If you saw the Inside the NBA last night you saw the section where they spoke about David Aldridge and his draft predictions. Charles was about to say something but they had to go to a break. Here is what Charles wanted to say.

http://content.usatoday.com/communi...iracy-theory-about-nba-lottery/1#.T4g119mvl2I

TNT's ever-opinionated analyst told ESPN 1000 in Chicago (via SportsRadioInterviews.com) that he will "be watching the draft lottery very closely, because I don't want no shenanigans."

Asked to expand on that suspicion, Barkley said:

"I'm going to be very leery if Anthony Davis ends up in Brooklyn. You know, I'm going to be very leery because I know the NBA has a lot riding on that new arena, especially if Deron Williams leaves New Jersey. They didn't get Dwight Howard. I'm going to be very leery if New Jersey gets that number one pick."

Added Barkley:

"You know, I go back to Patrick Ewing, so I believe in the conspiracy theories."

Charlotte figures to have the best chance to win the lottery, but the Nets have an iffy situation, and could wind up with two first-round picks, or none.

Remember this??? Watch the fourth envelope :lol:

Personally I don't think the NBA will rig or "fix" the draft.

they did with queen james

?? The Cavs were the worst team in the league that draft. They had statistically the best chance to get LeBron.

And if the records hold, the Nets won't see any picks. They are tied for 7th worst record.

The Wizards are going to fuck around and steal Davis from the Bobcats. Or even the Hornets.

you do know they won the 2001 draft and they also had the seventh worst record in the league. As long as houston make the playoffs the nets get a pick.

I don't think they will win the draft that would be too much

Whose pick do they get from Houston?

Your pick you gave away to Portland is Top 3 protected. That pick is currently the 7th pick; could go higher but statistically not in your favor. It is a lottery for a reason.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

sorry kobe is..plus they sold hella merchandise in dat state off his name..stern wants every team to sell merchandise or have great marketablity

Cleveland tanked the season to get 'Bron. I'm not mad, but karma is real and they found that out when 'Bron bounced to South Beach.

Davis? Overrated. Good look to whoever gets him.

Houston's own pick they received in the Terrence Williams trade

Of course I don't think the Nets get it though because they would just trade the pick.

I was just saying 7 place doesn't mean it can't happen. the last time they won the lottery they had the seventh worst record

Just looked at the past draft results since 2005, the 6th and the 5th worst record have won the lottery twice in that span. The worst ranked team hasn't won the lottery since Orlando picked Dwight #1 in 2004.

Statistically, you have to presume that it will normalize eventually, but its not looking good for the Bobcats. Perhaps the Nets have a shot, but the last time a 7th worst record won the draft was those Nets in 2000.

Fucking Spurs were the 3rd worst team in '87 and '97 and hit two huge home runs... :smh:

I hope my Knicks eventually start keeping their picks

Let the 2013 Shabazz Muhammed sweepstakes begin!

Dude made sure that fourth envelope hit the side so it was bent

I don't think the Nets will get it because they would just trade it to get a proven player hoping to keep Deron but there is no one out there

somebody explain the deal with the 4th envelope

Is that the Knicks Ewing draft?

It was rumored that the Knicks' envelope was frozen cold so that when Stern raffled all he had to do was pick the coldest envelope.

I'm assuming flipping the envelope was part of that "legend"

he drops all the other envelopes in there regularly but the 4th one. He makes sure it hits the side so it will have a dent so he can notice which one is the one he wants to pick.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
^^this

and if u notice on the video of the draft, he specifically went for the one w/ the dent in it

The Cavs spent that entire previous season giving away any talent they had and firing coaches just so they could get LeBron James.

why rig it for the Nets. I know if they go into BK with no Deron Williams that franchise is dead before one game

NBA can't afford for that team to suck or have no talent...I was around the arena yesterday it looks pretty much done...no way they can afford to have nothing in that arena

Okay I get that thing is this.

Deron has told the Nets and the whole world. The only way the Nets can keep him if they make a trade on draft night.

Not during free agency, not training camp but the draft.

Now imagine you give the Nets the number 1 pick. Now a smart man would keep the pick but the Nets will trade it and he is the killer unless you are getting Dwight, LaMarcus or Kevin Love Dwill could still leave.

The Nets panic with the Gerald Wallace trade. Give them the number pick they will panic again.

Nets have been on panic mode for a while almost all their acquisitions was to keep Deron happy...it won't work tho w/o another all star
