Sup BGOL fam'. Thanks to my iPad 2, I'm able to conveniently read through a lot of comic series in between doing things. Just finished reading through all the World War Hulk comics (GREAT!) and 3 issues away from reading all of the Icon comics (GREAT!). From tomorrow I'll start reading through a new series. For my Japanese end of things I'm reading through Claymore (in Japanese). But I need a recommendation for the English side of things. Between The Walking Dead, House of M, Invincible, Bloodshot, Shadow Cabinet, Sludge, Prime, Negation, Hardware, and Firearm which would you all recommend I dig into next? Your feedback would be really appreciated.

Some of the New 52 comics from DC are pretty good. Check the sticky.

Invincible and Walking Dead at the same time.

Basically...I hadn't read comics probably since the early-mid 90s until I got my iPad...read a few miniseries but The Walking Dead and Invincible (same writer/artist) single-handedly made me fall in love w/ comics again...

Thanks for the feedback. I downloaded all of these to my iPad 2, but decided to read through Bloodshot (love it so far, don't sleep on this for those who haven't read it) and Invincible (pretty good, but waiting until it gets into the groove that so many swear by) as my next American comics.

I'll hit up Negation and Walking Dead next.

Yeah, Bloodshot is pretty old (90s), but excellent. For me, it doesn't have to be a comic series that particularly new (although I'd prefer it be from the 90s until now if I'm just getting into it). It's funny, I remember buying the chrome covered Bloodshot comic back in the day (still have it at my parents' place in America) but never taking it out to read. Just collected it. Now, I'm about 20 issues into the Bloodshot comic, and it's EXCELLENT. Perfect amount of grittiness with great storytelling and artwork (and due to the continuity tightness of the Valiant universe, characters from other Valiant comics pop in and out frequently). And although I'm liking Invincible (about 11 issues into it so far), I'm not blown away by it like I am with Bloodshot so far. But I'll stick with it until I get through through it all (put over 80 issues of Invincible into the iPad 2).

Bloodshot was a good read...don't think I read the whole series...on 2nd thought maybe you can drop the link(s) if you have it  but ya nothing wrong by far w/ reading the old joints...I was still heavy into comics tho around that time so I read a lot of shit from then...I forgot about Valiant tho...Harbinger was decent Shadowman and Archer & Armstrong

Valiant's book were always good and solid. Only when Doctor Mirage came on the scene and they got bought out by Acclaim do they start to falter a bit.

There is a place in Brooklyn. Koch comics you can pick up the Valiant Trades for $1.00 each. Many of them are still in the seal. They also have the single issues in their 4 for $1.00 box.

I was a fan of Rai and because of Rai I read Bloodshot. Rai would be a great book to read as many of the storyline of Bloodshot will seem...well just read it. :)

Here is where I'm getting my Valiant comic fix from

mycomicpost.com

Seems a lot of people are swearing by Shadowman and X-O Manowar, so I'll load those to the iPad to read on a later date
