking off in the back (besides Sabin) but she's garbage as a singles competitor. I wouldn't reform the Beautiful People just yeat, but I'd find her an experienced tag partner ASAP.

Agreed. Although I love looking at Sarita and Rosita.

Any other time, I would agree. But this was Storm's night and with the rest of the card being so/so, they needed a big moment to close it out.

I don't want them to put Pope and Devon back together. I think Devon could be a good champ but he should have been cutting promos and working on tv as champ the last few weeks. We know he can talk, he was talking when Bubba was still a stuttering idiot.
See, if Storm wins, you can put Pope in with him. But there are plenty of babyfaces for Roode to feud with with Anderson and RVD back on tv.

Garrett could give out $!00 bills during his matches and he won't get over.

Not right now he can't. He's taken out his dad, now move him down the card ASAP. Let him work Xplosion and house shows and indy shows.
But I'll give him credit for taking a severe ass kicking.

I don't mind Joe/Magnus retaining but the idea of them working house shows to work out the kinks is for BEFORE they have a match at one of your "A" ppvs. I have no doubt these two teams, if they have more matches, will hae some kickass matches (that one was solid) but a steel cage match was way too soon.
They can't reform Ink Inc because Shannon Moore is in semiretirement to focus on his tattoo business (or something) but they definitely need more tag teams.

That might have been her best match in a while but yeah, she should go back to tag teams.

Agreed. Although I love looking at Sarita and Rosita.

Me too. That just came on way too late in the show. They should have done that on a pre-show for free.

Another thing

Crimson should have beat the fuck out of Matt Morgan. Once his foot was tied up, just destroy him. Go outside, win the match and come back and destroy him again. That's how you get him over as a heel and not just a guy people know they're supposed to boo. TNA has to do a better job of making their ppvs something you HAVE to buy to see something and not just good wrestling, especially when you're having good wrestling on free tv on Thursday night and Crimson beating a bloody, helpless Morgan would have helped with that.

The Rock Claims WrestleMania 28 Set All Time PPV Buy Record For WWE

See what he has to say…

- The Rock just posted the following on Twitter…

BREAKING NEWS: Wrestlemania 28 sets all time PPV buys & one day global gross record. #TeamBringItWorldwide THANK YOU!
Quote:
WWE Announces 1.3 Million Buys For WrestleMania 28

That’s what they say…

- WWE.com has announced that WrestleMania 28 did indeed set new records for pay-per-view buys and gross sales. The site reports that the show did 1.3 million pay-per-view buys with global gross sales in excess of $67 million, including the live event.

So Albert/Tensai is the Great Muta now?

I don't know why they didn't sign Muta instead of Albert. They could have built to a match with the Undertaker at next years Wrestlemania. They don't even have to call him Muta. Dude has several alter egos he could use.

I don't know what that means, but I've always wanted to see Liger and Muta go at it back when I was a kid

Kishin Liger is the "Evil" version of Jushin Liger. When Muta took off his mask, he revealed the face paint and (fake) tats on his body..that is Kishin Liger. Notice how his style changed when the mask came off. Shit got real.

He only did the Kishin alterego one other time:

Undertaker may have ended an era at WrestleMania 28, but don't think you've seen the last of him in a WWE ring. He's expected to be back for WrestleMania 29 and word is that he was in better shape after his match this year than he has been in previous years. 20-0 would have been a nice round number to end things on, but I don't think we're ready for WrestleMania without Undertaker just yet. Whether he continues the streak or it finally comes to an end, it's a major drawing card for WrestleMania that WWE hasn't run into the ground yet. Some say that WrestleMania the brand is what draws, but Undertaker's streak is a huge part of that brand. Not to mention that his matches have been the highlight of the show each of the last four years, and maybe even further back than that depending on how you rated his matches with Edge & Batista.

the"BIG CHANGE" coming to TNA that dixie carter alluded to..

- At tonight's Impact taping for this Thursday's episode, Hulk Hogan made his previously-reported big announcement on changes to the TV format. They are as follows:

* Impact Wrestling will be "Open Fight Night" once a month. On Open Fight Night, a talent from outside TNA gets a match to earn a roster spot. Three judges along with Hulk Hogan will decide if the talent gets a contract with TNA. Additionally, anyone on the TNA roster can challenge anyone else during Open Fight Night and that person must accept. This includes title matches.

* The TNA TV Title will be defended every week on TV.

Nah. It would be great for long time fans like us but we're in the minority. Albert's younger, healthier and bigger than Muta. If they're going to bring in a veteran for the Taker match, it's Sting or nobody at this point.

I saw this match years and years after the fact without knowing what was going to happen (just seeing "Muta vs Liger" on the dvd match listing was enough for me) and when Liger revealed the facepaint, I .

The Edge and Batista matches were great matches I thought and both in different ways.
Incidentally, I thought he should have lost one of those, particulary the Edge one. But looking back, and considering he's outlasted both of them, I'm over it.
He looked healthier this year than last. Last he was coming off a bad injury and a hip replacement but this year he had a whole year to heal and get into WrestleMania shape.

Finally with the TV title.
The "Open Fight Night" is an interesting concept. It's like a televised tryout. The last thing they did like this was with the X-Division and that got them Austin Aries and Zema Ion. But I wonder how long this will last. Anyone remember the Top 10 rankings?

Yeah it's about time they push the TV title on every televised event. I looked foward to WCW Saturday Night for the TV title defense.

Do you mean the top 10 rankings where Kurt Angle put himself at the bottom to defeat everyone ahead of him? I assumed that was just a story they came up with for Angles feud & Jarrett's.

That's the one. I remember thinking a Top 10 was a good idea but as soon as RVD got hurt and the Angle storyline was cut, they abandoned it.

The TV title was used to boost a lot of guys in the NWA, WCW, and ECW and it could be again in TNA. I thought they had figured it out with the AJ Styles-Douglas Williams matches. They can make the title valuable but they have to want to.

AJ & Douglas had some great back & fourth matches. It would be nice to see RVD get it and bring up how he held the ECW title for a year and he would try to duplicate it.

I wouldn't use Rob in that lower card position at this point. Devon is a good starting point. Let him finish his feud with Robbie E and then shoot the Robbies off as a midcard tag team. Williams is the guy who should be brought back in as the standard bearer for the TV title. There are a number of guys who could challenge and trade the title with, not including guys they could bring in for a few tv matches like Shannon Moore.

That's why TNA needs a "B" show like JCP had World Championship Wrestling, WCW had Thunder, WWFE has Smackdown, ECW had hardcore TV. I'll like to watch Xplosion if it was on in the U.S. Too much talent not being featured in 2 hrs. of TV.

I've been saying this for a LONG time. If they could get Xplosion on US TV they could make the TV Title the main belt on that show. Give Heyman a third of the roster and let him book Xplosion and it would be a quality show.

Yep.
Though World Championship Wrestling was JCP's A show.
With Spike losing UFC and giving TNA, their highest rated show, a two year extension I'm surprised they didn't push to get Xplosion on Spike somewhere, like Saturday morning.

They don't even need to dig up Heyman. They should be looking out for new booking talent as well as in ring talent. Bring back Tommy Dreamer and let him do it. That guy is a loyal soldier for whoever he works for. I've seen him at indy shows/dvds with his TNA t-shirt on.
From what I've seen and heard, they don't see the value in the current syndication universe and Bischoff believes that even stronger. I strongly disagree because syndication is a good way to market individually to each market, very similar to the way ROH is doing it now.
It doesn't even have to be a whole different show, just the highlights of angles from Impact! and a couple new matches with one of them being a main event featuring the TV title. How is that hard and what do they have to lose? That's a lot safer and has greater potential return than having Impact! and ppvs on the road.

Or give it to Raven. Heyman has gone on record and said that both Dreamer and Raven did a substantial amount of booking in the prime years of ECW.

Bubba Ray used to book all of 3D's angles and the tag division (when they had one), so they could give him a shot.
There are just too many ways to do this right.

 watch them try to work this into a angle w/ natalya(since it appears theyre feuding)

NoDQ.com > WWE > Lilian Garcia Explains Her Tripping Incident
Posted by Steve Carrier on 04/18/2012 at 02:45 PM

SmackDown ring announcer Lilian Garcia has had a little trouble keeping her balance at recent WWE shows, most recently during Tuesday's SmackDown taping at The O2 Arena in London, England. On this occasion, Garcia tripped over pyrotechnics equipment and stumbled to her knees while making her way ringside. WWE immediately released footage of her misfortune, which features a soundtrack of Michael Cole and Booker T providing the "play-by-play." In a exclusive WWE.com interview, Garcia addressed her recent off-kilter moments

"Well you know, we're in London and they say London Bridge is falling down (laughs), actually it was me falling down!" she says of her 'trip' overseas.

"I walked in and I was looking up at the crowd and I didn't see that they had the pyro tubes right down in the bottom and I just went right over it and tripped and fell," Garcia says. The SmackDown Diva then points to her bruised knee, adding, "If this is the worst thing that happens to me, I'm okay."

Garcia suffered similar misfortune at the March 13 SmackDown taping as her shoe broke while making her ring entrance. She is asked what she plans to do to avoid these mishaps in the future.

"I think I need to top it, is what I need to do. Everytime it gets better and better, cause that definitely topped the whole shoe breaking incident," she says. "What can I say, I like to make big entrances."
