That had to be one of the worst crowds i've ever witnessed:smh: They had no idea how to respond to any of the wrestlers, it seemed like every star got some boos and the final segment would've been so much better if they would've had a better crowd. I felt like the last segment wasn't a battle of who's better on the mic, it was more of each one stating their case. Cena was more serious(aside from stealing Rock's line)and delivered his case well, but Rock dropping the "I ain't a goddamn visitor" & "I helped build this house/office you're standing in" line really drove home the point. Having said all that though still doesn't change the fact that Atlanta sucked tonight, Punk might've got the biggest reaction and even that was tame:smh:

I remember hearing boos but never to the level of Cena, what Cena gets is really unworldly because he visits sick children(something Rock did throughout his career & to this day)and he salutes the troops yet people want him dead(exaggerated of course).

I think Cena gets booed in a totally different way and it is bigger but he's not as protected as Hogan was.

The people who say they want him to turn heel because they're sick of him trip me out, because what do they think is going to happen when he becomes heel? He's going to dominate a lot more.

I know. If/when they turn him, he's going to have to dominate for a while to get his turn over. If they think Mark Henry was dominant last year, they'll make a heel Cena the new Big Van Vader for real.

 But Bret has always been one of Rocks biggest supporters(in part because of how HBK/HHH tried to bury him)so he's really having some fun with him here.

Really good article from a former writer, he basically confirms Vince is completely out of touch and can't handle change.

Yeah, I know he was having some fun but he still meant it. If you and I knew Rock was doing it wrong (Natalya does it better), you know Bret's just been :smh: the whole time.

I think Cena gets booed in a totally different way and it is bigger but he's not as protected as Hogan was.

They sugarcoat Cena's receptions with the "mixed reaction" line, but you're right because they never acknowledged Hogan's.

Ugh even as a kid i knew i had already seen enough Vader:lol:

Yeah, I know he was having some fun but he still meant it. If you and I knew Rock was doing it wrong (Natalya does it better), you know Bret's just been :smh: the whole time.

Of course he meant it and im glad someone finally did, Dean Ambrose tweeted about it but at that point it's like Bret already said it so no need for everyone to comment:lol:

If rock loses, its the worst thing for wrestling in this day& age

Rock is probably going to win because they know that unless there is some grand turn for Cena, it would be pointless to have him win. When they did Hogan/Rock that match could've gone either way and neither man would've lost a thing, and here if Cena loses then so what people won't change their opinion but if he wins then get ready for a shit storm of hate.

Ugh even as a kid i knew i had already seen enough Vader:lol:

Hey, I will tolerate no badmouthing on Vader, especially on his WCW run before he got shafted by Hogan. Dude was incredible and, unlike most big men, could legitimately work with anyone and have a good match.

:lol:Yeah, that's the final word on that move. I always liked Sting's better but after that knee injury, he never could slap it on the same.

I agree but if they do it right, there won't be such outrage, like when they turned the crowd in Toronto between Rock and Hogan. If they go out and have a good match( seeing who's involved, I expect at least three Rock Bottoms and two AAs), they can win people over for Cena. Not on the internet but WWE doesn't give two shits about "internet fans" anyway.

Just getting to the end of Raw (haven't finished the final segment yet) and I don't have a problem with the crowd. They weren't given much to pop about and acted accordingly.
Commentary was horrible as expected but with Booker being the final man on Team Teddy, I think that was the spot for Shaquille O'Neal.
It just hit me how they've devalued their World/WWE titles. Look at all the guys in that 12 man match who have been WWE/World champion and they're all midcarders.

Predictions

Orton over Kane but it should be good

Drew McIntyre and Miz on Team Johnny should mean TJ loses since both of those guys are on bad losing streaks but Vince likes the heel GM gimmick so I got TJ winning. I would like, and hold out hope, that they try something new and have Team Teddy win.

Sheamus over Bryan, also should be good and a good payback for guys who were in the dark match last year.

Punk over Jericho maybe. Should be the best match

Taker over HHH, the only match that might be better than Punk/Jericho

Rock over Cena, should also be good but celebrities always win in WWE/F. If this was a pro wrestling company, Cena would win but it's not, so he won't.

Rock has stated that he's gonna be at Summerslam this year. That right there say's he's most likely going over at Mania for a rematch in the summer. Guess were gonna get a 5 month build up for their rematch. Cena will probably put the title on the line to sweeten their rematch.

Could be but it would waste the whole "Once In a Lifetime" theme to do it in less than 6 months. But it's WWE and logical thinking and thinking they use it will trip you up every time.

Bam Bam Bigelow > Vader:yes:

Which sounds better Sharpshooter or Scorpion Death Lock? I vote S.D.L.

I put it more along the lines of ONS 06 to a lesser degree, there was no way Cena could win them over and i expect the same at Mania.

Yeah but crowds make a huge difference in watching the show. After reading a live report from a different site it seems as though the WWE might have a problem with their audio, because the person who went said the crowd was live throughout the whole final segment.

As for my predictions

Orton over Kane:yawn:

Team Teddy over Team Ace:hmm:

Sheamus over Daniel Bryan:yes:

K2 & Menounos over B.T & Eve:hmm: although M&M is a real fan(snooki:hmm:)

Rhodes over Show:cool:

Punk over Jericho:yes: could be a 5 star classic

Taker over HHH:dance: Should tear the house down but HHH can't be the one to end the streak:smh: and this has to go on in the middle of the show.

Rock over Cena:dance: But they have done a great job at keeping people guessing.

On paper this could be a damn good Mania but if Vince does what's expected(read the link i posted on the previous page)then i could see this being a average Mania.

Bam Bam Bigelow > Vader:yes:

I don't know. I think Vader was fortunate to get booked by Ole Anderson and Bill Watts so we got to see him get a real push while Bam Bam didn't get one until he got with Paul Heyman in ECW.
Damn you for making me even think about this choice d, but I still have to go with Vader. Bam Bam was the shit but Vader was special.

Which sounds better Sharpshooter or Scorpion Death Lock? I vote S.D.L.

I agree. When Bret started using the Sharpshooter, I was hating, saying he was biting Sting but I do think he's the master of it.

I put it more along the lines of ONS 06 to a lesser degree, there was no way Cena could win them over and i expect the same at Mania.

The Mania crowd in Miami is a different animal than the ONS crowd in the Hammerstein. If Rock and Cena are the masters they think they are, they can turn enough of the crowd (Cena will never get 100% but no one does) to be respectable.

Yeah but crowds make a huge difference in watching the show. After reading a live report from a different site it seems as though the WWE might have a problem with their audio, because the person who went said the crowd was live throughout the whole final segment.

I agree, a hot crowd can make a decent show good and a good show great (see Hogan's matches with Sid and Rock). But you have to give them something to make them hot.
WWE having a mic problem is something a smaller company like TNA or ROH should be going through (and they do).

As for my predictions

Orton over Kane:yawn:

Team Teddy over Team Ace:hmm:

Sheamus over Daniel Bryan:yes:

K2 & Menounos over B.T & Eve:hmm: although M&M is a real fan(snooki:hmm:)

I forgot about the Divas match (who really cares? KK's team will win) and I'm on the fence about the Cody-Show match. Cody should but the way it's been booked, Show should win and finally have his WM moment. Cody can get his payback and the title back at the next ppv.
HHH absolutely can not be the guy who ends The Streak, the same thing I've been saying for three years when Taker wrestled Michaels twice: a veteran can't be the one to end it, especially one who's on the way out his damn self.

And last night's was Cena's best promo and the one he should have done a long time ago. Between him and Rock, they were very good. If it had all best this and not the other silly shit, this would have been an excellent build.
I think Cena (or someone in WWE or close to him) has seen the criticism of his always smiling when he's supposed to be serious and he addressed it on the sly.

btw
I am looking forward to the many DGUSA and ROH shows this weekend, including the Dragon Gate show that's only 1.99.

Vader was more recognized by the mainstream than BB, but when it came to wrestling a lot of people have complained about Vader being too stiff but no one ever complained about BB.

I agree. When Bret started using the Sharpshooter, I was hating, saying he was biting Sting but I do think he's the master of it.

Bret made it a point to make it his finisher whereas Sting also had the Scorpion Death Drop as a finisher.

Yeah Hogan vs Rock wasn't a technical classic but it was still a 5 star Wrestlemania classic. As for the audio i posted the video of Rock's promo from last week where it seemed like he got a decent reaction, but live he got a monstrous reaction throughout the entire promo that WWE fucked up.I also apologies to Philly because they did pop when he did the "Bang Bang" shout out to Foley.

HHH absolutely can not be the guy who ends The Streak, the same thing I've been saying for three years when Taker wrestled Michaels twice: a veteran can't be the one to end it, especially one who's on the way out his damn self.

Barrett Barrett Barrett:yes: Punk blew his chances when he decided to bow up to Taker a few years ago behind the scenes.

These 2 are just greatness :lol:at 4:40 "I just shaved it"

so the tag titles wont be defended I see...at this point they need to just scrap the belts..and another squash divas tag match ? we all know who's going to win...Im seriously debating not getting it, but if I'm at work I wont have to worry about deciding

I have a giant cpu monitor so streaming it will fell like i actually ordered it:lol: But im streaming and if it's good im downloading then burning onto a dvd:yes:

Vader was more recognized by the mainstream than BB, but when it came to wrestling a lot of people have complained about Vader being too stiff but no one ever complained about BB.

I don't know about more recognized. BB wrestled in WWF when it was still a monster and has headlined a Mania. He just never got a big push in WWF, Crockett, or WCW.
Vader was stiff as shit but that's how he was trained, no different than Hansen and Brody, guys who helped him develop. But the answer, like every guy that works like that, was to stiff him back.

Bret made it a point to make it his finisher whereas Sting also had the Scorpion Death Drop as a finisher.

And don't forget, Sting was deadly with a roll up.

That type of shit I don't understand them fucking up on.

Barrett Barrett Barrett:yes: Punk blew his chances when he decided to bow up to Taker a few years ago behind the scenes.

YES! YES! YES! Finally someone else that believes in the Barrett Barrage:D.
I would have liked Drew until he didn't beat up his wife in a fistfight and got his "Chosen One" push killed.

I'm surprised they couldn't sneak the tag champs in that 12 man match, especially once they decided not to put in Christian and Alberto. So I guess they get a dark match. Against who, I can't call it.

I have a giant cpu monitor so streaming it will fell like i actually ordered it:lol: But im streaming and if it's good im downloading then burning onto a dvd:yes:

I'll probably catch it at a sports bar. An excuse to take my wife out on a Sunday.

That is probably my least favorite move, the only time i let it slide was Steamboat/Savage.

YES! YES! YES! Finally someone else that believes in the Barrett Barrage:D.

I believe Barrett is the one who can make it work, as long as he cuts his hair and gets rid of that AWFUL entrance music:smh:

I'll probably catch it at a sports bar. An excuse to take my wife out on a Sunday.

How romantic a bunch of drunk dudes cursing at Cena the entire time:lol:

WOW

If this is true, it lends itself to a theory I've always had that HHH was jealous of the Rock:

Former WWE Writer Says Triple H Is Likely Behind Resentment of The Rock
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 03.27.2012

Seth Mates says Rock has held back against Cena...

- Former WWE creative team member Seth Mates recently spoke about the resentment some WWE talent has for the Rock's return and more. Check out the highlights:

On backstage resentment of the Rock: "The resentment towards Rock always struck me as a little bit funny. Because the thing about Rock is that people like are jealous of Rock not for stealing the spot but for being one of the guys who got out. You know he made it. He made it in a big way. He made a ton of money. And then he had an exit plan. And now he can come back and work when he wants. And it's not like Rock is coming back and working with a guy who – he's coming back to help make John Cena bigger than Cena ever was. He's coming back to work with a guy who works house shows and who works Raw. You know. He's coming back and he's bringing mainstream attention. I can't speak to the locker room leader this and whatever. I just know that wrestlers like to talk, wrestlers like to stir the pot, wrestlers like to cause trouble. Not a knock on them. Everybody does in every profession. You know every job I've ever had people talk you know what about other people in the room. Rock's not stealing anybody's spot. Rock is brining a lot of eyeballs.

On Triple H's jealousy driving the resentment: "I know that a lot of the stuff that Cena has said about Rock and his feelings towards Rock sound like something that would be coming directly from, you know Mr. Helmsley and his view. Because, again, as I said, I always sensed some insecurities as related to Rock and to [Steve] Austin and how, again, in my mind and perception, he never was at that level. And so he wanted to position himself as, well, I'm as good, if not better. Which I don't know that he has done that."

On the Rock holding back in his promos against John Cena: "Rock has one massive piece of ammo to use on Cena. Rock could argue that unlike other superstars, he left the business still on top and didn't feel the need to hang around and take other guy's spots. Rock could argue that by his leaving when he did it gave the opportunity for someone like Cena to be showcased. If Rock we were really selfish and didn't respect the business, he would have hung around for more paydays and taken up a lot more main event spots, much like others who we all know. It was almost exactly around the time that Rock left that Cena started to take off. The point right here, that point right there would silence Cena and his backers. Food for thought. So, yeah, the Trish/Melina thing, and then – an interesting way. I hadn't thought about looking at it that way. But Rock could go, you know had I stuck around, John, you would not have emerged when you did because you would have never taken my spot."

Hey, I will tolerate no badmouthing on Vader, especially on his WCW run before he got shafted by Hogan. Dude was incredible and, unlike most big men, could legitimately work with anyone and have a good match.

This match is infamous. Hansen hits Vader in the eye and (allegdly) his eye popped out. Vader (allegedly) pushed it back in the socket and keeps wrestling.

Bam Bam Bigelow > Vader:yes:

I really liked Bam Bam but Vader was better. For some reason I enjoyed his promos more as well as his in ring work. Besides Vader at one point was the man while Bigelow even considering his World Title reign was best served as "the muscle" of the Triple Threat and was never really even the top heel anywhere.

I liked Vader but i always liked Bam Bam more. My views on certain wrestlers were sometimes influenced by video games as well, i liked playing as Vader on "In Your House" but Bam Bam was deadly on "WrestleMania: The Arcade Game"

Vader was my dude back in the day true freak of nature, hated how he got shit on in WWF. Here's a match with him and Bigelow.

Bam Bam Bigelow > Vader:yes:

liked vader's theme music..sounded like itd be the theme to some low-budget
80s action show

As for my predictions

.

i knid of get the feeling that HBK will somehow cost Hunter the match..by superkicking him when he about to go for the Pedigree

I believe Ahmed Johnson did:yes:

I liked Ahmed Johnson and he was set to be the first Black WWF champ but he wasn't just stiff but he was reckless as hell.

That is probably my least favorite move, the only time i let it slide was Steamboat/Savage.

I like a good, well done, surprise roll up. It pushes the idea that a wrestler has to pay attention at all times or "get caught".

They can't decide if they want the words to be louder or the crowd:smh:(always choose crowd)

Always.

I believe Barrett is the one who can make it work, as long as he cuts his hair and gets rid of that AWFUL entrance music:smh:

I like him as/is, except he can lose the jacket.
Don't let them mess with someone else's hair, you could end up with his hair looking as messed up as Jack Swagger's hair is now.

How romantic a bunch of drunk dudes cursing at Cena the entire time:lol:

You know it.

This match is infamous. Hansen hits Vader in the eye and (allegdly) his eye popped out. Vader (allegedly) pushed it back in the socket and keeps wrestling.

They both talk about it in interviews and Hansen's book. His eye swoll shut and he kept on working and they didn't ease up a bit. Three of the hardest hitting matches you will ever see.

i knid of get the feeling that HBK will somehow cost Hunter the match..by superkicking him when he about to go for the Pedigree

And since he's not coming back to wrestle for HHH to get revenge, that ending would suck.

WWE-TNA-FLAIR UPDATE
by Mike Johnson @ 6:34 PM on 3/27/2012

The deal between WWE and TNA for Ric Flair to attend this Saturday's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony was completed just yesterday, according to a WWE source.
I was told that the issue was not Flair attending but Flair as a contracted TNA talent appearing on WWE broadcast of the Wrestlemania PPV, Hall of Fame highlights on subsequent WWE broadcasts and the DVD release.

Flair attended last year's Hall of Fame ceremony but was not specifically shown or focused upon during the broadcast or DVD release.

The WWE source was not privy to what the negotiations entailed or whether TNA would be mentioned on the Hall of Fame broadcast. There will be no TNA representatives or officials at the Hall of Fame itself

If he doesn't get to mention TNA in some form, he should not get on the stage or at least not speak.

Bam Bam Bigelow > Vader:yes:

I'm biased because as much as I like Vader I've met and hung out with Bam Bam. Dude came around every year to our wrestling camps in Jersey. That being said as big as Bam Bam was he was light on his feet. and was a good hand in the ring. Vader wrestled stiff.

As for my predictions

I predict that the Rock will win, but Cena will beat the shit out of him in his hometown to gain Heel status.

It's the only way for him now.

It would work in the reverse as well. Cena has to earn people's respect, those with any shred of an open mind, by working his ass off and taking bumps and a serious asskicking.

I predict that the Rock will win, but Cena will beat the shit out of him in his hometown to gain Heel status.

It's the only way for him now.

Like I said before, if he snaps he should go after ALL the wrestlers that left to do other things. He could get a rematch with the Rock and then a match with Brock and then a Wrestlemania match with Austin next year.

Squeeze in some interaction with Piper, HBK (and maybe Hogan) and you have a good angle to run with for the year.

Flair has shitted all over his retirement. Now he just look like a tired old man in TNA. He needs the money so he just be a manager.

That's wrestling. No one stays retired until they absolutely can't wrestle anymore and then they take a couple more matches. Shawn Michaels is looking like the only exception to the rule so far.
TNA has done a better job of making him a manager but it seems like they don't want to invest in him fully so they don't stick him with a young guy who needs him like Gunner.

People hate Cena because he's basically this Superman gimmick. They know he's going to win a big match or that if he's about to lose a match is because the other guy will cheat or somebody else will interfere in the match.

They need to put him against somebody who will consistently kick his ass, and kick his ass clean.

Cena needs to lose at WM, that loss will be on his mind for weeks, maybe months because he really needed that win, that loss will affect his confidence and performance which lead to more losses to matches he was supposed to win. Somebody takes advantage of this, maybe Miz or Wade Barrett (maybe let them both do it, one right after the other) and keeps beating him clean shooting them up to main event status. Keep that going until Summerslam when he faces the Rock again, then when he beats the Rock, it will be a big deal.

He doesn't need to turn heel, half the people already want to see him lose. He needs a losing streak.
