is there a short of black british actors getting roles?

What in the fuck did they so to the show?
That's some bullshit... leroy is right, shit is not even subliminal, its plain as day... the black women are cock hungry whores. The black man was neutered in the first season, a simp in the second and fully emasculated with his poor sex performance in the third? Who thought of that shit power and who the fuck want it...
Man... this is some bull... made a ditz a rocket scientist and the other see your point of view? Of all the oprah bullshit powers, a super therapist? Fuck off...
while the other dudes get kick ass powers, he turns into a pat....

Emasculating the black male image
Blacks having no control over how they are perceived on television
Blacks being perceived one-dimensionally
We've been over this. Don't pretend like you haven't been in the threads.

leroy is right, shit is not even subliminal, its plain as day...

That wasn't me...most of the other cats put together how fucked up the show is...the only thing that caught my attention was them fuckin up Curtis by having him change into a female...damn man I'm gonna be watching this show next week w/ the Autobiography of Malcolm X in my lap w/ a mean mug on my face

This and they have made the show wack on top of that. The Walking Dead had that goofy ass T-Dog character, but the show is still solid... I just hope they going some where this season.

From the preview, it look like Curtis is going to pursue being a girl to fuck a girl. Some girl told him he was the worst fuck of her life so maybe he's trying to become her best friend as a female or he's going to see if she would be down with some taco-eating. So would that mean he would get his taco...

This shit about to get weird as fuck. Sharks is about to get to jumpin'.

so the hag white girl is a rocket scientist
the quiet weak ass twerp is now the "leader"
and now the black dudes power is he can turn into a girl......... and that's ok
:hmm::hmm:

why accept anything for the sake of "oh another black person is getting work" come on now man gotta have some kind of standards

kind of bs is this

the magic power of the black female lead was everyone wanted to fuck her
lmao come on man

Didn't know it had even started season 3. Tbh... it suffered from the sophomore slump. Don't know if I'm gonna watch this season.

1.OK.but in this same show we had a totally emasculated white dude too(Bitch rudy).
2.Agreed.
3.I feel the shows writers have done a good job making Curtis and Alisha three dimensional though.

Which they out set with making one white guy brave, loyal and just plain in hero mode. They have minorities who aren't shown in a good light at all. Which I can say fuck it... but how the fuck far are they going to go with making dude a bitch... well they literally made him a bitch.

Shouldn't they all be slowly becoming hero's in training. I might be lost but that is the idea I got and there is only one way that power is useful.

I mean come the fuck on. Who the fuck would take that power? Why wouldn't he wait until gets his new crop of powers? Its just sloppy fucking writing on top of bullshit.

y'all 4get, british shows are weird... the curtis thing is weird... i dont see the point but its how misfits is...the other chick became a rocket scientist so she could make money... also misfits was never a tight written show its a shock value show with interesting characters and half naked chicks, i mean come on... they have ppl with superpowers running around with no gov't trying to capture or exploit... they had a dude with jesus powers who called himself jesus having orgies...

simply put, misfits is not a deep show it pushes the envelope ...i dont agree with curtis becoming a chick but it fits the show..in the american version will probably be faggot...

Wasn't it explained that they ended up with the only powers Seth had left to give?

Wasn't it explained that they ended up with the only powers Seth had left to give?

still doesn't make sense that he would take that one though
everyone else went first, so it was being able to change into a girl or nothing?
i mean honestly...wouldn't you pick nothing and wait it out for something new to come?

What I have learned from Misfits:

All mixed bitches prefer white boys.

Black chicks are sluts.

Niggas is bitches.

:hmm:

I'm done with this bullshit show.
Fuck it.

***Possible spoiler alert***

No they didn't :( the one point of interest for me and they took her away...ah well

I don't miss Nathan's character but replacing him w/ a wannabe is kinda lame

The new powers are like wtf man???? :dunno:

I'll keep watching but this 1st ep was a lil disappointing

:yes::smh::smh: i got all that too

and another thing how come simon is the only one that got his power that he had in the future? while black dude could fly in the future with his fuckedup superhero outfit. and now the make him into a bitch that shit is foul.

when he saw the future he was not flying in it.

he had on a costume for a party and was with his half japanese chick...who they promptly killed off at the end of last season.

i dont know wtf to make of Simon's new powers. looks like he has super anxiety.

I thought he had Curtis' power but just more control over it?

It looks like he was able to make the jumps cuz he was able to see how it turned out if he did it a certain way and then he saw that he wouldn't make the last jump...I could be wrong tho :dunno:

From Wikipedia:

Iwan Rheon as Simon Bellamy initially turns invisible when ignored, and later at will. In Series 3, he displays the power of personal precognition; he can see the outcome of his actions before he actually tries to perform them, and can therefore choose to perform the act or not.

Lauren Socha as Kelly Bailey can hear people's thoughts (telepathy and empathy), usually when somebody judges her, but later demonstrates control. In series 3 she has gained the intellect of a rocket scientist, with the limitation that the level of her knowledge is limited to rocket science and propulsion systems.

Nathan Stewart-Jarrett as Curtis Donovan can rewind time to undo undesirable outcomes when he experiences regret or remorse. In series 3, he can change his sex at will.[citation needed]

Antonia Thomas as Alisha Bailey causes overwhelming sexual arousal in people with whom she makes skin-to-skin contact. In Series 3, she gains a form of clairvoyance, being able to see through the eyes of others to observe where they are and what they are doing.

Robert Sheehan as Nathan Young (series 1 and 2) is immortal and can interact with the recently deceased. He later acquires the ability to warp reality.

Joseph Gilgun as Rudy Wade (series 3) splits into two identical duplicates at moments of self doubt, with polarised self-confidence, one demonstrating arrogance, the other having more empathy.

Kind of reminds me of "Cloud", the character from Marvels "Defenders". (You gotta be an old-head comic collector to remember this character).

He/she was able to turn into a man or woman.

i can see why alisha would want to change powers and simon got an upgrade but have they explained why the others did so. nathan new powers may fit his personality but immorality is a more useful power depending on the limits of his powers if any and it keeps the show from getting boring. i know the actor is no longer on the show but that type of power is too much. nathan would not only be the strongest among the misfits bbut any villain they face. the same can be said for simon since he has curtis former ability and from whats been said here has better control. since curtis could not control it at well it didnt throw the show off. even when curtis did change the past he could see the limits/problems that could happen if used wrong. i always thought alisha would gain more control over her power and be similar to the female from the show Alphas.

also im happy to see i wasn't the only person that thought the black actors weren't shown in the best light. at first i thought i was being to sensitive given they were all fuck ups or maybe i didnt know /understand enough about the UK culture.

I was mistaken...technically their powers are diff...Curtis actually rewound time and didn't see into the future...he was just able to go from the moment in the present where something fucked up happen back to a starting point to try and change the moment he came back from...Simon's ability is to see in the future but it it limited strictly to his actions whereas when Curtis rewound time he could invoke changes that affected "everyone"

*Edit*

Curtis powers seemed to be triggered by distress (or regret/remorse as stated in the wiki)...I am still wondering why it wasn't triggered when ol girl was killed
