the wwe must like making mockeries of big men who can talk. They turn matt morgan into a stuttering idiot and now make brodus clay a dancing fool.

with him cutting a promo like that you would figure when he come back he would be a force of nature, just destroying anyone in his way....not being repackaged as ll cool j big brother

The other chick dancing wasn't Alicia Fox's sister it was the other black girl from the last season of Tough Enough Ms. my favorite match of all-time was Melina vs Alicia Fox also known as Cameron Lynn.

I thought the "Alicia Fox vs Melina" chick was her sister. I couldn't think of another reason for her to say that.
That video is horrible. Naomi, the most athletic of all the NXT Divas, is stuck in a horribly stereotypical role while lesser chicks like almost the entire Diva roster are actually wrestling on tv.:smh:

:lol::lol::lol:
Punk mentions ice cream bars and nothing happens.
Rock calls Cena a Fruity Pebble and puts money in his pocket.

Fruity Pebbles is smart, the ice cream folks aren't.

I keep saying those i.c.b in todays society would not be big sellers unless Cena is the pitchman.

I don't like the gimmick. I expected more for Clay, but if he can get it over, all power to him. Plus, if Naomi and Cameron are gonna bring out those asses every week, I can't be too mad.

 I agree. He's in Hulk's place as the champ that appeals to a very young audience. If he was following Hulk and Warrior instead of Austin and Rock, he would probably have a different response.

He'll get over, the problem is long term. Rikishi got over but he never got to show his full potential unlike Umaga, who was playing a more stereotypical character but got to work main events with Cena, Jeff Hardy, and HHH.

Say what you will Clay's debut, but everybody is still talking about it. On the other hand, I've barely seen anything on Jericho week 2. WTF are they doing with that and more importantly, when are they going to do it? After the Royal Rumble maybe? :dunno:

Man the only thing I can think of with Braodus is that this is some sort of gimmick/storyline to where he's fed up with this bullshit and goes on a killing spree. That shit was so over the top I kept waiting for beat one of those writers ass on camera or something. That shit was terrible. He came out there like Heavy D and the Boys and shit. And then he was acting all gay during the match.

I think it's pretty obvious they are setting him up to go off on management sometime down the line...at least I HOPE that's what the plan is.

Hold on, the Fink is the announcer for FCW???
Why the hell don't they have in the WWE or at least have him at the PPVs doing the ring intros.

Fink is old. He probably likes the weather down in Florida.
Not to mention that he's a known legend that is surrounding himself with a bunch of young 20 something chicks in FCW who are trying to find a 'opening' into the business.

I see what you did there.........he's doing what Arn Anderson did in the late 90's WCW ;)

Or what Lawler does now.

In other news it appears that Yokozuna will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year as well.

That's what I heard. Very deserving. The first heel to get a good run with the World title since Superstar Graham.

I'm wondering, coming off the heels of several good Impact! episodes but a poorly booked ppv, how TNA does tonight.

And

Is anyone else hoping Mark Henry works the announce table again on SD this week? He was almost as good as Punk when he was on Raw. That ninja threatened Cole and Matthews.

More people need to threaten Cole. The only ones so far to really get in Cole's face for all the shit he talks have been Henry last week and Daniel Bryan. He's only an announcer and should be treated as one not as somebody who can't be touched. That ended with the anonymous GM.

NoDQ.com - Jericho's Storyline,
Posted by Steve Carrier on 01/12/2012 at 10:11 AM

- As noted before, WWE officials have had talks about Chris Jericho winning the Royal Rumble this year. There was an idea suggested this past weekend where Jericho won't speak on RAW until after the Rumble. This would see Jericho give his big victory speech, speak for the first time since returning and likely call out WWE Champion CM Punk for WrestleMania 28.

TNA was pretty decent tonight but the "Eric Young Comedy Act" has officially expired.

Henry was great on commentary and him threating Cole & Matthews was funny because when he makes threats it's more legitimate.

There's a bunch of wrestling news coming out today.

Ric Flair Says He'll Be At The WWE Hall of Fame
Date Added: January 13, 2012
Story By: Steve Carrier
Ric Flair told fans during an autograph appearance Thursday at a Walmart in Burlington, North Carolina that he will be "on stage" for WWE's Hall of Fame induction ceremony WrestleMania weekend (March 31, 2012). Flair, who is under contract to TNA Wrestling, was advertised by WWE this week as one of the Four Horsemen to be inducted at the ceremony.

This sounds great and I want to see it, but honestly, I'll believe it when I see it. He's currently under contract with TNA and his word has been less than dependable lately.

1/9 RAW Breakdown: Ryder Segment Bombs
Date Added: January 12, 2012
Story By: Steve Carrier
- In what definitely hurt the RAW rating, the January 9th RAW Supershow did a 2.86 rating with 4 million viewers up against the Alabama vs. LSU BCS Championship football game which did a 16.22 rating and 24.21 million viewers.

The segment with Eve Torres in the ring, Kane coming out and Zack Ryder trying to save her by taking her to his car lost 544,000 viewers and did a 2.39 quarter rating. It's a bad sign when RAW loses over a half-million viewers before the main event. The main event of Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler and the end segment in the parking lot gained 640,000 viewers for a 2.84 overrun rating. This is about normal viewership for the overrun but the second-lowest rating going back to 1997.

Looks like Ryder's time may be coming to a end, and soon. And in other news ....

WWE Reports Zack Ryder Is Injured
Date Added: January 11, 2012
Story By: Steve Carrier
- WWE's website is reporting that United States Champion Zack Ryder was seriously injured at the hands of Kane on Monday's RAW Supershow.

The storyline article says WWE doctors have Ryder recovering from the injuries and it's unlikely he will be able to defend the United States Title on next week's RAW.

They add that Ryder will undergo further evaluation at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California before next week's RAW.

News on RAW & Brodus Clay
Date Added: January 12, 2012
Story By: Steve Carrier
- While WWE officials were happy with the way Brodus Clay returned on Monday's RAW, the general consensus backstage among the WWE crew was that this week's show in general was a bad one.

- For those wondering, the "Funk" gimmick for Clay was a new idea from WWE creative and has not been planned the whole time for his return.

Wait, they thought of this gimmick at the last second and people backstage are upset .... I didn't see that coming

Divas Idea Nixed, WM
Date Added: January 12, 2012
Story By: Marc Middleton
Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- After an article appeared on WWE's website last week about the old Women's Tag Team Titles, there was talk internally of creating a Divas Tag Team Title but the idea was shot down. The titles would have been mainly for The Bella Twins, who are being given more TV time.

:hmm: Good

Top Star Helped Chris Jericho Return, Feud with Orton
Date Added: January 12, 2012
Story By: Marc Middleton
- In a new interview with the Fight Club show from Chicago, former World Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page talks about Chris Jericho using his DDP Yoga to prepare for his WWE return. DDP said:

"Jericho gave a testimony saying DDP Yoga changed my life after one of our workouts. It was powerful for me for him to do that. They (doctors) said Chris Jericho had a herniated L4 and he was done and he came back with my workout. He texted me last night and said Santino (Marella) wants to do your workout. He said, 'I'm gonna get the whole locker room to do it."

"He (Jericho) did not think he was going to be able to come back. Within two weeks (after starting DDP Yoga) he was already feeling, 'wait a minute, I think I'm gonna be able to do this,' and then five weeks, that's when he put that testimonial that changed my life and I'm virtually pain free. Today, he's completely pain free."

DDP also said he recently signed a WWE Legends deal and while he doesn't see himself doing anything in the ring, the only person he would think about working with is Randy Orton so they could play off the Diamond Cutter vs. RKO angle.

Now why couldn't they have come up with that feud back in the day when DDP was a little younger and Orton was still doing the legend killer angle.

Im pretty sure most of us in here can do a better job than the current writers in the wwe

http://www.wwe-careers.com/wwe/jobboard/JobDetails.aspx?__ID=*AC5F80BAD409E322

currently looking for writers for their network

Yeah but as soon as we came in and said we're fans and have been for a long time, we would be disqualified from consideration. If they want help with booking, there are no shortages of experienced, traveled former wrestlers/personalities who could help them but they don't want them, they want former soap opera writers or actors or comedians with no wrestling exposure.

TNA was pretty decent tonight but the "Eric Young Comedy Act" has officially expired.

I still find Eric funny but it has to be done is short segments and they should let him really wrestle more. He's not Santino, he can really wrestle and has proved it.
TNA really doesn't want to make any money on ppvs. If they did, why would they give away the both of the main events of the previous ppv for free on tv? Book them into another tag match against each other. Let them cut promos and end up in a brawl. Anything but give away the match you wanted people to pay for the weekend before.

Henry was great on commentary and him threating Cole & Matthews was funny because when he makes threats it's more legitimate.

Man, every time he went in on Cole, I . I was trying to work out and I couldn't do shit for laughing so hard. His scripted promos aren't very good because they don't sound natural but when he's just talking, dude is very threatening.

And him working through his severe groin injury is incredible but I understand. This is the biggest push of his career and he doesn't have a lot of time left so he needs to make that money.

Wow. That shit was terrible. TNA did a good job with him. I couldn't even take that cat serious if that was my first time being exposed to him with that stupid ass gimmick.

Say what you will Clay's debut, but everybody is still talking about it. On the other hand, I've barely seen anything on Jericho week 2. WTF are they doing with that and more importantly, when are they going to do it? After the Royal Rumble maybe? :dunno:

Yea but its for the wrong reasons. People talking about Clay because they're disapointed with what they're doing with him and by next week no one will be talking about him and they would've just buried him even further than they already have.

One of my favorite Shelton Benjamin matches.

This spot is what I remember the most about this match.

Wow. Props on posting this. This is another match I never saw. That cat Shelton Benjamin was the shit. They kept worrying about personality and mic skills with that cat. That dude was or is gifted in the ring. That's one of the best matches i've ever seen. Even had the crowd booing Shawn Michaels. That was just a Raw match? And that shit wasn't even Main Event? Who had to follow that shit up? Damn. I almost don't even want to watch Raw next week. Great matches like that....shit I can't remember one that good without going back to the 90's.

And how did they not push the shit out of Shelton Benjamin after that? I seen that cat take Triple H to the wire too. I don't think he's anymore stale than Randy Orton is.

Thing is that they have presented Ryder badly and like a complete goof the last few weeks. And more importantly those were horrible segments. I don't give a fuck they could replaced Ryder with Hogan,Flair,HBK,HHH or Denzel Washington and nobody would have watched because the shit was stupid.

In other news, Lanny Poffo has stated that the WWE hasn't contacted the family about the Macho Man Randy Savage being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Considering the first 2 announcements it's doubtful that he's going in and shouldn't because he should be one of the headliners whenever he's put in which wouldn't happen this year. I hope that both Ric Flair and Barry Windham will be able to make it. I wonder if Paul Roma is going to show up.

When will WWE induct more black wrestlers into the HOF?

Butch Reed, Leroy Brown, Harlem Heat as a team, Kamala anyone? All are deserving based on their body of work.

2 things from Smackdown:
1) Brodus Clay's gimmick will feel alot better for me if he continues to have his dancers twerk and drop that ass after the match.
2) Damn damn damn AJ is looking good.

MVP and Shelton still nice with it. Hope they make their way back at some point to some wrestling organization.

Thx dtown, I notice TNA wasn't involved in Wrestling Kingdom this year I wonder why? Also the Complete Players are NJPW version of the Impact Players (Credible/Storm)

Any one of them is deserving but I only see Booker and Kamala getting in and with his health like it's been lately, they might have to do Kamala posthumously (sp?).

You can catch Shelton with Charlie Haas in ROH as the tag team champs. Just an awesome athlete, with not the best promo skills.

Couple random SD thoughts

Damn, Drew. Only Heath Slater loses to Ted Dibiase and he was never called "The Chosen One". Drew McIntyre must be the first guy punished for not beating up his wife.

Ezekiel Jackson must know his hairline is fucked so why stop shaving his head?
