Pretty good match, but not main event good. But definitely the best match of the night (***1/2). So that's 3 matches on this card worth checking out (but not breaking your neck to see). This was Impact's Wrestlemania, speaks volumes for the company. I gotta go watch some Chikara or Shimmer right away to rinse the bad from this show out of my system.

oh what the fuck happened???

i walked out and the show was over when i came back

what he said. I came back in the link was showing some NASCAR shit or something. Did Rob win it?

edit:
Wikipedia .... On October 16 at Bound for Glory, Roode failed in his attempt to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship when he was pinned by Angle, after the referee failed to notice his arm under the ropes.

Really. really. not only did he lose, but his lost dirty.

I'm glad that I didn't see this PPV.That said when is the Chikara IPPV again because I may order that.I want to see who becomes the first to hold the belt in Chikara.I thought that it was going to be Castagnoli til he signed with the WWE.

Jim Ross Blasts WWE In New Rant On Twitter
WWE News Tags: Jim Ross, John Laurinaitis

Jim Ross wrote a rant on Twitter this morning following being called in for Saturday night’s RAW taping in Mexico City (Spoilers). Here’s what the man who served as WWE’s Head Of Talent Relations during some of their most successful years had to say:

“Found out about mexico city late Thursday. Not happy to miss OU game but EVP talent & Co could care less. Nice way 2 go out on wk’ly TV.”

“I’m under contract to wwe. Well paid by team I helped build. Quitting for me not an option. Those that suggest such I feel for.”

“Do I like Raw GM silliness? No. If inclined could I handle that role? Sure. Am I interested? Nope.”

“Leaving Mexico City. Mon’s Raw could well be my last but who really knows? John L & his higher ups know. Hope u tune into Raw Mon nite.”

“4 the record, play by play in WWE’s dead. Funkhauser, the GM, enforces ‘story telling’ on Raw. Holds don’t exist. WWE board needs counseling.”

“If Laurinaitis & his corporate cronies feel Cole is the ‘voice of Raw’ then they are more out of touch than I thought. Fans want wrestling.”

“Funkhauser/ Raw GM is available for speaking engagement for schools for the hearing impaired. Contact @CMPunk 4 more info. This is too easy.”

“When announcers speak of something. TOTALLY unrelated 2 what viewers are seeing on TV screen it’s disconnect. Does GM&cronies not get that?”

“The naive fan thinks some announcers can solve perceived WWE broadcast issues. News flash…THEY CAN’T. Announcers being ‘Funkhausered’.”

“Note to Laurinaitis & peer hungry cronies: over mgmt of all broadcasters akin to putting a bit in a horse’s mouth. It’s all about control.”

“Funkhauser, hello. Doing English speaking, in ring promos to Spanish speaking audience=no reaction. Duh. Oh, wait my bad, WWE’s ‘global.’

“My financial status isn’t anyones business. I know the drill for me in OKC. I’m a big boy & realistic. Raw is a tv show not my life.”

“I can assure anyone who cares or thinks they need to know the dirt. I have zero booking ahead for WWE weekly or PPVs. Believe what u choose.”

It makes zero sense for Hogan and Sting to unite, but the crowd is buying into it for whatever reason. I gotta say, for as little as Hogan can do (especially nowadays) the crowd eats up "Hogan saves the day" routines. Still a bad match, but at
least it woke up the crowd.
:angry::angry::angry::angry: WHAT DA FUGGGG?!?!

They've been building to Hogan flipping back with Sting talking about "the real Hogan coming back" but this still didn't make sense but the live crowd ate it up and the match was much, much better than I thought it would be.
TNA dropped the ball on the main event. You end your biggest show with a big moment and that should have been Roode winning the title (though I did predict he wouldn't and Hogan saying he's not the "next big guy" convinced me). The match was good but the ending left me flat.
I was disappointed in the finish to AJ-Daniels but I got some relief by the attack at the end. I'm of the mind they should have had Daniels win, Roode win and then they feud for the World title at Turning Point or whatever ppv is next.
Anderson and Ray had a really good match, I thought and the opening with Aries-Kendrick was very good. My only other real complaint is Karen Jarrett's involvement in the KO title match. When the women were allowed to work, it was fine, not great but good enough but there was too much KJ and it took away from the action. That said, Velvet Sky has been built up in the same way as Bobby Roode and they made the right move in putting the belt on her, at least for a short run.

I liked the show but they ate up too much time with Hardy and Jarrett (should have saved that for Impact) and with the Hogan-Sting aftermath and cut time from Angle-Roode and it seemed like they were rushing at times.

That Hardy/Jarrett brawl added absolutely nothing to the show or the feud. You mean to tell me we needed that segment instead of having a longer, better booked, Styles/Daniels match? For as bad as WWE is right now, even they wouldnt pull that bullshit on what would've easily been match of the night.

This is the same WWE that moved Bryan/Sheamus to the pre show and still had a non-finish at WrestleMania so they could have more time for skits with Snoop Dogg and Rock.
I'm against a Hardy/Jarrett feud anyway. I would have been more satisfied if Gunner had come in and hit Hardy with his F5 finisher and those two feud. Jeff Hardy wants back in mgmt's (and the fans) good graces, let him put over one of the young guys like Gunner, show he's about the company.
Jarrett should be feuding with Kazarian. They've been cutting promos on each other and their wives are mixed up with each other so just book the obvious feud.

The finish to the I Quit match was why I hate I Quit matches. Any I Quit match that doesn't involve Tommy Dreamer ends up with a bullshit finish. Didn't JBL already pull out the "quitting just from being threatened" move? I knew it was going to be some shit and they did it.

Word is already getting out that Roode was supposed to go over and win the title but Hogan changed it.

:smh:

The dude killed the biggest show of the year for the company. He just signed a two year extension but either some people are going to leave or he will. He won't finish out his contract.

i just read that!!! i was just about to say the same thing. i knew something was wrong, because i saw the tape on angles leg, and i thought for sure roode was walkin out champion. then i saw the expression on his face, and how sloppy the finish was, and i knew right there it was a screwjob. fuckin roode just sat there...like what the fuck...i was supposed to win...if u saw the ppv no one even fuckin clapped or booed after the three count they just sat there like is that it? i thought someone was gonna restart the match

I hate that "restart the match" gimmick but I was too. I looked at my dvr to see how much time they had and was hoping that was not it.

I was already irritated that Hogan's segment already made the main event short by running long but to read how he sabotaged the main event:smh:
What the fuck was Dixie thinking even listening to that shit? TNA has gone as far as it can with these old guys eating up tv time and they have a roster that can go in the ring and on the mic and name guys like Jeff Hardy, Angle, and RVD to boost them up.
And fuck, Hogan just signed a two year deal, if you decided to not listen to him, what was he going to do about it? Leave?

my god, two more years? smgdh. before hogan got there, i was watching tna regularly. that shit has become wcw jr.eric bishoff and hulk hogan. r u fuckin serious.i would rather watch the main event mafia than this shit. you got nwo (immortal) vs wcw (impact roster) with a lil bit of four horseman (fortune) its so damn sickening. if i was roode i would never fuckin forgive hogan for last night. it was a dumbass and unwarranted change. roode should be the fuckin champion, and the ratings would rise. they could have went right into either a rematch angle, or even better....roode vs storm angle. i know its coming.

Hogan is cancer! Vince Mcmahon created the monster known as Hulk Hogan. Hogan is a leach he killed WCW, XWF and TNA is on life support.

TNA loss countless wrestlers when Hogan came on board. Dixie Carter is dumb just like Bischoff was in WCW.

Exactly. No matter what he says Hogan desperately needs the money so he isn't going anywhere.Besides after the build up Roode winning would have been a great payoff and the signature moment of their biggest PPV but I'm guessing that Hogan figured if Angle won his turn would take that spot instead.Plus giving Roode the belt would give the company a new figurehead since we know what the company would do with Angle as champ or with a member of Immortal as champ.

How much you wanna bet Hulk Hogan finds a way to put the belt on James Storm just to be a dick? He already said that's who he thinks should be the champion. And him helping Sting was one of the worst turns I have ever seen. Vince has enough money in his sofa to but TNA. I wish he would to some degree....

i hated when he bought wcw. but they were done. tna running the same damn course. what pisses me off the worst is the fact that they are LETTING hogan do this shit. he wont put it on storm, if they do im done. and turning on immortal not only made no sense, but it was corny as fuck. sting crawling like a bitch..."help me hogan...(chair shot)...help me hogan! (chair shot). what the fuck man. nigga sting ate those chair shots like they were made of styro foam. and hogan...this mafucka rips the shirt off and helps sting like he didnt just have like 7 months of beef with him. and the lead up to that match indicated no fuckin turn at all. man fuck tna

I agree 100%. Unless some serious changes, I don't think they will be around much longer. Especially with ROH on the rise. There is still time, but they need some major work done. Oh, I guess they are going to turn Matt Morgan heel as well to feud with Crimson.:smh:

You mean to tell me this muthafucka hated Sting up until the point where he's getting jumped and he's like "help me Hogan" and then this muthafucka has a change of heart? What kind of shit is that?

Seriously, they need to get rid of Hogan.

I liked TNA for a minute because they had good unknown or previously un-used talent.

I haven't watched TNA in months because every time I turn to that shit, it's either Hogan, Bischoff or Sting on TV. I don't wanna see them. That's fuckin' WCW. These old muthafuckas wrestling in fuckin' t-shirts and sweatpants now. Dyeing their hair every two weeks. Hang it up.

When will it be enough? How long do they plan on riding this old ass, back in the day, shitty Vince Russo booking wrestling shit? It's gotten to the point where it's like "how many times, how many different ways can we flip Hogan, Bischoff, Sting and Flair on each other?" Can they move on already? They need fresh ideas.

Going in I didn't think Roode was in position to win because it looked like they had Crimson, Ken Anderson and Jeff Hardy on deck but as it got closer, I was started to get behind Bobby. With him as champ, they could go with him vs. Daniels (Fortune vs Fortune) or Bully Ray, who deserves a run on top. Then they could still have a great Angle match and a world title main event.

While I like Angle, with his DUIs and all the extra shit he likes to do, plus he's getting up there in age and his body is breaking down, the right move to make is put the title on a young gun who TNA fans buy as a top guy and that's Roode.

How much you wanna bet Hulk Hogan finds a way to put the belt on James Storm just to be a dick? He already said that's who he thinks should be the champion. Never that. Vince almost killed the industry buying ECW and WCW so I would never want him to buy TNA. I'll just wait until Hogan and Bischoff get bored or Dixie finally "smartens up". That's why I try to get people to support anything Hogan and/or Bischoff is involved in, no matter how stupid, whether it's midget wrestling or reality shows. If they can make a buck outside wrestling, they'll leave and never come back (well, Bischoff won't come back, as soon as Vince calls Hulk, he's back in WWE and that call will come).
I wouldn't mind a Storm title run. I think that's the one thing Hogan has gotten right about TNA. James Storm is awesome.

I agree 100%. Unless some serious changes, I don't think they will be around much longer. Especially with ROH on the rise. There is still time, but they need some major work done. Oh, I guess they are going to turn Matt Morgan heel as well to feud with Crimson.:smh:

TNA will be around a long time. They're signing international deals right and left and just got a multi million dollar deal with Direct Auto. Say what we want, but unlike WCW and ECW at their ends, TNA is profitable and moving in the right direction, financially.

Turning Morgan would be stupid. They really do too many turns.

james storm is a great talent, and even bigger personality, but i would love roode to have the belt before him. like i said i been a fan since team canada, one of the best groups if not THE best group tna has ever seen. i would actually love to see a team canada reunion, i wish petey williams never left. the canadian destoyer was one of the hypest moves i ever saw. when he was setting you up. people in the stands stood up EVERY TIME. now THAT was a stable. but yes, upgrade i can tell u kno what the hell u talkin bout lol i agree. TNA is well off, so they wont just disappear, but i must admit, when HHH was "in charge", i watched wwe more. but after they did JR dirty (he even said he knew nothing about that shit) i have my reservations. michael cole pisses me off. and the talent in wwe....meh. im tired of cena, unk is starting to wear off, he is trying too hard now. shits getting boring over there...

Finally got some word on why they continue to job out Joe

They think he's leaving. Ever since Steve Austin said WWE needs to get him on Twitter, they've been afraid he was going to leave. Add to that one of his best friends, CM Punk, was getting a majr push and might try to get Joe in (hasn't helped Colt Cabana has it?).Never mind they just re-signed him earlier this year to a 2-3 yr deal. Never mind that when he was available, WWE never, ever expressed any interest.

Stupid. Dude still gets major pops from the audience, on the road and in the Impact Zone and they won't push him anymore over stupid shit.

Just finished watching the faceoff on last week's Impact! with the Knockouts and when Mickie James came down to the ring in those TIGHT ASS jeans, I even heard Taz go "Uh." Thickie James is the troof.

At the very least TNA could have at least had interference cost Roode the match to set him up with a new feud. The way they did it Roode will get a rematch but either he'll lose again and nobody will care even if he gets screwed or he'll win and it won't get half the pop him winning last night would have gotten unless they are in Canada.

NoDQ.com > TNA > More on why Bobby Roode didn't win the title
Posted by Dave Mitchell on 10/17/2011 at 11:11 AM

Credit: PWInsider.com

Sunday at Bound for Glory, Bobby Roode failed in his attempt to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship when he was pinned by Kurt Angle, after the referee failed to notice his arm under the ropes or Angle using the ropes for leverage.

TNA had originally planned for Roode to defeat Angle for the belt. Hulk Hogan, however, lobbied to have the finish changed since he felt that the former Team Canada member wasn't ready for a run with the title.

Between that and his war of words with AJ Styles in the last few days, there was a lot of resentment towards Hogan among the long time employees. Especially since Hogan was criticizing Styles on Twitter when it was known that he had missed Saturday's Fan Interaction event due to a death in his family.

I lost what little respect I had for Hogan after seeing this shit

NoDQ.com > WWE > CM Punk Turns Down WWE Movie Role (Details)
Posted by Dave Mitchell on 10/17/2011 at 10:00 AM

CM Punk recently turned down a WWE Studios movie role, according to an interview he gave in Australia last week. This past summer when Punk was considering leaving WWE and negotiating a new contract, Stephanie McMahon offered him the lead role in the movie “No One Lives.”

Punk stated that Stephanie thought he was perfect for one of the characters, described as a “30-something scumbag with dirtbag good looks and soulless eyes.” Punk said he considered the role, but decided to pass on it because he thought he might be finishing with WWE at the time.

As previously reported, WWE is very high on CM Punk at the moment and has big plans to get behind him later this year. Aside from his character getting a big push on television (and a rumored WWE title run), WWE is looking to introduce lots of new CM Punk merchandise and feature him in a WWE Studios project at some point

NODQ.com > WWE > Spoilers: Updated Card For WWE Vengeance
Posted by Dave Mitchell on 10/17/2011 at 10:03 AM

Following WWE's RAW and SmackDown tapings from Mexico City over the weekend, there have been several changes made to the card for Vengeance. The previously scheduled tag team title match with Air Boom vs. Ziggler & Swagger has apparently been scrapped, with Dolph Ziggler now set to defend the United States title against Zack Ryder. Teddy Long also announced Sheamus will wrestle Christian.

With those matches set, here's the updated card for WWE Vengeance on Sunday, October 23rd:

Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Title
John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio

World Heavyweight Title Match
Big Show vs. Mark Henry

CM Punk and Triple H vs. The Miz and R-Truth

WWE United States Title Match
Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler

WWE Divas Title Match
Eve Torres vs. Beth Phoenix

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton

Sheamus vs. Christian

^^^So Cena is in another Last Man Standing Match which he never loses. The match is going to go the same as always Del Rio,Rodriguez and maybe even Brodus Clay will jump him, whoop his ass for 15-20 minutes and then he'll make a comeback and win.So Cena got the title a month ago to lose it 2 weeks later without even being in the ring and then gets it back 3 weeks later.Gotta love the WWE.

yeah, that about sums it up, but will he still have the title when wrestlemania rolls around ??? at some point the cena/rock storyline will have to start back up

It will at Survivor Series where the Rock is currently slated to wrestle.

I saw that on Slater. Damn boy, you were already a jobber and you do this?
Bad timing too. With John Morrison looking like he's out, a spot is about to open up and Slater just took his name off the list to fill it.
