HOLY SHIT!!!

This is wild as hell, but with Bischoff running the show and Hogan just being the masthead does not surprise me one bit.

Pushing Garrett is the most asinine thing i have ever watched happen in TNA.
Everybody knows daddy's pulling the strings in this one and everything else.

Damn i miss Crockett.

Dixie has no idea what to do anymore and just let the asylum run wild with Pritchard, Hogan and definitely Bischoff.

He seems like a good enough kid and he's got something but he's clearly not ready for this kind of exposure especially when you want to send guys with a ton more experience to OVW for training and RVD is sitting at home for weeks with on storyline.

This is why the lack of a territory system hurt wrestling. They could send Garrett to a different part of the country and work with different styles to get better. Now he's not Erik Watts bad, but he's not ready for a singles push.

Another thing that they don't do is make a tag team with a veteran wrestler and an up and coming wrestler so they can learn the business.

But they can still do it with the indies, like they're doing with OVW. They wanted to send Jesse Neal to OVW, that's why he quit. He figured he earned his spot on the main roster and he didn't want to move to Kentucky. They cut Murphy (known in Southern indies as Mikael Judas), saying he needed more seasoning. I used to watch him and Gunner (Phil Shatter) every two weeks for NWA Charlotte and he was the better of the two. In fact, Shatter/Gunner (who had improved a lot) was the lesser of the three guys in their faction. So when they do that kind of stuff but give all this time to a very green guy like Garrett, they hurt TNA and they hurt Garrett. Erik Watts wasn't very good but he got a lot better later but the damage was already done.

His last name hurts him more than anything. Throw on a mask and go overseas or to Mexico and ply your trade for a year or so. THEN come back. This is why I liked what MVP did. He wanted to expand his game so he learned a whole new style over in Japan.

As far as tag team wrestling goes, it pisses me off that both the WWE and TNA have all these wrestlers sitting around not doing anything when they could be paired up and made into tag teams. TNA does it to make room for Sting or Hogan on TV, but TBH the WWE has at minimum 3 times the television time TNA does and should take wrestlers and put them together and put them on TV.

 I thought when they did the injury angle with Gunner, that was the time to take him off tv and send him around to learn. That's what Rick Steamboat did with his son before he went to WWE developmental. He let George South train him. He sent him to Harley Race's school. He let him work a lot of indies. Then he sent him to Japan to train there. If Garrett's serious, he needs to get away from his dad and any company his dad works for and make his own name.

I'm a tag team wrestling fanatic and this is almost as bad as any time recently. I thought TNA rushed ending the Morgan/Crimson tag team. Their matches with Samoa Joe and Magnus have been really good and stiff. Instead of rushing the MachineGuns into a title shot, they should have let Morgan/Crimson and Joe/Magnus have a cage finale at Lockdown and then split Morgan/Crimson.
TNA is bad but WWE having only one real tag team is a damn shame. They have 4 hours of tv, plus NXT and they can't put together some guys? They don't have to hire a single new person, just take some guys, like Hawkins and Reks, and make them a tag team.

TNA does seem to believe in the "young guy/veteran" teams, they had Ink Inc and The British Invasion, but they just aren't doing it now and it's not a coincidence that they stopped pushing tag teams when Bischoff got there.
I hope they have the good sense to make Daniels and Kazarian a real team. What else are they doing with them?

Tag team wrestling is really a lost art. I think the WWE cannot make money off of tag teams so they stick to single wrestlers.

That's what they think exactly but if they did it right, they could make money. How is it Mid South, Crockett, the AWA, ECW, and every other company, including them, TNA and ROH, can make money off tag teams but they can't? Are they making any money off Tyson Kidd or Derrick Bateman or Justin Gabriel now?

Just getting started watching Impact! from last night and after the Hogan stuff, the show started strong with a good match between Angle and Hardy and the Bully Ray-Austin Aries fight. I think they're making a mistake giving away Roode vs Anderson for the first time, though.

I don't know what is sadder. That Ric Flair is holding a cheap WWE commemorative version of the Big Gold Belt or that he doesn't even have the real NWA version anymore.

I'd prefer WWE have the NWA belt and display it than some random company he owes money to or someone that buys it from Highspots.

I hate, HATE, that Hogan has the original Big Gold Belt. If he had any shred of integrity, he would give it to Flair.

I have noticed though that Flair seems to be getting more endorsements and mainstream recognition since he retired than he ever did as a wrestler in the NWA, WCW, or WWE/F.

Why in the hell does Hogan have it? Man if I had the means I'd buy it and give it back to Flair crying like a woman with joy while doing so.

I would too. You know Hulk needs the money.

I don't know how he has it since Booker T was WCW champ when it shut down. It's possible he's had it all along and Booker, DDP, Scott Steiner all had a replica belt and not the original.

Man that irritates the shit outta me. Just when I was softening up on Hogan his jackass antics make me despise him again.

 Hogan has the original big gold belt

What is the story behind that? I always naturally assumed that Flair ended up with it.

Hawkins and Reks are a tag team on NXT and they've done nothing with them. They put together Gabriel and Kidd for the Mania preshow with nothing previous and they've wasted the Usos who should have had a title run at this point. And that still leaves out guys like Trent Barretta and Johnny Curtis who can go but are woefully underutilized as well as FCW guys like the Rotundos(Bo and Husky Harris). I still wonder if The Kings of Wrestling(now known as Antonio Cesaro and Kassius Ohno) will be brought up together.

They should be and tag team wrestling along with the Knockouts were calling cards that they had over the WWE and as soon as Bischoff and Hogan came in that went down the toilet. For one they should get rid of Mexican America and bring back LAX.

It is extremely hard to escape the shadow of a famous father. I never liked Orton, but he did a good job of escaping the jinx. Cody did as well to a lesser extent. I never would have revealed Garrett as Bischoff's son. It will kill his career from here on.

Then this match with (IMO) the greatest tag team of all time against the greeter at Target and the GM of RAW should make you happy. There is nothing better than the southern tag team wrestling formula.

Truth & Clay Dance For WWE OFFICIALS
Date Added: April 06, 2012
Story By: Steve Carrier
- WWE had a business meeting on March 31st in Miami with major executives. It was described as a "kool-aid meeting" where they were pushing social media. R-Truth and Brodus Clay were brought in to dance.

:hmm:

Am I the only one that thinks that Hawk Eye's and Thor's costume looks better on the porn cover than the actual move poster.

Hollywood seems to have something against putting people in masks. Like we're going to forget the big named actor underneath it.

Gotdammit, they read movie news and rumors. They put Spider-Man in the parody after the rumor of him having a cameo in The Avengers.

Tonights smackdown is wack.

I thought it was alright. Not great, but a good follow up on the storylines coming out of Mania and it gave Sheamus his first challenger. I don't like Daniel Bryan not immediately having a feud to go into.

The word is already out that they're splitting up the KOW.
I didn't even know Barretta was still working there. He's a good kid with a lot of potential but I guess they don't see it.

With Russo gone, I think we're in the last days of Mexican America. They should have never fired Homicide in the first place and put him and Hernandez together back then.
There are a lot of established tag teams on the indy circuit right now they could bring in to work with MCMG and Joe and Magnus.

Flair = NWA Belt
Sammartino = WWWF Belt

For most of them, the best way to do it is to not work where they're fathers work or made their name. For guys like Orton or the Rock, they're fathers were big WWF names years and years ago.
The only hope for Garrett is to drop that last name and switch his look up and get off tv. Just disappear like Jesse Neal did after his first angle with Bubba Ray and Rhino. Got get a mohawk and some tats.

:lol::yes:
He was manager at Target, thank you. And he's still a former ECW World champion when that meant something.
The MX had good matches with everyone. I hate that Crockett shitten Tully and Arn on the payoffs and they quit just as their feud with the MX got started.

It was always said Vince Mcmahon has the original big gold from Flair's first run in WWF.

No. When Ric left WCW, he took that belt with him but they sued to get it back and used it when they hooked back up with the NWA and it was the NWA World title and then the WCW International World title (stupid name).
It became the WCW title again when Flair beat Sting in a unification match.

One of the problems is that he has "Bischoff" tatted on his chest. He should have stayed as a ref, tbh.

That's a problem but he can always wear a bodysuit like MVP.

I'm not knocking Shane for finding gainful employment outside the business. Better that, than him hanging on and embarassing himself. Shit, Baby Doll is a security officer at a Wal Mart in Wilmington (or Fayetteville, somewhere on the NC coast).

Oh, neither am I. But Shane killed his own career. He was not well liked backstage and he was not all that great of a wrestler. All he has is ECW. I would have thought he could have been a decent commentator somewhere.
