Mayweather Not Legally Capable To Move From May 5 Date

Karen Winckler, the attorney for WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., and the boxer's adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, advised BoxingScene.com that Mayweather is "not legally" capable of rescheduling his planned return on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather has "contractual agreements" in place with several companies, which obligate Mayweather to fight on the planned May date.

Additionally, Winckler advised BoxingScene about the existing agreement with the Clark County Judicial Court, which also directs Mayweather to fight on May 5th. On January 6th, Mayweather was scheduled to begin serving a 90-day sentence for a domestic battery charge. The judge, per the request of Mayweather and Winckler, delayed the start of his sentence to June 1 - in order to allow Mayweather to fight on May 5 at the MGM.

"[Floyd] has contractual obligations to fight on May 5th. The MGM Grand wants him to fight on May 5th. That's Cinco De Mayo weekend and that's a very big weekend for the MGM and they want him to fight on that date," Winckler told BoxingScene.com

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, along with WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, are trying to get Mayweather to fight them at the end of May in a specially designed outdoor venue on the Las Vegas strip.

Both Ellerbe and Winckler made it clear - there is no chance of Mayweather moving from already scheduled May 5th date.

"We have a legal commitment and we are not going to disrespect the judicial system. Floyd is going to fight on May 5th at the MGM Grand," Ellerbe said.

Pac made a 10 million penalty on weight first which is unheard of but it doesn't get repeated over and over again because it didn't hold up the fight... one might ask why cause Floyd agreed. Pac created deadlines and dropped every excuse in the world for a drug testing demand that he now says he agrees to... so all that shit that stopped the fight for two years was buuuullllllllsssssshiiiiiiitttttttt. Even the bullshit vacationing, no negotiations stance from Floyd awhile ago can't be used against him when it came out that Pac lied about agreeing to the testing so what were they negotiating. Shit most of that came from Arum and it is hard to believe that any of that shit happened anyway, but if it did they walked away from a compromise to come back to the table and demand that same compromise, and why the fuck do you need a compromise on drug testing . All this shit now is more clear cut bullshit and excuses as to why the fight can't happen. Ever day the story changes from Arum and you can see the shit happening with all of his fighters. He doesn't want to put them out there to fight real fights.

I will agree to all of this. They should have fought in 2009, but the reality is if they fought then people would just say Pac is a smaller boxer instead of focusing on his skills and attributes. In some twist way, the dumbfucks out there had to see him beat up on Margarito to give up that excuse. Just like they had to see Marquez school Pac to understand that Marquez isn't some bullshit fighter and that what Floyd did in their fight was actually special. The hype is still there for a lot of people, but reality has set in also... Pac isn't what he was thought to be.

I know Mayweather is the truth based on his skills and this whole anti-Floyd campaign has a lot of motherfuckers confused about Floyd's talents as a boxer even when they see the shit themselves.
