Word. They say Storm is too Southern so there's the reasoning.![]()
His being Southern is supposed to be what Hogan liked about him since TNA does a lot of their house show business in the South and Midwest. Storm is a working class/regular guy type who can be serious or do comedy.
Bischoff still hasn't learned from his previous mistakes in WCW or by just watching the mistakes Vince made this summer with Punk/Cena: hotshotting doesn't work.
TNA's problem isn't Storm as champion.I like James Storm but his ascension or lack thereof to champion is evident of what's wrong with the company. They do things with little to no buildup far too often and are more interested in the swerve than in providing compelling storylines. Before Bischoff and Hogan showed up the storylines were shit but you at least knew that when the PPV came around the wrestlers would give you one hell of a show now the matches suck way too often to match the stories.
The problem is that there was literally a thousand better ways they could have went about doing that.

I wish I was.
On to other news: Barry Windham, the most natural guy to ever get in the ring and that's saying something, just had a heart attack and is in the hospital.
I hope he recovers soon. How this guy isn't an agent for someone is incredible. He could help a lot of these younger guys in how to pace and work their matches.
