Official HP TouchPad Tablet Thread (just getting ready!)

Got CM7 running on my Touchpad!! It's pretty good for an alpha. Not without it's glitches though. I have no doubt the Cyanogenmod Team will work out the bugs.

Right now I am trying out cpu master to bump the minimum clock speed up to 384 for when it goes into idle to posssibly prevent this. You could use setcpu as well. I can't confirm yet cause i can't put it down!!

Finally it has arrived. I gave it to my girl. I don't know if it was because it was 32 gigs or what. Shit took forever. But I am happy with it and it plays megavideo out the box. You got to love that. I now wish I got two of them. Nice device! The ability to surf pages with flash is awesome.

wouldn't it be easier to post the Cyanogenmod 7 Android Alpha links in this thread for cats to install on their touchpad instead of telling ninjas where to go and navigating through a bunch of b.s?

finally got mine yesterday. fed ex almost gave me a heartattack, they delivered it to the apt next to me. damn dominicans :smh:

now where's the free shit?

I've got the touchpad and have it tweaked but will wait for CM7 to release the final version.

Does the CM7 release change the clock speed on the Touchpad? I read elsewhere that one of the android mods (not sure which) change the clock speed back to the original speed and didnt allow the user to change the speed back to 1.5 or above.

Not sure if that is true I think all you need is setcpu

I'm running cm7 on my joint and I like it ok I've come to enjoy webos though so I think I'm going back full-time the webos gestures are so fucking useful

updated to cm7 2.1...fixed a whole lot of bugs heres the download for 2.1
http://uploaded.to/file/b0vyuaxd
if you already got cm7 installed just save the file(in android) in a folder ,remember folder, reboot, click to recovery , install from zip then navigate to the folder you put it in. might have took five minutes.
btw if you got preware installed yesterday i noticed a whole lot of the patches got updated because of the hp 3.04 update. i know 3.04 changed the cpu speed back to regular dont think android did. heard some were using uberkernel to get back to 1.5 cpu speed

Yo I'm gonna stall the original cm7 first then the update.

ok, so now that I have the CM7 mod installed....how/where do I load my android apps?

I thought I did....don't see it. How do I go back to webos, perhaps I didn't add it in the cminstaller folder.

You don't have to do that if you installed it already. Make sure you are connected to your wifi. Go into settings then accounts & sync and enter your gmail address and password. then your google apps like the market should appear. if not then download this zip and put it in the root of your storage and flash in recovery http://cmw.22aaf3.com/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip You can get to the recovery and webOS by holdimg down the power button in cm7 and selecting it from there.

:cool:I have the market working, now I just want to drag apps I have on my MacBook over to the touchpad......what folder do I use?

When you connect your touchpad to your computer, drag the statusbar open and choose 'select to copy files to/from your computer'. then your touchpad should behave like a usb device. from there you can drop it anywhere and when you disconnect it from your computer open file manager and navigate to your apks you transferred over and select them to install. you will have to make sure you check off 'install from unknown sources' in applications under the main menu to allow them to install.
