Forte was moving someone else's weight unbeknownst to him, not his own and was finally pardoned for that reason basically. Musicians Carly Simon and her son Ben Taylor tried fight for his freedom before the sentence. Then Forte received help from with Sen. Hatch to be one of the 16 people Bush would pardon. It's not that hard to plainly believe when you know more about the story.
It implies that possibly one group of people is making these clips to distract people from the real concerns.
