Miami Heat News

Ronny Turiaf bolsters Miami Heat’s depth

Free agent Ronny Turiaf finalized an agreement with the Miami Heat, league sources told Yahoo! Sports on Wednesday.

Turiaf, a 6-foot-10 forward, gives the Heat a strong rebounding and defensive presence as they fortify themselves for an NBA title run. Turiaf is another tough, experienced veteran who will help defend the Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

The deal was announced Wednesday.

After acquiring Turiaf as part of a three-team deal from the Washington Wizards at the league trade deadline, the Denver Nuggets bought out his contract and he cleared waivers on Tuesday.

Turiaf, 29, has missed most of this season after sustaining a hand fracture in early January, playing just four games with the Wizards. Turiaf averaged four points and three rebounds in 64 games for the New York Knicks a season ago.

Norris Coles look like he will develope into a better point than Chalmers IMO. Chalmers can be too arrogant at times.

Now Lebron working that post is going to fuck a lot niggas. Opposing coaches are going to have fun to try to stop Miami now.

I watched the Bulls' preseason game against the Pacers and it looks like the exact same fucking team. All I saw was pick and roll Rose offense. Someone on this board said Rose was working hard this summer... that nigga plays exactly the same. I didn't see any improvement. Yeah, Rip wasn't playing that night but oh well.

They said Battier got a strain because he was gaurding Bron in the practices

I want to see a line up of Lebron, Wade, Miller (if not 100% then Haslem), Battier and Bosh in a game. SMH.

Im looking forward to seeing new offensive sets.

We were downright predictable last year. It was horrible to watch. Our stars are versatile, they shouldnt always be getting the ball in the same spots all the time.

I wanna see James, Wade and Bosh in the post, I think they all have favorable matchups there. I wanna see more of them moving without the ball with screens and cuts. I wanna see that all 3 can play off of each other better.

Word out of camp is we will run more... which makes sense given our roster, but worries me because of the compact schedule.

Anyways, I cant wait to get started.

the quotes of Manhattan & BrownTurd might have much to do with that.

Think about a triangle offense with James on one side and Bosh on the other, strait nasty once James and Bosh post comfort levels are established.

No shit... Them niggas 10 for 10 with 3 minutes to go in the 4th.

The young guards are out there shooting lights out:yes:

Byars seems like he's not only trying to make the roster but looking for some keys minutes. I think with the season compressed schedule, young gunners might help.

I swear this team along with there fans have to be the most attention whoring group in the history of professional sports. :smh::smh::smh:

Chalmers is not a pure point, in my book, he don't have the ball handling skills nor do he have the ability to pass the way a pure point guard is supposed to pass.
Not only is Norris a pure point, he also is a leader who is not afraid to handle the ball during crunch time, and he also have lateral foot speed that Chalmers lack, so he should be a better defender vs the smaller quicker guards. I think Norris is going to surprise a lot of people the same way Rondo did, a few years back.
