The plan was to stop the formation of an African central bank and the idea of trading oil in gold dinars.

Libya is at the door step of europe so destabilizing libya will just set off a domino effect into europe. Libya is not like afganistan or iraq the logistics are different. The so called libyan revolution will turn into something else very quickly, a couple of days ago there was images on al jazeera of the massacres of black africans with their hands tied. From the lynchings to mass muder do these libyans honestly think these rebels will bring change when they are clearly worse than ghadaffi

The only reason he wanted to be King of Africa was for his own control. The only reason some of them supported him was because he had the money.
That central bank would have had notes with his face on them.
