Republican Presidential Candidates Are All Fucked up!

Bachmann calls Ron Paul left wing, Ron Paul's calls Sanatorium soicalist. Republicans are all fucked up!

Michelle Bachmann Says Ron Paul Is More Liberal Than Barack Obama

Ron Paul: Santorum is 'very liberal'

Care to put Ron Paul's economic record up to anyone in DC? Republican or Democrat

And Santorum, Romney, Bachmann, & Gingrinch are Socialists! Big govt republicans. The military industrial complex represents the largest form of corporate welfare. How can they seriously push for a balanced budget with all the militarism abroad?

It's Ron Paul VS. The Entire Establishment, CNN included

If you want another big-government politician who supports the status quo to run our country, you should vote for my uncle, Rick Santorum. America is based on a strong belief in individual liberty. My uncle’s interventionist policies, both domestic and foreign, stem from his irrational fear of freedom not working.

It is not the government’s job to dictate to individuals how they must live. The Constitution was designed to protect individual liberty. My Uncle Rick cannot fathom a society in which people cooperate and work with each other freely. When Republicans were spending so much money under President Bush, my uncle was right there along with them as a senator. The reason we have so much debt is not only because of Democrats, but also because of big-spending Republicans like my Uncle Rick.

John Garver is a 19-year-old student at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. John is a strong supporter of Ron Paul despite his love for family member Rick Santorum.

He doesn't have an economic recrod ole one bill passing in his political career.

Maybe it's simply because both Repubs & Dems don't understand monetary theory. For instance, over the last 10 years, the country has had 16 forms of stimulus and have 9% unemployment & huge amounts of debt to show for it.

Honestly, Do you have any confidence in what anyone in DC is doing from a monetary standpoint? True, Bush jacked up.....a lot, but the situation is not irreversable.

Just check out some of the things Ron Paul said in 2002 in regards to the "housing bubble". Of course, the Repubs & Dems couldn't have seen this coming. Hell, Chris Dodd told me the "underlying fundamentals of the economy were sound" 2 weeks before Bear Stearns & Lehman Bros folded.

This whole speech should be in bold because this cat outlined the problem 6 years before the fuckin crash.

Congressman Ron Paul
U.S. House of Representatives
July 16, 2002

“Mr. Speaker, I rise to introduce the Free Housing Market Enhancement Act. This legislation restores a free market in housing by repealing special privileges for housing-related government sponsored enterprises (GSEs). These entities are the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie), the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie), and the National Home Loan Bank Board (HLBB). According to the Congressional Budget Office, the housing-related GSEs received $13.6 billion worth of indirect federal subsidies in fiscal year 2000 alone.

One of the major government privileges granted these GSEs is a line of credit to the United States Treasury. According to some estimates, the line of credit may be worth over $2 billion. This explicit promise by the Treasury to bail out these GSEs in times of economic difficulty helps them attract investors who are willing to settle for lower yields than they would demand in the absence of the subsidy. Thus, the line of credit distorts the allocation of capital. More importantly, the line of credit is a promise on behalf of the government to engage in a massive unconstitutional and immoral income transfer from working Americans to holders of GSE debt.

The Free Housing Market Enhancement Act also repeals the explicit grant of legal authority given to the Federal Reserve to purchase the debt of housing-related GSEs. GSEs are the only institutions besides the United States Treasury granted explicit statutory authority to monetize their debt through the Federal Reserve. This provision gives the GSEs a source of liquidity unavailable to their competitors.

Ironically, by transferring the risk of a widespread mortgage default, the government increases the likelihood of a painful crash in the housing market. This is because the special privileges of Fannie, Freddie, and HLBB have distorted the housing market by allowing them to attract capital they could not attract under pure market conditions. As a result, capital is diverted from its most productive use into housing. This reduces the efficacy of the entire market and thus reduces the standard of living of all Americans.

However, despite the long-term damage to the economy inflicted by the government’s interference in the housing market, the government’s policies of diverting capital to other uses creates a short-term boom in housing. Like all artificially-created bubbles, the boom in housing prices cannot last forever. When housing prices fall, homeowners will experience difficulty as their equity is wiped out. Furthermore, the holders of the mortgage debt will also have a loss. These losses will be greater than they would have otherwise been had government policy not actively encouraged over-investment in housing.

Perhaps the Federal Reserve can stave off the day of reckoning by purchasing GSE debt and pumping liquidity into the housing market, but this cannot hold off the inevitable drop in the housing market forever. In fact, postponing the necessary but painful market corrections will only deepen the inevitable fall. The more people invested in the market, the greater the effects across the economy when the bubble bursts.

No less an authority than Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan has expressed concern that government subsidies provided to the GSEs make investors underestimate the risk of investing in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Mr. Speaker, it is time for Congress to act to remove taxpayer support from the housing GSEs before the bubble bursts and taxpayers are once again forced to bail out investors misled by foolish government interference in the market. I therefore hope my colleagues will stand up for American taxpayers and investors by cosponsoring the Free Housing Market Enhancement Act.”

House Democrats Rush Floor Demanding Republicans Come Back To Work, GOP Cuts Off C-SPAN

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and a group of Democratic lawmakers took to an empty House floor today to demonstrate that they were willing to work while Republicans lawmakers are at home. “Where are the Republicans?” demanded Assistant to the Minority Leader James Clyburn (R-SC). Joining Pelosi and Clyburn were five other House Democrats who are assigned to the payroll-tax extension conference committee.

Rep. Jeff Denham (R-CA), representing House Republicans, quickly banged his gavel over the Democrats’ voices, and instructed the clerk to stop taking notes of the proceedings. Moments later, the microphones were silenced and C-SPAN’s video feed was cut. (The House leadership controls the cameras and has previously cut video of Democrats on the floor.) Watch it:

The theatrical stunt also serves to underscore Provident Obama’s claim this week that Congress is effectively in recess, thus allowing him to make recess appointments, even though the Senate has been holding 30-second long pro-forma sessions.

Yea you republicans are quite predictable, aren't you!

I can't believe I used to debate pure stupidity.

I'm actually convince that the progressive movement is for people who don't think things through. Your whole premise about life, and politics makes no complete sense. If I had the energy to deal with you, I would like to go issue to issue with you to prove my point. However, you will act like a bitch like you always do. Liberals tend to do that. Sadly, it always seems like the dumbest person always have the loudest voice. Thus, why our community is fucked up like it is. Keep up dumbass, you're doing a good job...

BTW, if I go hard on you too hard, Que will come save you like he always do.

Why fight a fight, when you know you will win eventually? My point on how things should go will eventually beat out your political theory. It's just the gravity of the situation.

Come to think about it, this is why you act like this, and post all this bullshit. You know your side will eventually lose like they always do. Trying to deflect attention off what should be posted. God forbid I start posting something. Suddenly my posts are "credible". Bitch ass liberal shit.

BTW, if you think I'm calling you a bitch, go put on the red high heels Dorothy.

You exist in an entirely different universe than I do. It's called Texas!

Do you think republican presidential candidate, 4 term Texas governor Rick Perry was dumb for stating this? And what doesn't my post have anything to do with the original thread.

First off, there's no chance in hell that you will vote republican in your life. Thus, making this whole post pointless.

Secondly, even without the gaffes, you still considered Perry dumb. It's your nature.

Finally, how can I take you serious when, for the past three years, the only thing you complain about is what the republicans are doing. EVEN when your side had all the power for two of those years.

Sounds wingnutty to me....

BTW, the reason Rick Perry has won that many times is because he does what Texans want. He keeps taxes low, and business keeps moving in because of that. It's all about the money in Texas.

Hence the disparity of wealth distribution over the last 30 years.

Perry is finished any way. Keep that shit in Texass!
Or, better still, send his ass to Iraq since he's so in favor of sending other American sons & daugthers back.
